Hi Tony,
Well that depends on who considers it politically incorrect I suppose, I'm not
into political correctness, never have been, that's a modern day invention
thought up by those who have little concept of more important and pressing
issues of the day to which they should be channelling their energies and
scholastic abilities.
Your quote: I think that if I used that in that context now I would be in jail
pdq. And that's an example of how academia is changing cultures and who we
are as a people in general.
Google...'wog for flu' and you'll get definitions, Wiki has it listed, but be
quick for tomorrow things may have changed overnight BG. In the context the
word is used here it has absolutely zero to do with an individuals nationality,
it's just a slang word used in reference to the common old cold or flu. If I
were to call an immigrant that, then that's a different story of course, then
it becomes personal. Old habits die hard mate, and I'll only change when
decomposition starts to set in g.

The problem is that the electrochemicals being produced build up in the
skin because the skin doesn't have much blood flow rate to dilute them as
fast as they are being made.

Those are chemical burns.
5 ways to prevent..can all be used at once or any in part.

Reduce voltage [potentiometer]
Reduce electrolyte conductivity..ie dilute it with more water [does the
same thing as the pot, but in a different spot]
Increase electrode pad area to spread concentration of electro chemicals
over a larger volume of blood flow.

Use zapper for a few minutes and take a few off.

I get the sneezes for no apparent reason, this I am beginning to suspect
is a wog of some sort which maybe has tried to 'invade?' my person and
hence has been dealt with by my regular daily intake. I can't prove that
of course, but then nobody can disprove that suspicion either so I'm
running with it g. By the same token some could say it's hay fever or
asthma or some pollutant in the atmosphere or whatever else which may
promote those sneezing episodes but I'm running with a wog trying to take
hold and the EIS has dealt with it. As I just said though, I can't prove
that is the case, but nobody else can prove it's NOT the case either.

conductivity and not produce such corrosive chemicals. Any salt, acid
or alkaline will work. I was thinking of either vinegar (acetic acid)
or citric acid. I believe that hydrogen will be released at one
electrode and CO2 at the other. The CO2 is probably not a problem, it
will make carbonic acid, but the hydrogen will quickly react with most
metals making a metal hydride. So the choice of electrode material will
be important.

I am looking at the pads on a TENS unit. They appear to have a carbon
conductive layer, and you use some type of gel with it. Carbon would be
a good choice if made like they are in the TENS unit.

Re: CSOT - zapper burns

2012-12-27 Thread Tony Moody
Hi Ode and Marshall,

The medics use a conductive electrode gel with silver/silverchloride . This is
used for
longterm connection called resting electrodes. I used them a lot for the Bob
Beck type units
because they helped to prevent the skin burning which I thought due to a better
skin
connection. The burns always seemed to be at point contacts.

Grist ?

It looks like KY Jelly might make a good electrode gel. See
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC490140/pdf/brheartj00336-0111.pdf

Resistance measurements compared to commercial electrode gels show it to
be acceptable for electrocardiograms.

KY - 2150 ohms
Lubafax - 9750 ohms
Cambridge - 1550 ohms

Cambridge contains salt, which forms chlorine and lye when used with a
zapper. KY and Lubafax don't. Now low resistivity is more important
with a zapper than for use with an EKG or EEG, since they have high
megohm input impedances, but a zapper has a low out impedance.

Of course there is no offence meant, it's just an old word, besides, I hate to

That’s

mist.  I got the portable, which is small, hand-held.  It still needs to be
plugged into an electric outlet.  One day I want to get one that runs on
batteries so that it is TRULY portable, but they are much more expensive than
the electric ones.  So for right now, my electric one is fine.

back, all the doctor's offices are closed because of a snow storm, a phone

He's miserable -- coughing, can't breathe, etc.

So -- we're going to try nebulizing EIS.  Having never done this before, I need
