SM 2.00 / 2.01 mail client drag and drop bug
Does anyone know if the SM 2.00 / 2.01 mail client drag and drop bug has been reported and will be fixed anytime soon? Quite often when an e-mail is dragged from the top right header pane to the folder pane, the drag and drop operational fails. When this occurs, the drag and drop has to be repeated TWICE, i.e. only on the 3rd time will the drag and drop actually work. It appears that when a mail is dragged for the FIRST TIME, there is only a very short period before the drop will fail, so to make it work the first time, the mail has to be quickly dropped into a folder as soon as possible. ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

Well, I've been using SeaMonkey 1.1.X for years. When running the Linux version, displaying to an X Server running on a remote Windows machine across a slow network (SM running on my Linux machine at home, displaying on my Windows workstation at my office) I found a problem similar to what you describe. Sometime, I would be able to get the drag/drop operation to work if I do it quickly enough. However, if I miss the window, the application just hangs, and I have to kill it. I've never noticed this when running at home (SM running on my Linux machine, displaying remotely to the X Server running on my Windows workstation at home) - but then the network between my two home machines is 100MBit.
