TODAY I LAID PAM TO REST THE LOVE OF MY LIFE. I WAS JUST REREADING ALL THE WONDERFUL E-MAILS THAT WERE SENT. I FOUND SOME COMFORT IN TALKING TO DR. SHAMES (RETIRED). HE TOOK CARE OF PAM SINCE WE WERE BASICALLY KIDS. DR. SHAMES WAS AT THE WAKE AND TALKED TO MY SON SEAN. HE WAS A REAL HELP. HE INFORMED US WE COULD HAVE LOST HER SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST. THE WAKE WAS BEAUTIFUL BETTER THAN WE COULD HAVE HOPED FOR. MANY BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS AND PLANTS-MANY! ALOT OF FAMILY CAME, MORE THAN I THOUGHT. MANY PEOPLE I WORKED WITH CAME. MY COUSIN A DEACON IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH SAID THE SERVICE (NOT A MASS) AND THEN SPOKE OF HER LOVE FOR TMIC AND HER MANY FRIENDS THERE. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. HE SPOKE OF MY SON AND MYSELF. THEN 1-OF HER SISTERS (RHONDA) SPOKE RHONDA WAS BORN AT 1-1/2 LBS . PAM TOLD HER WHEN SHE WAS YOUNG SHE WAS PUT IN A SHOE BOX BECAUSE SHE WAS SO SMALL. THEY HAD TO CUT CLOTH TO DIAPER HER. SHE WAS REAL FUNNY. WE ALL LAUGHED . SHE WAS VERY GOOD AND I WAS SURPRISED BY MANY THINGS SHE REMEMBERED. SHE SAID SHE CALLED PAM AND SAID WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO MY SHOE BOX, DID THEY THROW IT AWAY AND SHE GOT PAM TO LAUGH ON THE PHONE . OH WE COULD HARDLY SEE RHONDA BEHIND THE PODIUM BECAUSE SHE IS SO SHORT, JUST THE TOP OF HER HEAD. SHE ASK CAN YOU SEE ME. LOL HOWEVER YOU GET THE PICTURE. THEN CAREY HER BROTHER THE PREACHER SPOKE AND READ PASSAGES FROM THE BIBLE. HE TOO SPOKE NICELEY OF SEAN AND PAM AND ME. HE SPOKE STRONGLY OF JESUS. IT WAS WONDERFUL. I PRAYED THIS MORNING FOR THE STRENGTH NOT TO EMBARRASE HER AND FALL DOWN CRYING, ETC. I WAS WORRIED MAYBE I SAY OR DO SOMETHING OVER THE EDGE. WHEN SAW HER I CRIED AND TOUCHED HER AND PRAYED. I WAS TOTALLY TOGETHER AND IN CONTROL. I SURPRISED MYSELF AND MY SON WAS GREAT ALSO. I SAID THIS IS YOUR BODY BUT I KNOW YOUR SPIRIT WILL BE HOME WITH ME. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I FELT LIKE THAT AT A WAKE, MOTHER FATHER ETC. WE HAD HER BROTHERS AND SISTERS OVER. PLENTY OF RED BEANS AND RICE, FRIED CHICKEN, ETC. I REALLY COULD NOT EAT BUT 1-PC. CHICKEN.. MOST WILL BE FLYING BACK SOON OR DRIVING HOME. THE FUNNY THING IS AS GOOD AS I FELT AND CONTROLLED MYSELF TODAY, BEING HOME TONIGHT HAS BEEN COMPLETLY DIFFERENT. GOD AND PAM REALLY ANSWERED MY PRAYERS TODAY THRU THIS ORDEAL. I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW HOW THINGS WENT. SHE IS IN HIS GLORY NOW AND IN MY HEART ALWAYS. [TMIC] Pam and some pictures
Hi everyone, I was just sitting here today again thinking about what a sad day it was since Pam is no longer with us...and I was looking at her member page on our TM Network site. You know...when the TM Network site was first conceived, we requested that members add pictures to their profile page...pictures of anything...your family, your dog...basically anything. The reason that we requested that, is because it makes it feel so much more like one big TM family. Pam was thrilled with this idea and added a good bunch of pictures to her page and now because of that we have a immortal memorial of Pam and some of her family. I can,t stop crying!!! This has met so much to me. I do not think the friends of Pam Montz will ever know how much. I am a very simple man who never asked for much. My whole life has been Pam. I waited on her as much as i could and now this is gone,taken from me. Pam do you need a bottle water or some crushed ice and coke. You want me to brink you your pill box. What lean cuzine do you want for me to warn for you. I want to walmart and found this great buy on a nightgown . The dollar store guess what i found for you. Some nice coke glasses to enjoy your beverage of the day.It's Saturday Pam you want your shrimp and lobster sauce from the local Chinese restaurant? PAM YOU MUST READ YOUR FORTUNE COOKIE. .i feel so bad i let her down. She did not get the help she needed at the hospital as usual.We all thought Pam going into the hospital was a routine, she lose the strength in her legs and within 2 weeks be back up walking ok and doing home therapy.Yes she always lived in pain some days better than others. She was smart and knew her meds well. The wrong doctors were on call not her usual. I think, HELL I do not know what to think anymore I hashed it out over and over. Thank all of you!! Montz We all have received the same short message about Pam. I spoke with her daily as she had recently got a free long distance telephone set up. It was fun talking as long as we wanted to. Anyway, she had been complaining about pain in her left shoulder that continued down her arm. Nothing she did for it helped. She had fallen in the house and landed on her shoulder and that''s what I understand what prompted her to go to the hospital. Her doctor wanted her to go but Pam didn't want to. Obviously, she ended up taking her Dr's advice. Once she left for the hospital, I never heard from her again and I thought everything was hunky-dory until I received the short email from Dan regarding Pam passing away. I don't have the heart to call Dan and ask him for the details. I guess Linda spoke with Dan who told her that Pam had blood thinner than water or something like that. It was Linda's thought, and Mine as well, that Pam must have had a blood clot that went right to either her heart or to her brain. At any rate, she passed quickly and without pain. That is the most that any of us can hope for. Pam will be sadly missed by many of us and may we do good works in Pam's name and memory for the rest of our lives. I too am stunned.there really are no words. A beautiful person, who was ready for fight for each one of us.. But her life has not ended merely changed. She is closer to us now than she's ever been in the gentle breeze, just around the corner at the edge of the rainbow. She is living the life now that she always believed in.Can you just imagine the joy she is experiencing... she loved much and she will rejoice MUCH... it is her loved ones and here dearest friends that need our support... Dear Dan, Thank you for sharing Pam with us. She was a sharer. I remember her organizing us to write to Oprah and what hope and affirmation I derived from correspondence with her. She demonstrated doing and being, like the old song pick yourself up, brush yourself off, and start all over again I am grateful for her presence and her example. Montz We all have received the same short message about Pam. I spoke with her daily as she had recently got a free long distance telephone set up. It was fun talking as long as we wanted to. Anyway, she had been complaining about pain in her left shoulder that continued down her arm. Nothing she did for it helped. She had fallen in the house and landed on her shoulder and that''s what I understand what prompted her to go to the hospital. Her doctor wanted her to go but Pam didn't want to. Obviously, she ended up taking her Dr's advice. Once she left for the hospital, I never heard from her again and I thought everything was hunky-dory until I received the short email from Dan regarding Pam passing away. I don't have the heart to call Dan and ask him for the details. I guess Linda spoke with Dan who told her that Pam had blood thinner than water or something like that. It was Linda's thought, and Mine as well, that Pam must have had a blood clot that went right to either her heart or to her brain. At any rate, she passed quickly and without pain. That is the most that any of us can hope for. Pam will be sadly missed by many of us and may we do good works in Pam's name and memory for the rest of our lives. I also was shocked to read about Pam. We had been responding to each other's emails frequently lately. She was such a neat person and had been through so much.She sent me a picture of she and her family - she was so pretty. She had a clot in her spine a while back and I wonder, too, if that was the cause - another clot. She will be badly missed and well remembered. I called to check on Jude today and spoke with her husband. He said Pam had called earlier and is doing okay, they have the generators going (she did not evacuate). As for Jude, she has shown small improvement but still has a small amount of bacteria in her lungs. I did get a nod when he told her it was me and that made my day! I just spoke with her, and she asked me to let the list know, that she has experienced an exacerbation that has affected both legs. She is in good spirits, and will be having a meeting with her physicians tomorrow. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Grace
