But on the ayurveda group Mridula was recommending 1/4 tsp
 cinnamon with 1
tablesp of honey in hot water before food in the mornings
 we just started
that this morning - will let you know how it goes. According
 to Mridula
people were having miraculous results with it. This is for
 aches pains
  of, I gather, arthritic origin.

That's interesting Jane.  I was recently made aware of another, similar
treatment for arthritic pain:  one tablespoon of ACV (with the mother) and one
tablespoon of raw honey, mixed in hot water and taken just before bedtime.
Actually, it was brought to my attention for acid indigestion and reflux
problems (which I have), but is supposed to help with arthritic pain too.

Gotta say -- it works for the acid indigestion problem!!

That sounds nice - might try that too - I usually take Chamomille tea with
honey lemon in hot water at bedtime - but the ACV sounds good too - I tried
cinnamon and honey before but I put more cinnamon in it was too strong - this
was just right tho.

Thanks MaryAnn :))

Cayenne is very strong so not much.
I usually take a 6 oz bottle of 100% juice, add 1/3 cup of ACV(raw) honey to
suit  and 1/4 tsp of cayenne.  I put this all in a juice container leave in
frig
and sip on it all day long.

Cayenne pills are not good.  You have to get the taste in your mouth to trigger
the stomach secretions that protect the stomach lining.

Try using even less  and work his way up.  The capsaicin in the cayenne is the
pain killer  and it really works.

Keep diluting until you find a level that he can tolerate.  It is an acquired
taste so after time you will be able to give him even more.

CSRE: Cayenne

2012-10-09 Thread Dianne France

I had read the book Curing with Cayenne and had decided to use cayenne to
help with blood pressure. Mine wasn't bad but ithad gotten to the high side of
normal and climbing. I was also having some veins I didn't like the looks of
so figured I would trycayenne. I went to the health food store and bought the
90,000 heat units powder in bulk. I mix one tsp. in about an ounceof grape
juice or cherry juice and try to get it down quickly after eating. I have a
candy peppermint patty waiting to immediately go into mymouth to take the heat
away. Sugar will calm heat but don't drink water because it will make it
worse. It calms quickly. My blood pressure has dropped to 106/58 and my pulse
rate has come down a couple beats so far. I'veonly been taking this a few
weeks and feel better. I haven't noticed any arthritis relief as yet but
wasn't aware it would help that problem.I was also hoping to bring my core
temperature up because I run subnormal. No report on that effect due to broken
thermometer. I also bought some of Dr. Christopher's eye drops to start using
but just got those in so I don't have any report on if they work. They
alsohave cayenne in them. Dianne

I have to make it so DH will drink it
though - I can't even get pepper into him - and to swallow a cyenne tab is bad
enough! He hates hot stuff! I'll drink it for him - I wonder if
ginger would do instead?

If you add some cayenne to that mix, you will get even more amazing
results. In less than 3 weeks, heel spurs, bone spur on wrist were
totally gone and have not come back in years. Also
arthritis pain miraculously disappeared as well.

That's interesting Jane. I was recently made aware of another,
similar treatment for arthritic pain: one tablespoon of ACV (with the
mother) and one tablespoon of raw honey, mixed in hot water and taken just
before bedtime. Actually, it was brought to my attention for acid
indigestion and reflux problems (which I have), but is supposed to help with
  arthritic pain too.

Gotta say -- it works for the acid indigestion problem!!

But on the ayurveda group Mridula
was recommending 1/4 tsp cinnamon with 1 tablesp of honey in hot water before
food in the mornings we just started that this morning - will let you
know how it goes. According to Mridula people were having miraculous results
with it. This is for aches pains of, I gather, arthritic
  origin.

2012-10-09 Thread Renee
My poor Dad. He couldn't tolerate anything hot at all. He was diabetic and
one day my Mom and I were shopping. When we came in Dad was in his chair,
out of it, kind of slumped over and not responsive. I thought he had a
stroke or heart attack so I got out my super hot cayenne tincture and put a
dropper full in his mouth. Swallow response was instinctive. Gave him a
second dropper full. Was putting the third dropper up to his mouth and his
hand slowly came up and he waved 'no'-so I stopped. I thought-if he can do
that, that's enough cayenne maybe.

Mom had of course called the ambulance while I was doing this and about then
they came running up to the door. When they checked he was actually in a
diabetic 'coma' rather than a heart issue. They rushed him to the hospital
where they straightened him out. He came home the next day.

For about 3 days he could barely whisper and kept saying 'they must have put
something down my throat because it's so sore'. Lol I didn't dare tell him
I dosed him with habannero cayenne tincture.

Samala,

Renee

Well he sure tasted the cayenne before he got the pill down the face told me
that and we pulled him out of the stroke he had a month ago with zero
lasting impact. But yes I can try him with minimal amounts to keep up the
good work

ROFL - didn't he do a routine glucometer check? I've only had M in a semi
conscious state once and brought him out of it with the phone support of my
then doc - 100u/s Insulin it took over 4 hours - since then I have been more
careful This was around 5 years ago - any time the glucometer goes out of range
I just give Insulin until it's normal(ish) again. He runs higher than the
accepted norm anyway.

I wonder if it is something to do with the diabetes than makes them so
sensitive to peppery stuff? Could be. Salt is another thing the pancreas
needs and this man tolerates a heap of salt! (Usually the Celtic variety - I
haven't tried him with the bamboo one yet)

Speaking of salt they are offering 3 - 4kg blocks in the produce store
Himalayan Salt licks (for the cattle) for $12 which I thought was a good price.

I have heard that diabetes (and appendicitis) are due to chronic constipation?

Renee,

I have never had my throat sore from cayenne, particularly the next day.
HOWEVER, when I had to go the hospital and they put a tube down my throat which
they could have well done with your father, it was sore for the next few days.
I still recall how that felt!

I sometimes temper hot, spicy foods with sour cream. I have no idea if this
would destroy the virtue of the pepper, though, though I think fats in general
are good as carriers for pepper. L

No, we were with him while they stabilized him. It was low blood sugar,
they gave him something, then got him to eat, then let him sleep. I went
and got him the next morning.

It was the cayenne. I've never had a sore throat either, but then he NEVER
ate anything hot, complained about black pepper on his food, and I gave him
2 full droppers of hab tincture with my wild chili pequins added in. and
those chili pequins are even hotter than habs!

I think because he was out of it the swallowing may have gone slowly, or
maybe it happened because he never took anything hot. Whatever the reason,
it was the tinc.

No, he never checked his blood sugar. The doctors were exasperated with
him, and finally just said-take 2 shots a day of x amount of insulin. His
doc didn't like it but they knew dad would never check and it was the only
way to 'control' the diabetes. And because he took shots Dad figured he
could eat whatever he wanted. It was frustrating.

He'd never had his sugar drop that low before and it was the first time he
ever was out of it. then it happened 2 more times. The second time they
took him to the ER but the third time they said-we can take him, but now you
know what it is and you can give him such and such here at home and get him
out of it. do you want us to take him?

I said no, and brought him out of it myself. Mom got really sick and passed
not too long after that, and by then Dad was blind so moved in with us and I
got his diabetes under control. Started taking his blood tests because he
couldn't tell me no like he could Mom. J

Yeah, Dad loved salt. And he had chronic constipation. But I've heard a
lot of theories about why people get type 2. And it can always be cured
with the correct food, so-food related.

Oddly though, Peter Kulish has said that his enzyme product removes plaque
from the arteries. To test this out he gave it to several doctors that he
knows to test on their patients. Not only did it clear the arteries, the
diabetics who were on the circulation enzymes became un-diabetic. They
couldn't figure out why as the enzymes didn't have a thing to do with sugar
or diabetes. Finally they theorized that the enzymes were not just cleaning
the walls of the arteries but that they must have also been cleaning the
CELL walls of plaque too, and that once the plaque was off the cell walls of
the pancreas, it started working again normally and the symptoms of diabetes
stopped! Very interesting, huh?

Yes I love it - does he still sell those enzymes? ^_^

Ah yes low coma is a bit dodgy - the only time I took M to his endocrinologist
he was feeling shaky so the guy took his BGL which was 3.1mmol/L WAY too low
for M M said Aw I didn't bring barley sugar with me - to which the retort
came back - well you're stupid aren't you - I'll see you in a month he showed
us the door - I raced him back to the nursing home and made him a sandwich
asap!! We never returned - I do sliding scale Insulin doses now relating to
what he eats and what his readings are and fortunately the new doc doesn't care.

What I have wondered is whether a minimal dose of oral cayenne, hardly
discernable, would be sufficient to tell the stomach what is coming so
that a capsule of the stuff could be administered separately to do the
work. I wondered whether that would be enough to avoid the unexpected
arrival of hot stuff in the stomach. Maybe tiny bit of cayenne in a
little bit of soup?

Cayenne pills are not good. You have to get the taste in your
mouth to trigger the stomach secretions that protect the stomach
lining.

Try using even less and work his way up. The capsaicin in the
cayenne is the pain killer and it really works.

Keep diluting until you find a level that he can tolerate. It is
an acquired taste so after time you will be able to give him even
