so you may try:
special.value.data = global : _COOKIE | lastvisited_1
the last attempt would be to use a cObject. This can be used everywhere
to insert a complex object.

[TYPO3-english] realurl instead of cooluri does not work
I have to upgrade an old 4.5 to 7.6 and so cooluri is not ready for 7.6
I should use realurl.
but all the old urls should stay the same!
but there is a strange configuration where cooluri skipped the last
path-segment of the news-detail page. And I cant get it to work in
realurl. the configuration of pages is a little bit akward:
I use realurl 2.0.10

the news are shown on page 2 as list
the detail page is 15.
the former urls for single news were like
/aktuelles/(news-title)-(news-uid)
so the page 5 is just a shortcut I can not implement the detail view on
that page.
as realurl can not skip the last pathsegment I configured some overrides:
5 : Speaking URL path segment: /akt
15 : Speaking URL path segment: /aktuelles
[x] override the whole path
134: Speaking URL path segment: /aktuelles/news

67 : Speaking URL path segment: /aktuelles/archive

now (realurlconf.php at the end) the urls (link to page 15, with
news-uid) are generated like before, but on click the page to display is

I tried several ways in the Fluid Template (like
data.image.originalResource.title, with and without "data" and/or
"originalResource"). And I found absolutely no way to set respective
variables in the TypoScript (like imageTitle or imagePath.title or
whatever)
you already have the imagePath. in the same way you could access the
other data. but not so easy in the fluid but in typoscript.
you might change the renderObj. if you want to do the rendering of one
image with fluid you might chnage the renderObj to FLUID_TEMPLATE and
then you can access all data of one image in that template.

I don't find ways to use it as as our main CMS for our customers with success, because my main web consultant don't likes Typo3 too much. Not so easy as Joomla/Wordpress, High learning curve, more time demanded to build a site, templating (we tried to use TV with Artisteer without success in the past), more extensions possiblities with Joomla or Drupal, no woocommerce*, etc , and so on. To clarify, right now we work with Themler, a tool thath can give us the HTML needed for the template. Last years, we were working with Wordpres Joomla and Drupal, but mainly Joomla. The problem is I'm tired of vulnerabilities and I'm trying again to impose again Typo3 as our main CMS, for this reason, I ask for advice on how to "sell" to our main web consultant that Typo3 is the best option against "the 3 others" to build the corporate websites of our customers, links or tutorials to show thath templating is not a nightmare, and so on... I think without an integrator which has a good knowledge about TYPO3 it will stay hard. But on the other hand: every knowlege gathered with TYPO3 will bring you to a stable and secure CMS :) the days of TV are gone. for directories you need these settings but for files this setting is

if you use a shell with ls-coloring you always wonder about all that
eye-catching (-hurting?) colors.
therefore I normaly use:
find . -type d -exec chmod 775 "{}" \;
find . -type f -exec chmod 664 "{}" \;
which changes the directories and files to their specific permissions.
(you may replace the '.' (first parameter) with an appropiate path to
your webroot if you execute it from somewhere else)

As I wrote I am looking for a way to add AMP version for an existing, large website, and to be honest I'm surprised that the amp-image issue hasn't surfaced yet. I think as the concept of responsive websites and the usage of images in multiple sizes needs a complete different approach not much converting is done but a new relaunch which uses the new features. What might be the problem here? version like 'typo3_src-6.2.17'. neither for FE nor for BE or INSTALL
TOOL. those pathes should be:
http://domain/ ... (+simulated FE-pathes)
http://domain//typo3/ (BE)
http://domain//typo3/install/ (INSTALL TOOL)
don't store (/bookmark) other pathes

I did use the web server. I took a screen cap of how it looks like in my

you need to know the history:
first this was a newsgroup, then the newsgroup (NG) was synchronized
with a mailinglist (ML), years later there was a forum attached (which
was feature reduced to match the restrictions of newsgroup and mailinglist)
hence the proposal: store screenshots anywhere and post a link (because
of spammers you are only allowed to post links after your third posting,

Sorry, which php packages? Yes I installed cURL with the same user, and
yes Internet access is available.

The front end on both sites are still working (I have two independent sites sharing the same source folder, and both sites have the same problem with not being able to log in to the back end. And so it worked with older versions of fluidcontent, after one update the CEs were not rendered correct any more: since that version the flexform data needs to have the exact datastructure then the definition, which was not true due to the changes of the definition over time. that was the end I could update the flux-extension. I needed to write an updatewizard analyzing the data and definitions and correct them. As I got no help it was a hard way to learn that it was easy to do (you just need to know that you can read the xml into an array, modify the array and TYPO3 itself will automatically convert the array in XML) on the other hand I noticed a big loss of qualitity in the documentations: a lot of attributes were just mentioned as 'attributname="foo"'. no examples as in the first documentations. and then the viewhelpers get renamed every now and then: I need to update all my templates for further usage of the excelent(!) viewhelpers in ext:vhs. And so I only had to manage only one big project it was a lot of work. I don't know the workload for someone having a lot of projects. with the new FCE (Fluid-Content-Elements) I see no futher need for ext:fluidcontent. Have a look at ext:mask, and wait for an (F)CE-Builder like the kickstarter. the default preview includes headline and text, but also I use the field

previously I used the field 'image' (like in the old textpic CE from
CSC) and there was a preview of the images by default.
the default preview for CEs unknown to the core indeed only renders
field image and does not render entries for media or assets. I created a
forge-ticket https://forge.typo3.org/issues/72079, which was rejected
with a note to the existing possibilities to do an own preview.
anyone who can help to analyze the errors or give me a hand for a
working full preview?

I found multiple examples how to build (and preview) own CEs but all
work in differnt kinds and with different syntax (which evolves from 4.3
to 7.6)

The other way for own previews I found was in page.TSconfig:

but that did not work either for my own CEs (just for CEs from FSC)
the default preview includes headline and text, but also I use the field
'assets' for images/videos (like in the text CEs from FSC) there
is no preview of the images, which is very inconvenient for editors.
previously I used the field 'image' (like in the old textpic CE from
CSC) and there was a preview of the images by default.
anyone who can help to analyze the errors or give me a hand for a
working full preview?

[TYPO3-english] preview for own FCEs?
I already asked in typo3.slack#cig-ext-frontend, but got no answer. I created some own FCE. my first approach was based on an old data structure and I stored images in the field `image`, now I want it more like 7 and changed the field for images to `assets`. All works well - aside the BE-preview (page-module) of the CEs has lost the preview image. What is needed to show the preview image again? Or are there any better approaches? that problems is old. and no solution has been found yet. it is not only about the field sys_language_uid in the (tt_content)records. but all translated records contain fields about translation-parents, these relations would go wired, as it is expected that the parent always has sys_language_uid = 0. if you write a script (you can't solve it with pure SQL) you may read in a pair of records (default-lang and translation and swap the content of all fields except the language-parent relation (be aware: there also is a field for diffs which gets broken) then write these records back. depending on your records and datastructure that might enough. but if you have files (images) in your records (text with image): with FAL the relation got exported to sys_file_references (which has no sys_language_uid) and you need to correct those relation depending on the uids of the original (tt_content) records. as far as all is about nice urls, you may persuade realurl to have the translation without language path segment and use a fixed pathsegment for the default language! The URL that gets generated by the AJAX call is this:

The page is empty and without source code. AJAX tells me that the call
was succssful, with a status of 202, and returns an empty string instead
of what's in my controller.
When I call this generated URL without the "type", I get a page with the
data from this (and the other) plugins. Is it because of the page, since
it has more than one plugin on it?
It seems like the controller isn't even being called by AJAX. I'm
working with TYPO3 7.4, or else I would use devlog to tell me if the
controller ever even gets entered.
Does anyone have an idea where I could start debugging this? In PHP log
there are NO errors and no warnings when this page is called.

What would be the steps to take if downgrade is needed? Backup the LocalConfiguration.php and PackageStates.php? IMHO the downgradablity has been one of top features in TYPO3. It's sad if it's lost - specially now that there are such a wide range of versions around and very much compatiblity issues. as always said: save your data before every version change. you need the saved files in the state just before you upgraded. Thank you in advance. these links (should) depend on the content which is available. in general you have a default-language (which you can define by yourself) identified by id 0, then you add further languages which get incrementing ids. I just stumbled apon an error in the bootstrap package, where some values were missing in the initial data: the language iso-codes were not assigned to the language records. maybe your error is based upon that. otherwise: you can configure fallback routes for languages requested, not all languages need to fall back to default if no content is available. you even can configure that no fallback is possible at all: untranslated pages are not accessible. have a look in the BE and make sure you have content in the desired languages: have a page-translation and also translate the content. the behaviour you described for the language menu at first sight sounds like a misconfiguration where the languages are switched. The most obvious idea is to move this code to a partial, but then I need
somehow deal with unique contents of each field, which will result
either in invention of too much variables and lot of if-else in Fluid
template, or in creating a partial for each field, that has some
differences, or even in combination of these both. This seems kinda
dirty way for me.
It would be nice to have a possibility to define a layout for a section
or make it possible to render a template section from a partial.
Something, like this:
Partials/Field.html:

And then in template call it like this:
Templates/RegistrationForm.html

So, the question, how do you code your forms without field's layout
copy-paste?
1. you can have sections in every fluid-template file, not only partials
2. you can have multiple sections in one fluid-template file
3. you can call each section within a partial individually
4. you have parameters in the section call
consider sections as functions in a programming language: you have
parameter to individualize the output of the function

so your fieldname will be one parameter and each indiviualization will
be another parameter, your fieldtype propably will match the section name.
you might consider this configuration:

individualization there will be more and more parameters or possible
values of parameters, like isStaticInfoZone: 1,

that is a question what you can put into one parameter.
if you have a HTML-block before each input-tag you may render it inside
the input-section or render it outside (individually) and drop the
complete HTML into the input section. you also may provide individual

I might change it a little bit:
call the section directly

so the calls will get a little bit slimmer
So, for each field I either create a special section in partial or add
some parameter. But I still don't like this solution, because it forces
me to hold specific form adjustments not inside the form template
itself, but in partial (or other partials).
In other words: if I want to reuse same partial for other forms with
same field layout but their specific adjustments, I'll have to either
invent more parameters to pass to Field partial or create more sections.
And these specific parameters or sections will be used only once.
for all output you have to define some HTML, and so you may use it only
once it has to be defined. you just can consider where you want that
unique definition: in your main-template or in a section inside a partial.
the whole art about is to identify the common parts and the individual
parts and decide what all those individual parts have in common. :)

after you disabled the automatic generation (it might destroy your

pages break and show 404 error.
