Version of The Bat! is Obsolete
Hello Batters, I've installed the free version of Grisoft's AVG . When I tried installing their plug-in - avgbat9us.exe - in the same directory as thebat.exe (C:\program files\the bat\) I get the above message, with the warning that I need at least version 1.6 of the Bat. I am using Christmas 1.62. What gives? TIA Maurice Current version is 1.62 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Problem installing Bat!
Hi Bat! Fans, I am trying to install Bat! at work on an XP Pro workstation with SP1. This is a brand new pc installed about 4 weeks ago. Downloaded the International Pack. When I install, I keep getting the following error message:- The Bat! Is not correctly installed or an old Bat! Version is used. Please install the Bat! Again and run this programme once more. Which of course appears to be nonsense, as stated above, new pc, new installation of XP Pro, etc. Any ideas of what gives? I have looked in the archives but did not seem to be able to find a lead to this. As an aside, can the Bat! be used as a mail client, with Outlook 2002 as the address book? Deleting threads
I've just started using the Bat and am impressed although occasionally I stumble slightly. One of the things I have stumbled on is how to delete a thread. In mailing lists there are often threads that I am not interested in and so I want to delete all the messages in the thread. Even if the thread is collapsed it only deletes the first message in the thread. Can someone help me out? Hello, j Printed some messages today. Then TB stopped printing properly and would only j print a single page that said Invalid HTML! Please forward this message to j developers. Thanks. EAccessViolation Access Violation at address xxx in module j thebat.exe. Read of address yyy. This would occur with any message and j NONE of it was html mail. I've had the same thing happen too, but I wasn't printing anything. I was simply looking at the messages. It would display that screen no matter what email I was looking at, and whether it had an HTML part was moot. It wouldn't display plain-text messages. The only workaround I know is to shut down TB and restart it until it happens again. It would be nice if there was a view as plain text anyway option one could use when it refuses to show the HTML due to an exception. Sometimes I'd like to view a message even if the HTML is faulty and the HTML engine can't handle it. I'm a big boy, I can look at HTML source and see what the (most likely spam) message says. Granted this isn't something most people would use...but I'd rather have a semi-convenient option to view a message than no option at all other than restarting the client or saving the messages to a text file and reading it in a different application. j Closed TB and started it again. Back to normal. j Very weird... I think this was introduced with version 1.62 (maybe 1.60 or 1.61?) Hi Bat! Fans, I have the international pack installed, and selected British English as the language to use. However the dictionary (From the Edit Mail Message window - Spell Checker / Dictionaries) shows the language as American English' (an oxymoron if I have ever heard of one). (no offense intended).
