OK. I'll try again. I've tried to install TB! on each
Windows account without result. But to the same base directory because
TB! is (re)installing automaticly if it's installed now. So it gives
no possibility to change the base mail directory.

I know how WindowBlinds works well. I know its features. But TB!

I don't want that TB! uses windows account for personalize users. I
want TB1 works using its accounts under different windows login.
i.e.
We have Windows98
There is a few win accounts defined: user1, user2, user3.
Under TB! the user accounts are created to.
TB! is installed under user1
And I want that TB! works on every accounts gives possibility to use it
by all users. Now it's impossible because TB! with multiuser/groups
works good only under windows account where TB! was installed (in this
example under user1)

Problem is when the windows is in multiuser mode and specially when
multi-user TB! uses groups. Until each user uses one server/acccount,
the account can be read under every windows login, Just by log in the
the account. But when users use a few accounts, grouped in groups it
stops working. Trying to log into groups from different windows account
than TB! is installed cause no effect. Login window is not disappeared
and TB! is not loaded. Strange is, when I try to log in Administrator
account from such win-account TB! says there is no such account.

I've submited this bug a half year ago. I get response: TB! gives
multiuser env but it is not windows multiuser oriented. It's not
enough for me.

CSAPI works fine only when the mail editor is used 1st time after TB!
ran. Next time the CSAPI otpions are disabled. If I need to use it
again I have to quit TB! and run it again. Problem is known and
reproducible. But it happens only with CSAPI from Office 97. With
Office2000 works correctly.

OK. Now I know what you mean. I generate such situation even on that

Default address book for accounts is defined in Properties menu. So,
it can be done the same for folders. It will not generate any
problems, only will set Address book you want to use at the "fist

I want only, when I click Addressbook button (right to Address field)

Additionally, history in address field combo-box could be contains only

AB for Account and folders

2001-07-09 Thread Michal Kozusznik

Hello

Since lot of forum mailers write about address book, I'll do it too.

Default address book for an account is the nice feature, but I'll be
glad to see default address book for each folder.

Because I've created some thematic folders, strictly assigned with
some people (but no groups), I don't need access to other addresses
by AB or history from this folder anymore.

History feature should depended to default AB which is set.

It's very important what you've wrote. It's exactly what I asked for.
I'll try this. But if I have admin account created under other Win
account, I will not be able to create another accounts because it can
be done with admin account only (and it is available under another
account). But as you say, I'll try to install TB! over existing
installation.

In any way, mail accounts administration under TB! is very confusing
and can screw mind a lot of people. I suggest (for developers) to make
it easier. I mean, if I decide to personalizing accounts by giving the
user-name and pass, these account should be accessible in any time,
from any windows account in easy way.

Thanx all for help. I will notify you about final solution (if I find
that one)

Hmm. Is it enough to install TB! into the same directory from different

If I'll have to install TB! in different places for each windows

You're right. But as client of single user.

How can I use TB! in multiuser mode if:
1. Administrator user cannot log-in from other windows account then
Admin account was installed?

3. Any user logged in its account can receive mails of other users

Re: Administrator and more

2001-04-13 Thread Michal Kozusznik

Heh. I've found one more strange thing.

The pull-down menu of receive button contains all accounts registered
under TB! even if I'm logged-in as an user.
So, I can receive other user mails from servers (I cannot read this).
Due to this, other users will not be able to read this mails from
another places (ie. from home)

With this 3 problem described under this subject, TB! is useless as
multi-user client :(((

Nop. I talked not about this.
I cannot use administrator account on another windows account then the
TB! admin account was created. Doesn't matter what are the accounts
names. In this case my TB! admin account is called just "Admin".
Windows account has different names. But if the TB! admin acc is
created under "name1" Win account, it can't be used under "name2" win
account. TB! says: there is no "Admin" account.
I have only one admin account. I don't know what happens with
more such accounts.

More important is, I can't made working more then one user account
based on the group. TB! doesn't say this account doesn't exist. When I
use wrong password TB! says: "Wrong password". But when I use correct
pass, TB! going to hang or nothing happens (Cancel button on password
requester usually works)

It happens under Windows 98 with IE5.5 (if it does matter)

No. I suppose there was some misunderstanding.
My server supports leave on server feature well.
I meant, If I use that option, all messages will be leaving on the

It's takes to much time.

So, I suggest to add sub-option for "Receive header only..." feature:
It's could be a check-mark: "Delete from the server". It alows me (us)

Maybe at this time. But maybe TB! could have some options for do that?
Example1: TB! splits large files in siple way and sends multiple
mails. simple way Means they could be joined by simply binary joining
(CAT). TB! could have an option for joining. The lenht of files should
be definable in prefs, ie: ALL attachs larger then bytes will be
splits into bytes pieces.

Example2: TB! gives possibility to send the same mail many times.
After choose this option, I could attach the 1st file, send it, but
window will not close. It still the same with destination address and
body text but without attach. Now, I could attach 2nd file and send
it. Etc.

Maybe some other suggestions?

If folders under one account, You can just define the templates for

replaced but these defined for account.
Maybe faster way to delete folders templates is delete Account.flx

Heh, I wanna not this solution. I just redirected mails from Account_2
to _1 because of slow connection from home (dial-up). Account_1 is
placed into another net which has faster connection using dial-up.
Now, I stay with old e-mail address but use another account for mail

Specific filtering

2001-01-09 Thread Michal Kozusznik

Hello

I want to receive mails from Account_1 and move all these messages
to Account_2 folder. Is it possible to automatically use for these
messages filters defined for Account_2 ?

I've tried to define Account_1 filter for moving all messages into
incoming folder of Account_2 with "Continue processing with other
filters" checkmark set. Messages was only moved into incoming folder
but filters defined for this folder was not applied.

Restore bug?

2001-01-08 Thread Michal Kozusznik

Hello

A few minutes ago I've restored system from scratch and install TB!
again. I've used backup and restore options. After restore and
deleting first e-mail, error requester appeared.
It says: "error in database. TB! will correct this problem." Or
something similar. After "OK" hit I noticed no more problems.
Any one has some similar experiences?

And once-more: Is it possible to restore TB! data without making a
first account (by TB! wizard)???

Hmm. That's no so good. I hate soft which stores all unnecessary
stuff into registry. Such files like XLAT tables could be stored into

So, how to get info, which version has/had bad data into XLAT tables?
After reinstaling system I installed Hellowin Edition then overwrited
by Christmass Edition. So, some of this ver. has incorect tables.

I can send correct one (for ISO 8859-2) if needed

incorect XLAT tables

2001-01-07 Thread Michal Kozusznik

Hello

I've noticed incorect XLAT tables for Central European encoding (ISO
8859-2) in TB! v1.48. I replaced these with old tables (some time
ago I've saved it for somebody) and now everything is OK.

Additional question: how TB! updates it self? Do every time
overwrites all files (XLAT tables)? Maybe some older version had
bad tables and it was not replaced?

Bug report

Hello

I've found the bug (don't know it's noticed before)

If there is no CSAPI in the system installed and template contains a
macro enabling some CSAPI language, the windows connected with the
template will not appear. Ie. if the CSAPI is defined in Reply
template for the folder, any trying for reply from this foler is not
possible. The same for NewMessage, Reply to all, Forward etc.

Additionaly, after such operation, closing TB! is not possible,
too. A requester with "Access violation at adress 005244C8. Read of
  address " appears.

Of course Navidad using Outlook to multiplying it self. I suggest to

Yep. I found this setting in properties. Now it's OK. But still
strange. I've checked this.
If in Reply-to setting I had the same address as my account, TB! shows
both fields (From: and Reply-to:) filled with the same address. But
sending such mail was arrived without Reply-to field (or TB! remove
second one from info).
If I cleared Reply-to setting and tried to write post, Reply-to field
was empty. Now, when I wrote the same address as my account into
as Reply-to and send, The mail come with both fields with the same
address.

BTW: Is there possibility to view source of mail using TB!? Message
header field sometimes gives not enough information.

Hello,

Is it possible to set Reply-to field the same as From field ??? It

I've checked, TB! sets Reply-to field if this one and From field have

Hmm. As you remember any subscription is re-posted by list-server.
This mail could be including the rules and expansions of shorts. It
could be done, if new message will no including one of defined prefix

Why all messages distributed by mailing list scalos@egroups are

Yes. I do.
Sometimes when I shoose dial, modem is swiching on and after dialing
I still hear continuos sound. I need redial but wan't wait for
automatic redial.

I think it doesn't. Any transfer requester disappears. Then I must
use "Download new mail" button again.

dialing ideas

2000-10-15 Thread Michal Kozusznik

Hello,
Question to TB! developers:
Is it possible to add the button called REDIAL to dial-up requester?
It will makes easier redialing opposite to disconnecting and choosing
dial again.

And once more. If connection to mail-server failed in time of receiving
message, TB! doesn't notify an user about it. Strange is, Windows
plays sound but no requester appears. Of course TB! is disconnecting
from server.

Templates Inheriting

2000-10-10 Thread Michal Kozusznik

Hello,

What about this feature? Is there some similar?
I mean, when I create new subfolder, I want to have a choice to
automaticly coping the templates from parent folder into new one. The
same, when I create default account templates and need to have the same
defined into specific folders of this account.

The best will be, when changing templates in parents, casing changes in
child ones.

Address autoexpansion

Hello,
I've noticed troubles with e-mail address auto-expansion feature.
It doesn't work if the name field in address book contains one word or
words are not divided by space (ie. by dot).
Even, if there are two words (1st and last name), sometimes TB! doesn't
do full expand. SOmetimes a few last letters is missed.
What's wrong?

Filtering on server side

Hello again,
Is the possibility to filter e-mails before receive into the BAT?

And second question is about address book. Is it possible to add

choose it from pop-up menu manually?

Questions and ideas

2000-10-04 Thread Michal Kozusznik

Hello,
Anyone could give me a way for using Reply-TO field?
I need an option for quick sign this field or remove it from prepared
post.
More... strange is, If I turn on the reply-to view, it shows my
e-mail, but sent mail doesn't contain this field. It's good, but why ?
I want to control this option.

BTW: I see, some this list users, mails using Reply-to field (how they it
do?). I think it's wrong way, because, mail client should pick-up reply-to
field as default reply address.

Next: Animated icon option works only with main window. Others, like
delivery window, has always animated icon

Next one: I've had a troubles with address book import option. I've
exported one from Outlook Express as comma-separated text and tried
import as the same. Without success. Amazing is, I did it using"
Address List plain text" import option.

Now, an idea.
What do you think about quick address book (like Outlook Express 5
have)? It would be great extension. Specially if it will contains a
photo field. I think, the photo option is useless, if I can't see the
face in time of mail writing.

That's all (maybe ;). Ahh, When The bat will support news list?

CSAPI spell checker

Hello

I've found this great mailer. I think it has almost features, the
mailer client should have.
But... I have troubles with CSAPI based spell-checker.
Sometimes it is active and sometimes not. Most time is inactive.
I have no point when it's switching off and why. It's not right, I'm
sure.
It happens with all CSAPI languages I choose. SSCE works fine.
