As previously stated I have already written a Qt-based wrapper - this was to allow any page to be installed as a web-app. Now grated this means creating a .desktop file, but that is fairly easy (and an example LMS .desktop file is provided). Although not Electron based specificaly, it does use the same chromium engine as Electron - just wraped in the Qt toolkit. As can be seen from the screenshots I have started working on an LMS-specific version. This does server auto-discovery, allows configuring the zoom of the webpage, and now also implements MPRIS. This is a standalone app wiith its own .desktop file, which I -might- then build a .deb package from. However, please note that development of this app has only just started, and it relies on the development version of Material (which is not yet ready for release). (The app also currently has an awful name ("lms-material-app-qt") so I will need to think of a much better one before any release). Being Qt based, if there is any interest I might see about creating a Mac package, and possibly Windows (although not much need due to Squeezelite-X). *Material debug:* 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json (Use http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json,cometd to also see update messages, e.g. play queue) 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Open console tab in developer tools 4. REQ/RESP messages sent to/from LMS will be logged here. cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116934 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Sorry I don't get it. Yes, the NAS is a bit old, but switched the RPI from WIFI to Ethernet and gained a minute or so. It takes about 7-8 min to load the config page. I just want to load the config page. Why the hell is LMS scanning all folders? Listing works fast on the LMS player interface page. I cannot speak for others who have posted suggestions, but when I posted the directions for manually installing SqueezePlay, I was under the mistaken impression that you wanted to have a non-browser-based desktop client that could control players attached to LMS, and that you might be willing to follow some simple instructions to achieve that. I suspect that was the thinking behind other posts, too: the point wasn't that *someone* might attempt to follow the directions, but that *YOU* could. I think it is clear now that what you want is a .deb package to install such a client, and nothing else. That remains a possibility, although an unlikely one. My understanding is that developers in this community usually work on projects that interest them. So far, you are the only one who has expressed a need for a .deb package for this purpose. [SlimDevices: Unix] bluetooth adapter comaptible PCP 8.2.0
Hi, I am new to this forum. I just upgraded to PCP 8.2.0 and would like to use a nano bluetooth adapter on my raspberry pi 2. So I bought a TP link UB500 which I read was compatible with a 5.15 kernel. On my ubuntu 22.04 with kernel 5.15.0-52 the adapter is recognized immediately. But on the pcp 8.2 which also has a 5.15 kernel it is obviously not recognized. Indeed after the dmesg command it seems that the firmware is missing. The answer il like : Code: [ 688.609128] bluetooth hci0: Direct firmware load for rtl_bt/rtl8761b_fw.bin failed with error -2 [ 688.609131] Bluetooth: hci0: RTL: firmware file rtl_bt/rtl8761b_fw.bin not found Do you think it is possible to add the firmware or make this BT adapter recognized with PCP 8.2 and how to do it? If not, would you recommend a compatible nano adapter ? Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: piCorePlayer 8.0.0
When using the nightly dev (LMS 8.4) scanning the library no longer works. I assume this is because of the new version of SCAN which has not been included in the LMS Binaries and Libraries ?` How does it fail? I don't think pCP has been updated to use the latest scanner module. ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
