Hi! With the possible exception of some work for The Fridge, I will pull out of all ubuntu-related artwork! I'm worried about the move of dumping brown for Karmic and have been less and less satisfied with the distribution. I'm preparing to join the Fedora artwork community instead, now that it seems save to say they will not make another mistake like the artwork for 7, which was too imaginative and hence distracting from the cold, hard work we all should be doing. (see http://pthree.org/2009/02/05/ubuntu-vs-fedora-artwork/) Sadly they have an elitist approach and don't just let everyone in before submitting artwork meeting some quality level, but I'm confident I can make it and look past this silly step. Too bad I didn't finish my wallpaper collection, but I think I can turn them all blue for Fedora! I will miss the short and to-the-point, heart-felt comments we sometimes got to enjoy here, but I have to move on. Africa is a colourfull country like every country is. :) Orange Icons fits well with white, blue, yellow , brown and dark-tones. Fedora is making almost all in blue-tones. But the Linux-User would appreciate more a Linux- Distributor who cover all colour-palettes, so the Themes haves diferent colours, too. And with the most Themes the brown-tones don't fit in the easy way. I like the Ubuntu-Wallpapers-Artwork, but I never use it ... maybe it's because I don't like the colour brown as background. Hello All, I am using Ubuntu Hardy on a Toshiba A135 laptop. I have installed Compiz on it and am using Emerald window decorator, Compiz is the window manager. However, I am unable to set it to start by default and therefore I have to manually start it every time there is a reboot. How do I make this my default and persistent setting? I have read that ext4 has zero tolerance for powerouts and much greater chance of it being corrupted in such circumstances, so it is out of question for people like me. Speed is also required. Which FS do you use presently? I have used JFS once and didn't find it so tempting to stick forever. Apart from JFS, ext3 and reiserfs are the two others which I have used. Reiserfs: Extremely fast, the fastest I have ever seen, just that there are lots of criticisms about its data corruption. It is said that once the filesystem becomes corrupt and internal tree is unstable, then trying to improve it ever damages it furthur. Well, I havn't come across such a situation. Reiserfs also faces some criticism that due to some delayed write phenomenon, data corruption occours. i don't know much about the exact technical terminology relating to it. As of now, I wont shift to any other filesystem. I could never have thought that deleting a file of size 650MB can take only 2-3 secs. When it comes to data corruption, I never faced it till now. Je travaille pour une centrale syndicale et je dirais simplement que l'obstacle majeur à un changement de paradigme au niveau informatique est l'utilisateur. Ben beau tenir de grands discours sur les principes nobles du logiciel libre, sans oublier les économies potentielles, j'ai du admettre que même un socialiste pro bien-commun a de la difficulté à saisir les enjeux et se fout completement de ca. Pour la majorité des salariés changer de logiciel est un irritant majeur et un boulet qui affecte la description de tâche, bref qui dérange le confort et la certitude. J'aimerais croire que fondamentalement l'être humain aime le changement, l'innovation et le dynamisme, mais je dois accepter que je me trompe. Je ne me décourage pas de faire avancer ce principe, mais il y a un sacré chemin à faire. Je travaille en informatique, je dois admettre que mon appréciation du logiciel libre n'a rien à voir avec celui de l'utilisateur moyen. Exemple, je tente par tous les moyens possibles de faire passer mes proches au minimum à open office. Résultat? 50% d'échec. Pourquoi? Parce-que pour une majorité de gens, sauver un document en .odf veut dire envoyer un document que personne ne va pouvoir lire avec Microsoft Office, le logiciel le plus répandu. Tout ce qu'ils savent, c'est que ce que le support technique va leur couter s'ils utilisent des logiciels libres, sans compter les frais associé à l'éducation du personnel. Si je me souvient bien, chez Savoir-Faire Linux justement, c'est au alentour de 1200$ pour un cour de 3 jours, genre introduction à Linux... Alors y peuvent bien parler et trainer en cours qui y voudront, ils ne sont pas les mieux placé pour véhiculer les valeurs du libre. Et là c'est plàte mais au Québéc beaucoup on tendance à être chialeux et à accepter difficilement le changement. C'est plus facile d'agir maintenant et de justifier d'avoir commit une erreur par la suite que d'avoir à expliquer que sa leur tente tout simplement pas d'avoir à apprendre à utiliser un nouveau logiciel. Sa toujours fonctionné comme ça icitte et je vois pas pourquoi sa étonne encore le monde. I have started to notice that the windows Firefox version 3.0.7 crashes every now and then. I've been looking at threads on the Ubuntu forums where people go as far as to say that Firefox is as much as twice as fast on Windows XP. Surely someone inside Canonical will compile Firefox using the same compiling technique as used with Windows if that is what's causing the problem. Otherwise how come that a FOSS browser is slower on the most open platform OS when the majority of its users on said platform are developers? I have an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU (2MB Cache) T5750 @ 2.00GHz along with 2GB of RAM (over half of which isn't being used). This doesn't seem to be a question of insufficient hardware to me. I'm finding more and more files that have duplicates - presumably backup files, as they have a tilde in the file name. For example, index.html and index.htm~ They don't show in Nautilus, but they do show in dialogue boxes such as open file, and in programs such as Filezilla. I'm running 8.10, I've been looking at both OS and program preferences, but I can't solve this. It only seems to have started recently, but it is a pain especially if I want to select a block of files. Any advice welcome - thanks! Dianne, Those are backup files. To get to them in Nautilus, browse to the folder they're in (for example /home/Dianne/Documents/ ) and press Ctrl + H. This shows hidden files and folders. From there, you can just delete the files,then press ctrl + H again to hide hidden files and folders. If you don't hide them again, you'll find a lot of extra (configuration) folders in your Home directory. Thanks, James. I got some of the programs reinstalled, and my sound was okay after all. And thankfully my screen res/nvidia drivers all seem to be behaving themselves tonight. I just hope that newbies to Linux do not experience this kind of problem as it can be very offputting. Of course I experienced a lot of bad things with Windows in the past, which is what drove me to Linux in the first place. I just hope that Ubuntu will behave itself now. installing 8.04 on sata drives prob
Hi Guys I'm having probs installing ubuntu (32 bit) on a friends pc. Have loaned one of mine till I sort this out. Both live and alternate cds pass the integrity check yet both throw up read errors during the install phase. Both HDD and DVD drive are sata and bios shows them both on the same ide interface (#3) with the HDD as master and the DVD as slave. The processor is a 2.4g P4 celeron. Do I need to set specific parameters for the sata drives in BIOS maybe? The mobo is an ASUS PSGC-MX if that also helps. I'm not having much luck via google but suspect the prob to be related to both drives being sata and/or settings for the drives. Any ideas I can try? Check that the BIOS setting is AHCI on the SATA drives. It sounds like it's in ATA emulation mode. Ubuntu Netbook Remix and Maximus
Hi all. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a settings file (for e.g.) that will tell Maximus (part of the Ubuntu Netbook remix package) not to maximise certain applications? Some applications, such as VLC, don't play too well with Maximus and altering a particular setting or adding entries into a central database would be much easier than adjusting the application's window every time it's loaded. Errors in Ubuntu debian-installer translations
Hi,
I received a report today of a mistake in the German translation of
debian-installer, which prompted me to check for other similar errors.
When translating the installer, it is very important to make sure that
text such as ${WORD} is preserved *exactly*. (Of course, you may
rearrange the text around it, but the installer looks for ${...} when
substituting in variables and it's very important that that text is
still there, with exactly the same variable name inside ${...}, or else

I used a script written by the upstream d-i translation coordinators to
check for this, and to my dismay there are a very large number of
suspicious translations. Some of these may be inherited from mistakes

Hi everyone, on my laptop, dual core intel 64 bits, ATI radeom HD 3470 i'm working fine with hardy studio 8.04 64bits. As I was having too an intrepid 32 bits to test kdenlive 0.7, I've upgraded tonight to jaunty beta. so now, under generic kernel, ATI flgrx is ok, audio is ok, but my internal soundcard is not enough good to test jackd/ardour I've install jaunty rt kernel, install is ok, i've restarted on rt jaunty kernel, 2.6.28-3-rt, the boot is ok, and when it starts X to display gdm, the image gone bad, nothing is available. I've tried to go to terminal with a CTRL + ALT + F2, and the screen gone bad with full of colored squares !!! Nothing was working. So it seems that the jaunty rt kernel is out of working at this time. Hope it helps. Every Thursday we'll have another session in #ubuntu-classroom. Why am I asking for help here? Because we'd also like to make it easier for people who are not familiar enough with the English language. That does not mean we want to translate the full sessions simultaneously, but if people ask questions and are afraid to ask them in English, we'd like to get their questions translated into. How do we think this should work? The sessions are going to happen in #ubuntu-classroom on irc.freenode.net. I for one am going to hang out in #ubuntu-classroom-de as well and if somebody asks a question in German in there, I'll simply translate it and re-ask it in #ubuntu-classroom. Unfortunately there's no way around learning enough English to participate in Ubuntu Development. You simply have to pick up enough to collaborate with all other developers. We just want to make the first steps as easy as possible. In the future, it'd be nice to have the Packaging Guide translated to all other languages as well and maybe have sessions in multiple languages, for now we just aim towards the most easily achievable goals. A internet aqui é a cabo, A eth1 é conectada a um cable modem motorola, que é cedido em comodato pela virtua. Se for um moden ADSL, você pode conectar e colocar o endereço IP na interface. Veja que a internet na eth1, está funcionando corretamente, na minha opinião se deixar os cabos assim mexer nela não adianta para a rede funcionar na eth0 certo? em todo caso, em todas as versões do ubuntu que já usei antes (6.alguma coisa, 7.alguma coisa, e 8.04) funcionava normal esta placa, e nunca configurei nenhum ip do modem ^^ o comando route add, adiciona uma rota de saída da rede, ou seja, por onde os dados irão caso o pacote seja enviado para outra rede. Neste caso, se vc esta conectado a Internet através da eth1, e o mesmo é dinâmico, a eth1 ja irá fornecer o gateway default pra vc. então... nesse caso no meu computador eu não tenho que dar route add, afinal o dhcp que irá fornecer o gateway né? e nesse caso o gateway é para a internet, mas a internet no meu pc está funcionando. No pc da minha irmã que está configurado meu IP como gateway. Configurar gateway para internet (eth1) não parece relacionado com o fato de eu não pingar o outro computador na eth0 (nem o outro me pingar) Eu fiz exatamente isso que vc esta querendo fazer. Instalei o ubuntu 8.04 e depois atualizei pro 8.10. Foi até rápido, umas 8 horas depois estava pronto. Porém eu tenho problemas com minha placa de vídeo, coisa que não ocorria com o 8.04, mais ocorre com o 8.10. Bem, é o seguinte: 1: a internet so vai funcionar na placa on-board porque provavelmente, esta placa esta cadastrada no servidor da virtua, portanto nao adianta colocar a eth1 pra tentar usar a Internet. Os provedores de TV a cabo cadastram as mac dos computadores em seus sistemas, para permitir ou bloquear os acessos, devido a este motivo nao funciona mesmo. Voce ja tentou colocar o endereço ip na placa ETH1 e usar ela como rede local e nao conexão de Internet? Use a mesma configuração que te passei, deixando a eth0 para internet que ja funciona, e ative a placa ETH1 para compartilhar a conexao. teste em /etc/network/interfaces iface eth1 inet static address 192.168.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 auto eth1 e mantenha a eth0 como dhcp, ja que pega o endereço ip do provedor de internet. Hum... Você deu um Ping na rede pra ver se todas as maquinas enxergam o servidor web? (se nao faça pra desencargo de conciencia) em uma maquina na rede 192.168.1.x ping 192.168.1.??? - ip do servidor web Pelo que vi voce tem o seguinte: Servidor: Placas 1, 2 e 3 1 - conexao com a web 2 - conexao com a rede1 192.168.0.x 3 - conexao com a rede2 192.168.1.x (essa deve ter a estrutura da rede2 senao nao rola o ping) Sua rede1 já esta OK Entao sua rede2 com a estrutura 192.168.1.x deve estar enxergando o servidor web pelo ping. Se estiver agora voce deve dizer ao Squid (pois é ele que dá esta conexao) que ele deve disponibilizar internet tanto pra estrutura 192.168.0.x como pra 192.168.1.x (pois pode ser que ele esteja limitando a primeira estrutura) Se o seu iptables estava OK acho que nao precisa mexer nele, a nao ser que ele esteja limitando sua rede para a 192.168.0.x Por exemplo aqui na minha web meu squid só libera conexoes para a estrutura 192.168.0.x, isso serve de seguranca pra nao usarem meu IP como espelho. É... Alguém aqui tem 100% dos softwares legalizados? Usar software pirata numa empresa também seria um incentivo para a sua continuidade, então, quando seu chefe lhe indicar um computador para ser usado vai questionar se o sistema operacional e todos os programas ali instalados são legalizados? Ao chegar num lugar alguém fornecer uma cópia de um manual ou livro para que estude por ele devemos recusar terminantemente pois afinal de contas a cópia não foi legalizada. O que fazer quando formos a uma festa e alguém colocar um CD pirata para tocar? Tapar os ouvidos ou sair da festa? Ou ficar porque aí vale a frase: Não fui eu quem fez a pirataria... Usar o tempo na empresa (como estou usando agora) para responder um e-mail pessoal é gastar o dinheiro da empresa em benefício próprio. Se for listar aqui o que é certo e o que errado todo mundo vai preso, não sobra ninguém!!! (e eu estou no meio, não sou santo). Sou desenvolvedor, portanto, produtor de softwares. Me protejo como posso da pirataria de meus produtos, mas entendo perfeitamente o monopólio conseguido através da pirataria (tá aí o Bill Gates que não me deixa mentir). Vejo neste mundo muita gente apontando o dedo e fazendo a mesma coisa por baixo dos panos (não estou dizendo que é o caso das pessoas daqui). Mas cada um pensa conforme sua consciência. Não sei quem daqui viu, mas essa semana tomei conhecimento de dois casos inacreditáveis: -Primeiro, um pai (pedófilo) abusa de dois filhos e, quando a esposa consegue separação, o mesmo recebe a guarda das crianças! A mãe está há algum tempo sem vê-las! Como pode uma coisa dessa? -Segundo, aquele ex-jogador que matou a ex-esposa foi preso e, por incrível que pareça, a guarda do filho está com a mãe do assassino (que tem outro filho preso por assassinato)! Legal é se o filho crescer nesse ambiente: meu pai matou minha mãe e meu tio também é um assassino!!! Acho que os colegas viram na TV ontem que a MS esta pagando pra quem dar pistas do criador do virus 1 de abril né? Pois é, minha esposa me ligou aflita dizendo que um advogado da empresa onde ela trabalha falou sobre o virus num tom de desespero... eita. Bem, como é 1 de abril (o que acho ridicula esta data na questao de se propagar a mentira (coisa que deveria ser banida)) eu disse a ela... como pode um advogado ficar assim... primeiro que ele deve ser desatento pela data, depois ele é mal informado, diga a ele que já existe Linux :) Mas a MS parece estar no perreio mesmo pois pagar pra alguem achar o criado do virus? Não seria mais facil ela criar uma defesa no windows? Pessoal, esse tal tracker index é muito importante mesmo para o ubuntu? Depois de uma serie de travamentos percebi q sempre esse tracker index estava ativo, e com uma carga muito alta de cpu, a maquina sempre passava dos 70 graus (notebook compaq c710br). Depois de desativa-lo (SISTEMA / PREFERENCIA / PESQUISA E INDEXAÇÃO) não tive mais travamentos e a maquina parou de esquentar, mas fica a duvida se nao terei problemas futuros com o sistema... Obs. Meu objetivo quando abri o tópico não era criar um flame-war, mas como coloquei a tag de OFF-TOPIC então estou com a consciência mais tranquila. Bem e já que a conversa descambou para outro lado vou me expressar também: Eu tenho softwares 100% legalizados também. Não tenho nenhum cd pirata e nem cópia (eu destruí com todos eles há alguns anos). Meu windows vista de casa é comprado bem como os games que eu costumo jogar. E aproveitando para responder para o Felipe também: não tenho filme baixado da net (tenho sim o Revolution OS que está sob a GPL). Não tenho xerox de livros, mesmo porque vejo livros como investimento e não despesa. Não uso roupa de marca falsificada e nem compro nada no Paraguai, dentro ou não da taxa permitida. Estou respondendo esse e-mail por que a empresa é minha e portanto se estou gastando é dinheiro meu. Eu sou desenvolvedor de software e uso Java/Netbeans... acho um absurdo empresas que criam programas utilizando ferramentas roubadas, deveria ser preso todos... primeiro pelo roubo e depois por concorrência desleal pois uns pagam quase 10 mil reais por um PC legalizado e consequentemente cobram o preço justo por seu produto final, enquanto que outros roubam tudo e vendem seus softwares a preço de banana. O mais engraçado de tudo é que se vêem alguém utilizando o seu software de forma errada fazem o maior estardalhaço por causa disso... dois pesos duas medidas? Se for listar aqui o que é certo e o que errado todo mundo vai preso, não sobra ninguém!!! (e eu estou no meio, não sou santo). Não sei os outros mas eu não sou preso, mas apóio a lista e a prisão de quem faz errado. Sempre que você mover uma quantidade grande de arquivos este processo vai a loucura e começa a consumir todos os recursos da sua máquina, ao menos da minha que não é lá grandes coisas. O pior é quando um novo HD com arquivos é adicionado… Uma possível solução é desabilitar a indexação do Ubuntu, o que, ao menos até agora, não senti falta. Se também estiver sofrendo com a indexação do Ubuntu, aí vai a dica: Basta ir em Sistema - Preferências - Preferências de Indexação e desmarcar duas opções da Aba Geral (Habilitar Indexação e Habilitar monitoramento). Só para ter certeza, também tirei o processo da lista de “Programas iniciais adicionais”: Vá em Sistema - Preferências - Sessões e na lista desabilite o item chamado Tracker. Pronto… Agora sem mais picos de CPU. Para mim vale esperar um pouco mais em um consulta que quase nunca faço do que ter que parar para o Ubuntu Indexar constantemente… Fonte: zecamarada.motivacao.org Minha opinião: Não sei se a desativação da indexação influenciaria no desempenho do Ubuntu, eu testaria caso tivesse um problema similar ao seu. Bem pessoal, nem só de duvidas vive uma lista :) Segue aí uma dica pra quem precisa de um Administrador bem leve para MySQL emma, isso mesmo, o nome é esse. Vai no Adicionar / Remover programas e instale este aplicativo, ele é muito fácil e direto. Sei que exitem varios dentre eles o MySQL Browser da propria SUN mas este ai é pra quem quer coisa rapida e lite. Vai no Adicionar / Remover programas e instale este aplicativo, ele é muito fácil e direto. Sei que exitem varios dentre eles o MySQL Browser da propria SUN mas este ai é pra quem quer coisa rapida e lite. Por isso, acredito que deve-se incluir em cursos de inclusão digital noções em segurança da informação (falar para a garotada para não deixar o seu orkut aberto para todo mundo; não abrir aquivos anexados em e-mails de pessoas desconhecidas; a importância do sigilo de senhas de sistemas; os cuidados para criar uma senha; não acessar sites bancários em cyber cafés; e etc). Em um projeto que participei recentemente alguns alunos conseguiram ter essa visão. Ensinamos o BrOffice.org. Depois de um tempo descobri o Google Docs e apenas mostrei para alguns. Mas o ideal mesmo é eles saberem fazer planilhas e documentos de texto, o básico de escritório. (off: kero ensinar sobre temas e plugins para criar uma nova geração de adeptos ao firefox :P ) Sobre linux o bem básico de história, e alguns conceitos, bem genérico. A respeito da comparação , no final do curso só para eles notarem as diferenças, nada de muito complexo tmb, mas sempre idealizando o software livre. Bom dia Felipe. Começamos a ter mais informações... Bem, é o seguinte: 1: a internet so vai funcionar na placa on-board porque provavelmente, esta placa esta cadastrada no servidor da virtua, portanto nao adianta colocar a eth1 pra tentar usar a Internet. Na verdade a eth1 é a onboard! por algum motivo a offboard foi numerada como eth0. Mas tudo bem se a offboard não funcionar a internet, seria apenas uma configuração alternativa. Eu preciso que qualquer coisa funcione na eth0 (off-board) porque na eth1 qualquer coisa funciona! (Na eth0 só funciona rede na versão anterior do ubuntu, mesmo em live cd) Os provedores de TV a cabo cadastram as mac dos computadores em seus sistemas, para permitir ou bloquear os acessos, devido a este motivo nao funciona mesmo. Faz sentido, mas tenho quase certeza que no windows funcionava as duas... quando minha irmã voltar com o notebook vou testar ligar direto no micro dela para ver se consigo conectar. Mas como disse, não tem problema pra mim, desde que eu consiga a rede funcionar no eth0 (off board) na versão 8.10 do ubuntu. Voce ja tentou colocar o endereço ip na placa ETH1 e usar ela como rede local e nao conexão de Internet? Já tentei as duas configurações em duas versões do ubuntu (incluindo live cds): Internet na onboard (eth1) e rede na offboard (eth0): Ubuntu 8.10 só funciona internet (não a rede na eth0), mesmo live cd, não pinga rede. Ubuntu 8.04 (mesmo live cd) funciona tudo, na verdade já usava essas configurações antes do 8.04 Internet na offboard (eth0), e rede na onboard (eth1): Ubuntu 8.10 ou 8.04 só funciona rede (não a internet na eth0), consigo pingar outro computador e vice-versa, talvez a internet não funcione pela questão que vocês falaram. Reparem que na verdade meu foco principal (também tem o caminho alternativo) seria deixar a internet como está, funcionando na eth1 (on-board), como sempre usei, e só conseguir pingar a rede com o cabo de rede na eth0. Neste caso eu não precisaria mecher na configuração da on-board (eth1), pois a internet está funcionando, só na da offboard. Use a mesma configuração que te passei, deixando a eth0 para internet que ja funciona, e ative a placa ETH1 para compartilhar a conexao. teste em /etc/network/interfaces iface eth1 inet static address 192.168.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 auto eth1 e mantenha a eth0 como dhcp, ja que pega o endereço ip do provedor de internet. Infelizmente já testei as duas configurações :( Voce ja testou esta placa eth1 para conexão local? tipo, testar pingar em outro computador? Não, testei no meu! com o ubuntu 8.04 a placa em questão (na verdade é a eth0 o problema), continua pingando com o live cd. [Ubuntu-BR] Firewall iptables bloqueando web server interno
E aí galera bl
estou com o seguinte problema, criei um script contendo regras com o iptables e
estou rodando ele no meu gateway. Este equipamento roda tbem o squid e o MySAR
para gerar relatórios dos acessos.
só que não estou conseguindo acessar o servidor web contido neste servidor.
Para que eu acesse o servidor web eu tenho que dar um stop (parar) o firewall
(ou seja limpar as regras e mudar a politica padão para accept), qdo o firewall
está rodando ao tentar acesso ao servidor web recebo a seguinte mensagem:

A URL solicitada não pode ser recuperada

Veja só... Não sei se pegou essa época, foi quando surgiu o FrontPage o Mozilla lançou um Editor de páginas incorporado ao antigo Netscape e este se chamava compozer (acho que era com c mesmo). Entao gostaria de saber se o Firefox (sucessor dele) tem alguma opção neste sentido. Pois era um bom editor de páginas. Será que o Kompozer vei no lugar dele? Eu lembro de já ter ouvido que tirar fotocópias de livros que já não fossem mais editados era permitido, pela impossibildiade de adquirí-los. Alex, eu não entendi o que você quis dizer com: Quem é contra a pirataria, também só deve tirar cópias (xerox) de *pequenos trechos* de livros, isto vale para todos os estudantes universitários no brasil, é o que diz a lei. você já olhou os logs de erro do apache?
de um tail -f no /var/log/apache2/error.log, tente acessar o site e cole
aqui a saida do log.
Outra coisa, como está configurado seu SELinux?
Se tiver enforce tem que criar uma police para liberar o apache, senao ele
não deixa acessar o site mesmo.

E aí galera bl
estou com o seguinte problema, criei um script contendo regras com o
iptables e estou rodando ele no meu gateway. Este equipamento roda tbem o
squid e o MySAR para gerar relatórios dos acessos.
só que não estou conseguindo acessar o servidor web contido neste servidor.
Para que eu acesse o servidor web eu tenho que dar um stop (parar) o
firewall (ou seja limpar as regras e mudar a politica padão para accept),
qdo o firewall está rodando ao tentar acesso ao servidor web recebo a
seguinte mensagem:
ERRO
A URL solicitada não pode ser recuperada
O seguinte erro foi encontrado:
* Requisição inválida.
Já analisei as minhas regras e não consegui encontrar a origem do problema,
por favor preciso de ajuda.

Verificando suas regras de firewall notei que a regra para acesso
ao servidor apache, que teoricamente esta rodando na porta 80, esta
comentada, experimente descomentar a linha que libera o acesso a porta
80 para ver se o problema é resolvido, ou, simplesmente, digite na
linha de comando iptables -A INPUT --dport 80 -j ACCEPT, esse comando
irá liberar o acesso na porta 80 para as redes interna e externa.

gostaria de aproveitar a dúvida do nosso colega pra perguntar se existe alguma
forma de rodar um script de firewall na inicialização do Sistema Operacional ,
pois já fiz de tudo, e só consigo fazer rodar chamando o script
estou usando ubuntu server 8.04
ps. Amigo não é uma boa prática expor assim o ip da sua rede, isso abre um
leque imenso pra invasão se o ambiente em que vc trabalha é de produção,
com essas informações, alguém poderia invadir a sua rede facilmente...

Verificando suas regras de firewall notei que a regra para acesso
ao servidor apache, que teoricamente esta rodando na porta 80, esta
comentada, experimente descomentar a linha que libera o acesso a porta
80 para ver se o problema é resolvido, ou, simplesmente, digite na
linha de comando iptables -A INPUT --dport 80 -j ACCEPT, esse comando
irá liberar o acesso na porta 80 para as redes interna e externa.

você já olhou os logs de erro do apache?
de um tail -f no /var/log/apache2/error.log, tente acessar o site e cole
aqui a saida do log.
Outra coisa, como está configurado seu SELinux?
Se tiver enforce tem que criar uma police para liberar o apache, senao ele
não deixa acessar o site mesmo.

estou com o seguinte problema, criei um script contendo regras com o
iptables e estou rodando ele no meu gateway. Este equipamento roda tbem o
squid e o MySAR para gerar relatórios dos acessos.
só que não estou conseguindo acessar o servidor web contido neste servidor.
Para que eu acesse o servidor web eu tenho que dar um stop (parar) o
firewall (ou seja limpar as regras e mudar a politica padão para accept),
qdo o firewall está rodando ao tentar acesso ao servidor web recebo a
seguinte mensagem:
ERRO
A URL solicitada não pode ser recuperada
O seguinte erro foi encontrado:
* Requisição inválida.
Já analisei as minhas regras e não consegui encontrar a origem do problema,
por favor preciso de ajuda.

Доброго дня. Всегда пользовался amarok, но хотелось бы найти аналог, но писанный под gnome. Вчера перебровал несколько аудио плееров, наиболее похожий на amarok - exaile, но управление модулями работает как-то глючновато, да и о самом плеере не самое приятное впечатление. Что мне необходимо от плеера: 1. наличе global hot key, ессно настраиваемое. 2. возможность добавления директории для проигрывания. Например в banshee не вкурил как добавить фолдер, в bmpx предлагает добавить только файлы. Желательно, чтобы возможность добавлять файлы и директории не требовала открытия дополнительных приложений для драг-н-дропа. 3. желательна легковесность приложения. 4. как писал выше - писанный под gnome. Пока что, самый добынй для меня оказался амарок, как и ранее. Но иногда отъедает ресурсы. На сколько понял, отъедает именно сканирование заданного фолдреа на наличие обновлений. Я тоже давно уже использую mpd...
