You also need to set the flapern mix. Its just above the flap rate. Set the
values to +100 and you should see them work.

I just got a 9303 for an incredible price, and have run into a wall
trying to convert all my gliders over to it. I've followed this post
 as a guide from rcgroups:

 http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=347609

My problem is that I try adjusting the flaps in the flap rates and
camber mix menus, but I don't see any change in the flaps as I move
the various switches for the various flight modes. I'm trying to
program a Berg 4l, berg 7 channel, and a jr700 rx. Is there something
that I'm missing? I've tried to program this like I would my JR 6102,
but this is an entirely different beast.

FYI, I'm trying to program three DLGs, and a 3M Trio, as well as a
 couple of 2Ms.

 Thanks for the help,

 Chris Rose

RE: [RCSE] JR 9303 Flap Programming Question

2008-03-09 Thread Tom Copp
OK to set the Trailing edge in flight modes all you do is switch to the FM
you want and push the little trimmers on the top face of the 9303 the
direction you want the ailerons and flaps to go in that FM. These are the
ones on either side of the JR logo. That's all there is to it. Once you
switch back to Cruse mode the TE will return.

RE: [RCSE] JR 9303

2006-08-14 Thread Hank Schorz
JR transmitters are positive shift. This is not the transmitter module,
but it is in the encoder before the module. You can actually modify the
JR transmitters by adding a phase shifter. I have done this for my
8303's.

MD is mode 2 (the normal way we fly these days).

What is the MD2 Mod?
Is the Synth module Pos or Neg Shift?

RE: [RCSE] JR 9303 sailplane programming

2005-02-20 Thread John Derstine
There are several things in the manual that are not clear, omitted, and
poorly laid out for the way my mind works. The radio is actually simpler
to operate than the manual indicates. They take you through each step of
each entire process for every programming feature and it sounds more
complex than it is. I wrote a how to with an 8 servo wing electric
sailplane, and point out several ways (of many) to accomplish this.
Full trailing edge camber and reflex can be done with simple trim
settings with switches right on top of the radio, and be assigned to a
three position switch.. If you want to have more complex arrangements
you can utilize flight modes.

I have another question:
Is it possible to change the stick mode to trottle/ailerone on left
stick and elevator/rudder on right stick. On Graupner Tx you can
select stick mode by software setting.
Is this feature also availabe on the JR9303! The Manuals don't show it.
Thanks for your help.

Reto,
I don't know, I don't have a 9303. You sould post it to the soaring
exchange. THe MX -22 has the option of changing modes.

It is surprise to learn that the two radios use different method to
maintain memory. I would figure that are the same and just use
different software.

No, it is not. The 930-3 has a non-volatile memory in it. No battery

I have a Graupner/JR MX22 radio, same physical form as the 9303 but
 with different software, I think.

In the instruction book, there is a mention of a Lithium battery
that keep the memory in the tx alive. The instruction said that
lithium battery needs to be replaced very few years or so, there will
be an indication on the screen telling you it needed replacement. BUT
the instruction also mention tx has to be sent to the service
department to have the battery replaced. It did not mention that it
is possible to be done by the user.

The 9X has a lithium battery that is user serviceable. If I were you, I
would open the case and take a look. If it's like the 9X you can easily

The 9303 does not share this with the 9X. It does not have a backup battery
in it.

I just set up my Topaz on a 9303. I decided to use the ACRO template. I put
my spoilers on the throttle channel. Then just go into the travel adjust
menu and adjust the total travel in each direction. I used a free mix to mix
elevator to spoilers (throttle). See page S49 for the travel adjust info.

I plugged the rudder into the aileron channel on the 770 (channel #2).

Took me about 10 minutes total from the time I plugged in the RX.

BTW - the new JR 770 RX is very nice. Very compact
