automated maintainance

2006-01-30 Thread Goos
Hi tbbeta,

is it possible to let TB do automatic (without doing it
by hand) the maintainance? If not, it might be a fine idea.

Explanation and an example:
TB is running here usually for many weeks continuously.
I confugured my Trash folder to: 'maximum of stored messages
is 25' and 'keep messages in the base for 1 day'. However,
this isn't practised automated, after a few days that Trash
folder contains hundreds of messages.
I've to remember myself to do that maintainance by hand. It
would be great that at a configured moment, the maintainance
would start itself. I myself would set this at midnight, the
change of date.

Before I make it a feature request, I'm asking here if this
is already possible now.

Hello all,

if I mark all messages in a folder as read (Ctrl+M), I get a

There is no folder name visible, just some meta signs (%s)

And BTW: standard setting should be YES. As to be seen on the pic, the
cursor still is over the no button, despite I manually moved the focus
on YES by hitting the arrow key -so both buttons YES and NO are
highlighted the same time, with different shades of blue, however. The

SC Hello tbbeta,

SC Testing duplicates.

I think that another bad thing is happening with these duplicates.
Since these are not true duplicates in the strictest sense, (ie they
are not on the server, just in the local folder) if you delete
one of the messages, manually or by using Delete Duplicates, when you
do a purge it will delete the only message that is on the server and
when it resyncs with the local folder you will have permanently lost
the original messages.

If you can understand my rambling, can anyone confirm?

Hello Charlene,

if I mark all messages in a folder as read (Ctrl+M), I get a
confirmation dialog like the one linked below:

 http://www.xmail.net/charlene/folder_name.gif

There is no folder name visible, just some meta signs (%s)

I had not paid attention but your are right, I confirm same thing here.

And BTW: standard setting should be YES.

Fully agree.

And another BTW. What's the big difference between the No and Cancel
buttons? I think there is no need for the Cancel one.

It is not strictly a test account, as I have some personal info stored

could be duplicated easily by signing up for an account and then using
the new e-mail address to subscribe to tbbeta and tbudl. I would then
be happy to set up your account the same as mine. I would love to

AB entries in Instant address box

2006-01-30 Thread Paul Meathrel
Hi all,

I have a single contact with four email addresses in the AB. This contact only
appears once in the AB. The Add this address to the instant address pop-up
menu option for this contact in the AB is ticked. However when I create an
email and type in the first name of the contact (into To:) only two of the
contacts addresses appear in the drop down, two are missing! Also one of the
addresses appears twice.

E.g. Contact has four addresses [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL
PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED]

When I type the firstname associated with the contact in the To: box, I get the
following options:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

but [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED] are missing!

I hope that this makes sense and one of you excellent people are able once
again to shed some light for me!

I can confirm.

The duplicates problem has gotten worse, not better. Before this
release, I received one duplicate per message. I used to be able to
click on the folder and Ctrl+C which would purge and compress and
clear up the duplicates. Now I am getting multiple copies of the same
message and it is taking a purge and compress for each one to get rid
of the extras - i.e. 1 message and 3 copies needs 3 Ctrl+C.
