This youtube video shows it being done with an admix rotosolver,

However, when I checked the price I found one on ebay for $7500. It
appears that a paint mixer from Home Depot would likely also work, and
that is a little less expensive at $1.13,

DMSO is water soluble, you can add as much as you want to.
Personally, I'd not exceed 10%, but some people use the stuff straight up.

Be aware that DMSO generates heat when mixed with water...and skin etc
has water in it.

The silver gel kit is down toward the bottom. It's really nice too, has two

Although, the silver gel I have, and bought online, is only 3 ppm, and it
has Glycerin and Carbonmer in it. What the heck is Carbonmer? And is it
dangerous if it absorbs through the skin?

Gunar, OK, it's just that from what I have read, bacteria can still be
present in gels or proteins as the 'medium' the silver is in forms a barrier
between the silver and the bacteria, which is sort of counter-productive.
Will look further into that sometime though. Neville.

I have tried and tried but that no longer seems to be available...not
in any store I have looked.

One thing that I found helpful is honey.
For years I earned my living as a Housekeeper/Cook.
Lots of Burns come with that job:)...I must have just read about
honey healing burns because when I touched the hot oven rack with the
skin of my arm...it burned badly..and I automatically reached for the
honey and poured it over my arm.
At first I thought I had made a bad decision because the pain became
worse..quite a bit worse.
But in a minute it began to subside and cooled and I never scarred
from a burn that really should have left a doozy.

Healed beautifully. V.

Once was enough, no regrets and a cool time, but never again.

One thing: If you think you can't "create" an entire and completely

otherwise. [It's either that, or I went somewhere else ]
I saw and did some things that I only heard stories about years later,
so what's with that?

How could I know that I'm not 'making up' THIS world? [with everyone

Anyhow, they turned me loose because you can't arrest someone who isn't
there, but they did, which is why I was in jail...not at the scene of the
"crime" to not get arrested.

I learned, don't get busted, it's very confusing to people and they get

Re: CS>CS gel /Honey

2007-05-06 Thread Garnet
Bleach is chlorine which can cause migraine headaches as it ties up O2.
Been there after using it for several days in a row trying to get mold
out of wood paneling in a bathroom. VERY severe migraine, kicking
screaming variety. I had no idea I was sensitive but now I avoid all
sources of chlorine, even filter my shower water when on city water.

The nerve gas in WWII was Chlorine, a neurotoxin. Best to stay away from
bleach IMHO. There are alternatives that are not toxic.

Honey is indeed an ancient healing remedy. I generally reach for the
aloe and DMSO but thanks for reminding me about honey. There are all
kinds of great things in raw honey, hormones, minerals, etc.

Oh and I love Lavender. It is great for wasp and insect stings.

One thing that I found helpful is honey.

For years I earned my living as a Housekeeper/Cook.
Lots of Burns come with that job:)...I must have just read about honey

poured it over my arm.
At first I thought I had made a bad decision because the pain became

Healed beautifully. V.

Why not? I mean with all the poisons in the environment that we are exposed
to today, I dont think it would even be noticed, so go right ahead. Use
cyanide.
On the other hand, or rather reguarding the hand, if you have ever been
close to a grill, hot from cooking, and realize the temp it is heated to,
add grease, you have to have a lot of grease to block a grill, then along
with the fact the residue from the block also holds grease and sticks to
everything, paints an ugly picture. I was looking at
losing many layers of hide from my hand, which may well have meant I would
even be off work for some days, . I also had an
experience when frying chicken at home one time, the grease, bubbling and
very hot, splashed when a piece of chicken i was turning slipped from the
tongs i used to turn them with, this splashed over my entire hand, even the
tender backside, both cases i used bleach immediatly, didnt kill the pain,
but i had NO EVIDENCE of a burn the next day, both cases would have scarred
horribly had i not used bleach. I witnessed what grease burns untended will
do, i saw a woman
come into the emergency room once with severe grease burns, holding her
hand, or the remains of it, in a tub of water, white skin floating all
around it, i still remember hearing her screams in the waiting room, they
scraped her hand to remove the majority of the burn.
Whether it is an exhaust burn from a bike, or a severe sunburn that
leaves you unable to wear clothes for days, this occasionally> or grease spalshes on skin during cooking, or even from
a motor, fire or whatever, bleach will reverse the damage if applied
immediately, and in some cases at all when my daughter
couldnt wear clothes the second day, i drew a bleach bath, she was fine in
a few hours and attended school on monday just fine, no irritations.
And yes, bleach isnt good for us, but how many of us have drank it in
our water for most of our lives? or used it on floors and breathed the
vapor, or washed clothes and had our hands in it? I didnt mean to use it
inwisely, or everyday in these instructions, I would seriously hope if ever
only once or twice, and God forbid you ever had a serious burn on a child,
but if you did, would you prefer the scars? on your babies? Would you like
to go have your hand scraped? Serious accidents call for serious remedies,
sometimes silver cant work fast enough, bleach will! But in extreme burns,
where scarring will occur, bleach will reverse all unripped or torn skin
that was damaged by burn, and you WILL have a total healing within 24
HOURS, what else offers this?
It is your choice Dee, I truly hope you never have a child that has a
scarring burn, but if you ever do, or if you ever have a severe grease
burn, it is your choice, you have every right in the world to endure very
painful burns for days and to have the scars, they are yours, It is your
choice.

Though, honestly, I would seriously advise against the cyanide, its
intended design was to kill.

Lavender is exceptionl for cuts, bruises, infections as well. Actually, its
outstanding.

sol wrote: What else offers this healing for burns?
Straight lavender essential
oil, applied liberally to a burn will do the same thing--no evidence of
burn the next day (or even in a couple hours) and it has the added
benefit of stopping the pain almost immediately. Depending on the
severity of a burn, I've had the same results from lavender oil diluted
in apricot oil. The only time it took a while to stop the pain was when
I branded my thumb on the lid handle of a roaster fresh from a 400
degree oven. In that case it took about 20 -30 min to stop the pain. Had
a tiny bit of tenderness from that one for a few days, and it took a
while for the deep brand line to grow out.
Lavender essential oil does the same trick for bites and bruises.

Re: CS>CS gel

2007-05-06 Thread William Missett
discomfort. I couldn't
believe it then, and I still can't believe it.

In the intervening years, I have suffered several other serious
burns - from grabbing a red-hot exhaust pipe on my home heater, from a
splash of boiling oil, from scalding water. Each time, I bit my lip and put
my hand back into the heat, either over the stove or in steaming hot water.
Each time, the pain quickly disappeared. This mysterious burn remedy has
worked every time.

I have taught this technique to others, those few brave souls
willing to believe me, and they have used it with equal success. A friend
of mine who is an at-home jeweler used it after suffering a nasty burn, and
he now swears by it, and has taught it to other jewelers in Taxco, Mexico.

I have discussed this with hundreds of people, but only one said
she had heard anything like it. She witnessed the incident as a child. She
saw her grandfather, working on the family stove when it exploded in a ball
of flame, thrust his badly burned hand and arm into a pot of water boiling
on top of the stove to take away the pain.

She, like Jonas Barrett, was African-American. Perhaps this is
a clue to the source of this folk medicine remedy.

In the intervening years I've devoted numerous hours thinking
about this incident, and trying to analyze this miraculously improbable burn
remedy. I believe the answer somehow lies in the release of the shock of
the burn. By heating the surrounding flesh to near-burn intensity, the
borderline between the burn and the surrounding flesh is erased, and this
release somehow nullifies the pain. That's my theory, and I'm sticking to
it.

Over the years, I have wanted to present this strange but true
story to the public to seek answers, and to let others know of its
effectiveness. Hopefully, someone can provide the proper answers to this
medical mystery.

Re: CS>CS gel

2007-05-04 Thread Lisa Shepherd
In an emergency, when severe burns have occured, bleach it. Bleach reverses the
entire burn event. I learned this when working as a short order cook, I was
blocking the grill and my hand slipped off the block, quite close
to the front, it slid on the grill from front all the way to the back due to my
momentum, i couldnt stop. When my co-worker saw this, she grabbed my arm and
insisted I follow her to the sink, where she immediately submersed my hand in
straight bleach. It still burned for awhile, quite intensly, but the next day
you could not tell I'd had any kind of burn at all.
In later years, due to this experience, I have used bleach or a mild water
bleach solution on many things. When sunburned, it heals it completely, even
hours after the burn. The one down side I have found, the sunburn does not tan
out after a bleach bath, so if the
person is burned in an attempt to suntan, they wont keep the tan if they bleach
it.
This isnt the best home remedy, however I have never seen it
fail to completely heal all burns entirely, no scaly skin later, no reddness
the next day, nothing, it takes a few hours, but the burns heal completely
everytime. No scarring whatsoever. Im sure in extreme cases or where the burn
has removed skin prior to doing the bleach treatment, there would be some sore
on the surface, or scarring if it were bad enough, but as long as the skin
surface hasnt been compromised, it works everytime.
Another tip, if you do have a burn, no matter what you treat it with,
hemmoroid medicines kill the pain really well, so after a bleaching, dry the
area lightly, and apply something like preperation H, and it fixes the whole
problem. No pain, no scarring, no blisters.
Hope my info has been of help to someone, godspeed. Lisa.

I burned myself by splashing boiling refried beans on my wrist two weeks

Re: CS>CS gel

2007-04-24 Thread Gerard Payne
I've never tried it on sunburns. DMSO is an anti-inflammatory so it ought to
work. I have gotten steam burns and burns from welding and cutting steel and
put DMSO on the burn and it doesn't even blister. It just goes away. After a
few minutes, it doesn't even feel burnt. If I had a burn that was like an
open wound or blistered, I would put CS on it.
Hope this helps,
Gerard

Re: CS>CS gel

2007-04-16 Thread Marshall Dudley
Mixing aloe vera with CS will destabilize the CS and cause it to
aggregate rather quickly due to the high acidity of aloe vera. Adding
sufficient baking soda to bring the ph near 7 will decrease this
destabilizing effect significantly.

Re: CS>CS gel

2007-04-15 Thread Richard
Smitty ,it really depends and is not an exact science. At the
moment we are adding some neem oil or citronella as there are a lot
of mosquitoes at the moment. The aloe needs to be pulverised and then
strained and I add cs at each of these stages so the aloe is fully
immersed and then add the olive oil but not much. Spin them all in
together and there you have it . It will not last forever - and will
need shaking before usage - but we get through it so fast here I end
up making a new batch every week. Experiment for yourself and you
will discover one of the best natural creams available - as long as
you can get used to the slightly "yucky " texture of aloe - best
wishes - Richard p.s astonishing results for burns !

Re: CS>CS gel

2007-04-14 Thread Cinder Ella
I have lots of aloe plants and haven't found a use for them yet. I even put a
little CS water in theplants when I water them. Haven't noticed a difference
yet. This sounds a lot better than buying that gel stuff from the internet, a
lot healthier. Could you please give the measurements of how much of each to
put in? How much aloe, how much CS to one large spoon of olive oil?
Thanks

Re: CS>CS Gel and Warts?

2006-09-30 Thread Sam Mureno

Hi Lea Ann.
Yes I think it would. My mother had two warts, one on her arm and one on her
face near her eye. I treated the one on her arm with CS gel during the day
and at night we soaked a cotton ball with CS and put that on
under a bandage. It took about two weeks and the wart drieded up and fell
off. The one near her eye we used the CS gel. You could see the wart turning
a different color just like the one on her arm did. I think I also used a
small amout of DMSO (if your familiar with this). It helps to take the CS
farther into the skin.
After the medical gestapo got hold of her they tested the wart on her face
for cancer, it tested positive so they cut it out.
Ive also heard that zapping help the body to get rid of the many viruses and
parasites that may cause warts, if your son has alot of them it might be a
parasite problem also. See Hulda Clark book ( A Cure For All Diseases) for
free at this URL. Its a good read. Theirs alot of her stuff I believe in and
theirs some that just to far out their.

Hope this helps you.

Hi Chris, I've not tried making an ointment with CS, but I have tried
making a gel, with and without aloe vera. Its very easy and your CS won't
need to be heated to a high temp ( as it does if your making a cream or
ointment). Here's a recipe. (with thanks to Marshall for the ph bit)

90ml CS
2ml Xanthum Gum
10ml Aloe Vera concentrate (I use 1:10)
a few drops of a preservative, such as grapefruit seed extract.
sodium bicarb
Gently heat the CS till it's lukewarm (this will make the gum melt more
easily) sprinkle the gum and beat vigorously. If you don't want to
introduce air bubbles into your mixture, keep the whisk on the bottom of
the pan. Add the AV concentrate and preservative. (I've found that after
about three weeks the gel develops a mould of some description. This is
about two weeks longer than using just water, so the CS is doing something,
just not for very long.) Bring the mixture back to around 7ph with sodium
bicarb using litmus paper. You can use other thickening agents such as
cellulose gum, roughly twice as much should do it. Give it a try, it's
quick and simple to make. Good Luck! Rod

Re: CS>CS: Gel ingredients?

2004-02-16 Thread Garnet
Just be careful when stripping out the gel. Don't try to get every last
bit so you don't get the yellow stuff (forgot what it is called).

CS will not protect you from the runs as it is a chemical effect not a
microbe.

I still used homegrown Aloe internally, I just got more careful about
how I stripped it out. I bought the very large Aloe plants so that made
it much easier.

Thanks Marshall,
Agar and agar-agar have been on my list of iodine containing food

had no reference for it other than my list of things to avoid, when
possible (iodine containing ingredients, even iodized salt are

Natural agar agar is unflavoured producing a firm, clear jelly and is rich in
iodine and trace minerals and has mildly laxative properties.

Perhaps the trace elements in agar such as iodine provide nutrients for the
cultures. I was unable to find a chemical formulea for agar, just that it was a
polysaccharide complex called lentinan.

I only know of gelatine and carrageenan to make a gel, and can't see that

Two queries prompt me here.

Firstly, I'm wondering how one could make a thicker topical preparation

Re: CS>CS: Gel ingredients?

2004-02-15 Thread Marshall Dudley
I thought the same thing, but when I checked a number of suppliers of agar agar,
I noted that they indicated that this was a good source for iodine.

http://www.vegsoc.org/info/gelling.html
http://www.bulkfoods.com/agar_agar.htm

Natural agar agar is unflavoured producing a firm, clear jelly and is rich in
iodine and trace minerals and has mildly laxative properties.

http://www.bulkfoods.com/agar_agar.htm

Perhaps the trace elements in agar such as iodine provide nutrients for the
cultures. I was unable to find a chemical formulea for agar, just that it was a
polysaccharide complex called lentinan.

Re: CS>CS: Gel ingredients?

2004-02-14 Thread Garnet
Guess I missed the part about iodine allergy. Agar is a purified
product, particularly that sold by scientific supply houses. It is used
as a base media for cell culture. I would be very surprised if there is
any iodine content in this form, as it would skew the results of any
attempt to grow microbes or tissue cultures.

Garnet,
That doesn't help either, sorry. It is iodine I am allergic to, so no
seaweed products or seaweed thickeners at all. However, for immediate
use, I wonder if flaxseed meal would work? or Fenugreek? SlipperyElm? or
maybe guar gum or xanthan gum.
Geez, I hope neither of those are seaweed products so far as I can find
out they are not..
Actually though sloppy, I don't mind a liquid, it probably isn't
worth the trouble to me to make a gel.

I find that the addition of DMSO means that I can do the treatments less
often and get even better results. It is a "potentiator", if you will,
of CS activity.

I looked a bottle of the organic Aloe Gel I used to use. It is by Lily
of the Desert (not Lily of the Valley as I previously stated on this
list).

Carageenan is used as a thickening agent. www.lilyofthedesert.com is
thier website. Perhaps they can answer your questions.

When you strip aloe it is thick but I don't think it will stay thick.

Thanks James,
I guessed that the properties of any CS might change with a gel, this is
why I didn't want to jst add it to, an aloe vera gel for instance.
I have a patient with chronic and very stubborn psoriasis. It extends from
the back of the head, then in various size patches over the back and the back
of the legs to the lateral surface of the lower leg. Over a peroid of many
months the fungal infection/psoriasis that covered most of her toe/fingernails
has been resolved. I say fungal/psoriasis since even after several visits to a
Harley Street dermatologist, a concrete diagnosis was never made.
There has been some success using a seven star needle (trad. acupunture
technique) which has improved since I started making my own CS (with an SG7)
and cleaning the "graze" that results from a heavy 7SN technique.
So, the reason I want to combine CS with a gel is to have the CS in contact
with the skin for 90%+ of the time rather than the hour or so that I see her
for.
Sorry this is a little involved, but I thought that the reason I need a gel
recipe was important.
Many thanks for any help
Rod Stevenson
PS After doing my own tests on my home produced CS, with milk, yeast meat
etc, I now use CS to disinfect surfaces and sterilize all my equipment (other
than needles -which are single use )
You might not know it but this is about as strong a recommendation as I
could ever give.

Studies of CS against bacteria done on plated nutrients do not work as
well as those done in broth.
A jell is a colloid itself. This may change the properties of CS from

You might not know it but this is about as strong a recommendation as I could
ever give.

Studies of CS against bacteria done on plated nutrients do not work as well
as those done in broth.
A jell is a colloid itself. This may change the properties of CS from that
of a liquid preparation.

  Hi List,
Does anyone know of a preprepared gel, that can be combined with CS?
Better still would be a list of ingredients and method to make my (our) own.
  Any ideas?
  TIA

Re: CS>CS/Gel recipe?I saw one remarkable case where silver foil was laid
over the burned area; a face. It seemed miraculous. Fireworks accident. I
can't recall if there was any 3rd degree, but I know there was some 2nd. No
scarring.

Being new to CS I'm not sure if this suggestion has any validity,
but burn victims on occasion are treated with sheets of some
type of material to lay over the burn area I think it might
come pre-wetted with CS and probably something in addition.

Since the area being treated is on the surface this should accomplish
what you are looking for. IMHO

Hi Rod,

Please do not put much weight on my speculation about CS in jells; for that
is all that it is. Ask Marshall and Ivan and others for a better qualified
opinion.

How about giving the person a spray bottle? Spray on the silver, and then at
another time, apply the jell that has the other desirable ingredients? The
area could be quickly saturated with a spray, several times a day.

Adding MSM, according to Brooks Bradley, seems to improve the cell wall
receptivity to substances, but does not have the amazing transport
capabilities of DMSO. Spraying on a mix---about 50/50 by volume of CS and
DMSO probably gives the best penetration possible. The down side is that
the user really reeks. No matter where you put it on, the whole person
stinks.

Good fortune with the problem.

  Thanks James,
I guessed that the properties of any CS might change with a gel, this is
why I didn't want to jst add it to, an aloe vera gel for instance.
I have a patient with chronic and very stubborn psoriasis. It extends from
the back of the head, then in various size patches over the back and the
back of the legs to the lateral surface of the lower leg. Over a peroid of
