Again, we'd love to have you join some QA work to help us avoid these
issues going into the future, even if it's only an hour a week (or less).
Triaging a bug a day can take less than 10 minutes and is tremendously
helpful. Currently we have a backlog of about 1500 bugs. That means we have
1500 bugs that we aren't sure if they exist, and if they do, we're not sure
how important they are until QA gets to them.

If you, or anyone, wants to join us on IRC, the chat is quite active and
friendly ;)

Find us: #libreoffice-qa on freenode

I believe that this is known and is being investigated. With 20 million
lines of code, I hope everyone can imagine that regressions will happen and
we will do our very best to fix them as soon as possible.

As for the installing over 3.6 - not sure but in Linux this doesn't happen.
Others may have more feedback and it's feedback, cooperation and
contributions that help keep Open Source alive and vibrant.

I didn't read the whole thread as I just have a lot on my plate but being
involved with QA I have a few points;

1) are these reported as bug reports?

2) is it one document or all documents?

then please note:

3) Writer and Spreadsheet account for about 75% of our use base (if you
look at number of bugs reported against writer and spreadsheet you'll get
an idea of how popular they are). Because the vast number of our developers
work for FREE we have to prioritize and get to bugs that impact the largest
number of users. We have very few developers who know the presentation
code, those ones do a tremendous amount of work and should be thanked by
everyone for the service they provide.

4) If you want to contribute (either by developing, helping QA or giving
money) it may help get bugs squashed faster - there are plenty to go around
;)

Best,
Joel

+1 +1 +1

I've even attempted to make several runs at it. The documentations is a

If someone implements this as a contribution to the project *PLEASE

There really seems to be an *AMAZING* amount of power just sitting there
to be used - but it is completely obscured to anyone not aleady familiar
with UNO's syntax and vocabulary.

Especially with the introduction of CMIS support it really seems a great
time to facilitate real automation via LibreOffice.

This seems to be a general consensus and it sucks for my purposes at
least :-/

Another option is just going straight python and at least compiling the
necessary numbers, then manually doing the charts and what not.

Anyone able to do this?

Maybe we need to get doc team involved at some point with PyUno to see
if they can start getting decent documentation together.

[libreoffice-users] If Cell Contains String True

2013-02-21 Thread Joel Madero
Hi All,

I've asked this before but can't track down the thread so here it goes
again, the previous solution did not work (thought it had).

What I have:

A|B
comment|regression check
regression|
regression,BSA,i10n|
BLANK|
BLANK|
regression|
regression,bibisected|
BSA|
BSA|
cleanup0407|

If that's not clear those are A1:B10, where | splits A and B columns. B
column is empty other than B1 which has header "regression check"

I need a formula which will be true if the word "regression" is in A at all
(so in the above example A2, A3,A5,A6 would all be true).

The solution that was provided to me before was:
=NOT(ISERROR(TEXT("regression",A2)))

I'm getting inconsistent results with this, I'm not even sure exactly what
it's finding but something isn't right.

Thanks in advance,

Joel

[libreoffice-users] Looking for PyUno Contributor(s)

2013-02-20 Thread Joel Madero

Hi All!

I am one of the members of the Quality Assurance team with LibreOffice
and we are looking for a volunteer to work with myself designing (and
coding) the framework to start automating our stats. It's been on my
list for much too long and I just don't have the technical know how to
do it. If there are are users or developers who can slowly get this
accomplished it would greatly help QA as well as Marketing as our stats
are done almost completely manually at this point, not only is this time
consuming but it's also likely that there could be mistakes or missing
data.

If there are any takers, again this would be a great help, I have a
general idea of what I'd like to do, just trying to find people who are
capable of implementation.

Many thanks and best regards,
Joel

It's a ridiculous amount of work to integrate the code even if it's open.
Furthermore, the debate is ongoing and heated about if those kinds of
changes are even desired.

I am a contributor for LibreOffice both in development and QA. I wouldn't
say it's "sanctioned" (ie. we're not saying definitely use this service)
but it has been used successfully at least once or twice before. This being
said, it's still no guarantee that it'll get your enhancement done
immediately but it's okay to offer funding to have your bug fixed. It's
just up to developers to decide if the payment is a) necessary for them and
b) enough that they'll do it :)

We are currently working on getting these details on the website along with
are certified developer list with their fee schedules. Not sure when this
will be done but it's a work in progress

a feature request is reported as a bug. It is our (QA) job to ensure that
they are categorized correctly after the request/bug is confirmed.

Re: Fwd: [libreoffice-users] Value and Date function in Macro

2013-02-11 Thread Joel Madero
So I came out with a really micky mouse way that works but I don't like it.
I'm hoping one of you (or someone else or both of you) will help me with
the entire code so that I can clean it up. I'm not a programmer by
profession (no formal training) so I know the code has issues - but it
works!

Any way that we can take this off the thread and I'll send the template
your way?

I know this is asking a lot so no worries if not possible. I'm not asking
someone to do it for me, more like "tutor me when you have time" to get the
code up to snuff.

Thanks for everyone's help up to date, much help.

Joel

[libreoffice-users] Version 4.0 - Enjoying it?

2013-02-10 Thread Joel Madero

Hi All,

I hope you're all enjoying the new release of LibreOffice 4! For those
of you who are finding LibreOffice to be a great productivity suite I
encourage you to head over to http://donate.libreoffice.org/ and donate
a few dollars to allow our great team of developers to continue
improving on an already incredible product. LibreOffice is free and open
but for many, it allows us to rid ourselves from other software which
can be hundreds of dollars, even $5 helps a ton to maintain our
infrastructure and to promote LibreOffice worldwide.

I hope all of you will consider.

Thanks for reading!

What is the format of "currentCellValue"? You grab the first four

formatted.

a string is stored to pasteValue which I then can manipulate how I want.

What I want to do is make it actually more like this:

pasteValue =
date(value(mid(currentCellValue,1,4),value(mid(currentCellValue,5,2),value(mid(currentCellValue,8,2))

This won't work, there are so many things wrong with this, I won't
even try to deal with what you did wrong. Instead, I will guess what
you meant to do.

Curious why this works so well when in a cellworks exactly how I
want it to. So, it must be possible to work in a macro as well.

I am guessing that you are using something like a four digit year, a
two digit month, and then a two digit day. Is this correct? If so,
then you can CDateFromIso(currentCellValue), and this will give you a
date object directly and do all the work for you. This is the easiest
solution I think.

currentCellValue is a string that is ##.##., again this is a string

If you really want to do the hard work and rip values out, you
probably want to use

DateSerial(year, month, day)

In your case, it is probably:

DateSerial(mid(currentCellValue,1,4), mid(currentCellValue,5,2),
mid(currentCellValue,7,2))

Your strings will be automatically converted to numbers, so you don't
need to do it in your macro.

It needs to be done in macro, there is a big loop that it has to go through.

Disclaimer: This will return a number, which will not cause the cell
to be formatted as a date; you must set the formatting to be a date.

This isn't a problem.

I'll try with what you've provided.

Thanks,
Joel

[libreoffice-users] Value and Date function in Macro

2013-02-08 Thread Joel Madero
Hi All,

I have a macro setup that can easily do the following:

pasteValue = mid(currentCellValue,1,4)

a string is stored to pasteValue which I then can manipulate how I want.

What I want to do is make it actually more like this:

pasteValue =
date(value(mid(currentCellValue,1,4),value(mid(currentCellValue,5,2),value(mid(currentCellValue,8,2))

I want to do this because the pasteValue as it stands is a text field, I
need it converted to a date field. I can do this just fine by manaully
entering the above code into a cell directly (ie. not in a macro) but when
I enter it in the macro I get:

Sub-procedure or function procedure not defined.

I know I can work out a micky mouse way by adding another column and
referring to the previous pasted data and then doing a special paste of it,
but this seems unnecessary.

Thanks in advance.

Joel

Re: [libreoffice-users] IF w/ Regular Expression

2013-02-08 Thread Joel Madero
I actually went to bed thinking "crap, that email wasn't very clear " lol.
My apologies indeed, I should know better!

So I have a column N that has keywords, some of them are blank, some of
them have items such as "regression" or "regression, bibisect" or
"bibisect, regression" etc...

What I want to do is have a column O that has a 1 if ANY TEXT in column N
is equal to "regression" so all three of the above strings would show a 1.

Clear?

Hope so, best regards,
Joel

[libreoffice-users] [LibreOffice-QA] CANCELED - Conference Call - February 8th, 2013

2013-02-07 Thread Joel Madero
Hi All,

It seems like many of the QA team are unavailable for tomorrow's meeting
which makes discussion much harder.

If there is no objection (within the next few hours) the call tomorrow
(February 8th) has been CANCELED in order to ensure that we have our full
QA team handling the agenda.

We will plan on having our next call at the regular scheduled day:

February 22nd, 2013 @ 1400 UTC

Assume that the call is CANCELED unless I send out another email :-D

Best Regards,
Joel

Re: [libreoffice-users] Suggests

2013-02-03 Thread Joel Madero
I think this thread is missing the details of what a tremendous task
this would be to begin with. Our developers are already stretched
incredibly thin, doing something like this is unrealistic at any point
in the near future. If it's even wanted, is a different discussion, but
I think the reality is it's not going to happen because of lack of man
power - that's enough to say, no, we will not be looking like Office 2013.

With my 64-bit Debian install, there is a section for "Print dialogs"
and the option for that is "Use LibreOffice dialogs".

With my install on Windows 7 professional, that "Print dialogs"
section is missing.

I do not know if it is missing in my Windows installs for earlier
versions of LO, since I updated all my Windows systems to 3.6.4 last
month.

I know, for Ubuntu, I need to click that check box in order to get LO
to print duplex pages properly for my Epson Artisan 810 printer. With
that option, both my HP Laserjet 2300dn and Canon MG6220 [inkjet]
printers are duplexing properly as well.

I am running Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit OS with MATE desktop environment and
Win7/pro 64-bit systems[plus Ubuntu 10.04 and Win XP/pro] So my Linux
system show it, but my Windows systems do not.

It there a reason that DEB installs need that option and Windows do not?

As I said, I just noticed that check box option missing on my Windows
install.

Try enabling experimental features, I vaguely remember this conversation
before.

Hi!

When using PDF/A, the following messages were shown.

During PDF export the following problems occurred:

PDF/A forbids transparency. A transparent object was painted opaque instead.

Some objects were converted to an image in order to remove transparencies,
because the target PDF format does not support transparencies. Possibly better
results can be achieved if you remove the transparent objects before exporting.

I am fully informed. Is there a way to switch off these warnings? How?

Is there a better way to display the warnings, e.g.
1. display warnings for 20 seconds and stop displaying them automatically, or
2. display warnings in an "action bar"?

In both cases, users should be allowed to do other things without confirming
that they see the warnings.

At present, users must press OK or the x before they can do other things.

Maybe, there should be a part like:
Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> Warnings
->
( checked ) Enable warnings when XXX
( checked ) Enable warnings when YYY
( checked ) Enable warnings when ZZZ

This looks systematic.

Regards,
C. H. D.

Great idea, can you report it to bugzilla as an enhancement request. I
can even imagine a "scrolling warning" across the bottomlots of
options, I dig the idea though.

I have currently not time enough to repair it for you, but here is,
what you need to do:

- Make a copy of the file and work on the copy.
- Unzip the file. Depending on your unpacker, you might need to change
the filename-extension from .odt to .zip. You will get a folder.

- Go inside the folder. You will see the file content.xml
- Open the file with an editor, that is able to handle UTF8 and Unix
line ends.
- Go to the place, which is given in the error message. You will see
two identical parts of the kind foo="bar". Remove one of them. Save
the file. Be sure to use UTF8 and Unix line ends.
- Mark all content of the folder and zip it. You will get a file, with
filename-extension .zip. Change the filename-extension to .odt.

If all went well, you can open the file now. If it is not a text file,
you have of cause to use the appropriate filename-extension.

Kind regards
Regina

Excellent, thanks for the advice to both of you. I used emacs and
discovered the error - my bigger concern now is that LibO did this to
begin with :-/

Best Regards and Thanks Again,
Joel

Go inside of the directory and then click Ok, so instead of maybe
/media/Windows and then clicking on "Documents", navigate inside of the
Documents folder and click ok. Several others have issued similar
complaints about how paths are handled and I believe it's a bug report
that's being looked into.

I fount LibreOffice 3.6.4 listed.

This statement is what worries me though:

Ninite fully automates installers offscreen."

See what you think.

When I used Windows years ago I used to ninite quite frequently, it's
just a small installer that then pulls the individual installers and
then goes through them automatically, pretty functional.

volunteer(s) to help me maintain a stats wiki. Right now I am the only one
maintaining it and I just am pushed for time to maintain it the way that
I'd like to.

Here is the site: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA_Stats

That is only one set of stats, there are at least 3 other sets that I'd
like to maintain regularly and am always looking for additional useful
stats for our development team as well as our marketing team. If you're
interested please send me an email and we'll work something out. Please
don't just go add stuff, I much prefer coordinating what our goal is in
having the stats updated :)

Skills needed:
Ability to use wiki relatively well
Ability to write clear instructions in English
Ability to maintain a normal schedule (kind of?) to update regularly

Not a huge time commitment here, updating that one that's there really
takes about 2 minutes, if we can get 5-10 different sets of stats it'd
really help out our teams.

Best Regards,
Joel

Re: [libreoffice-users] Chart Range Entire Column

2012-12-05 Thread Joel Madero
I'll look into both solutions provided although the Base one kind of goes
outside of the scope of what I'm looking for. This is an issue that has
applied to a lot of spreadsheets for me and an auto update feature would be
really useful. My spreadsheet structure is like this:

A|B|C
Date|Income|Expenses
YY/DD/MM||

It seems like this wouldn't be the best for a database and seems to be
perfect for a spreadsheet.

Many thanks, I will be putting this into FDO as an enhancement request, I
believe that MSO does it but not positive.

Joel

[libreoffice-users] Chart Range Entire Column

2012-12-05 Thread Joel Madero
Hi All,

I want to know if there's a way to make a chart range be an entire column
so that if I add data I don't have to manually alter the range. For
instance, every month I do expenses and the new row would be "MM/" then
there's expenses and income listed, every time I add a new entry I have to
manually update the data range which is a hassle. If I select the entire
column as a data range it automatically adjusts to the last row with data.
Furthermore, if I just do a range that has like 10,000 extra rows (Maybe
A1:A1) the chart is squished (it doesn't auto adjust according to logic
of where last cell contains data and then update when new data is entered).

Many thanks as always,
Joel

Re: [libreoffice-users] cropped images in docx file not formatted correctly

2012-11-26 Thread Joel Madero
I'd suggest looking at bugs.freedesktop.org and search for similar
problems. I know that image placement has been reported before and .docx is
a nightmare to work with (Microsoft isn't very open about sharing their
standards.if you didn't know that :) ).

P.S. If you don't see similar bug reports I suggest you report the bug and
attach a test document so that we can look into it

Re: [libreoffice-users] Re: OpenOffice to be dumped in Freiburg ?

2012-11-19 Thread Joel Madero
I was one of the one who sent a direct email to you (should have kept it on
list, my apologies) about contributing. QA is actively trying to grow and
requires very little (if any) programming skills. If you'd like to help out
with QA (triaging mostly right now), let us know and we'll help you get
started. Devs can't start fixing problems until they are appropriately
prioritized so there may be hundreds of bugs about interoperability with
MSO but Devs can't look at it until our small team of QA'ers get to them
and verify the bugs and then prioritize.

independent and might even discover some truths. So, I think anyone that can
take the survey might well be helping both us and the people doing the survey.

https://limesurvey.sim.vuw.ac.nz/index.php?sid=14153%E2%8C%A9=en

It doesn't take long to complete the survey and it can be done in chunks quite easily. I
think we should support it so i am forwarding it to another couple of lists. It's
interesting that their definition of 'newcomer' (they mean someone in LO around 2 years
or less) covers just about everyone using LO. I wasn't in OpenOffice.org but i get the
impression that there are significant differences in infrastructure, attitudes and
approach. Also their definition of "member" is a lot more open than TDF's so if
you are not officially a member then you can probably still fill it in.

Remember that you must be a contributor though. A user who just asks
questions on the user forum should not fill out the survey. If you
regularly help others on the user forum, I would say you're easily a
contributor, but a person who only asks a question here or there,
probably shouldn't fill out the survey

Hello All,

Unfortunately, as stated, this is for batch jobs. Converting to PDF is
an option (only because of other filters such as pdftotext). The problem
with that, is this is a system that will be used heavily. Every
conversion setup will slow things down and possibly cause loss of
context of the text (where such context exists).

I believe it is a bug that Impress and Calc won't do text export. Yes,
Calc does .csv, but the commas are a problem. A text export should use
spaces (if this can be done on the command line then calc works. Impress
needs a text export.

Why? It is text, let me get it out easily. Why not through ? Because, the text, as I understood it, is
stored in UTF-8 in all ODT/ODS/ODP, etc. formats. Is this true for files
imported (Word, Excel, etc.)? I don't know. If I just needed the Open
Document formats, I would use odt2txt, ods2txt, odp2txt, etc. (I believe
I have seen all of them). However, I need fast, one-stop conversion to
UTF-8 text for all office formats that LibreOffice can read.

My feature request: Please, implement conversion to text for Impress and
Calc as well. As stated, just dump the text out of ODP (use a newline or
other whitespace character between text objects and slides, otherwise
just straight text). For ODS, csv export works if the comma can be
replaced by a space.

If a bug report belongs elsewhere, I am sorry. I was unable to find a
bugzilla or similar and this seemed the best list for it.

Thank you,
Trever Adams

2012-10-19 Thread Joel Madero
I would say the code is "getting better". I've only been on the project a
few months so I can't say how much progress we've made but I know that we
still have a build time of 4+ hours which says a lot. The code is still a
bit tricky, not enough comments left by previous developers, etc...

Also, I would argue that "our project" (meaning LibO, we don't use LO ;) ),
is quite small still. We have a very small team of developers who routinely
(>1 patch per week) contribute, a slightly bigger team that submits at
least one patch a month, and then a couple hundred that have submitted 1 or
2 patches in the course of several months (this includes myself ). We could
probably double our number of developers doing 1 patch or so a month and
still be in need for quite a few more.

Joel

Question: What means:

-FDO
In IRC (chat client) we have automatic robots that routinely (ten's of

(bot) spits out an automated message saying that a person (with a name)

FDO = free desktop . org (f d o). Ans is where you can report bugs

That is 3,956 bugs and climbing (there are an additional 1,200 or so
that are reported but not confirmed yet...the QA team confirms the bugs
so developers can focus on coding)

c) resulting in data loss

We are a young project and this is a goal that has been set. Being young, this
is a goal, not a fact. If you're interested in seeing how much work is done on
a daily basis, just follow gerrit (our code tracker), or sit in IRC and look at
the incredibly brilliant conversations that happen to find solutions to many of
the problems that are being reported.

Just to give another point, we are averaging more than 5 new reports PER DAY.
Our QA team is a group of volunteers no more than 7 or 8 strong. Each of these
bugs has to go through a long process just to verify, ensure that it's not a
duplicate, communicate with the user who reported it, and then priortize it.
That's JUST getting the bug confirmed, then it gets put into the stack where a
very small group of dedicated developers tackle them, one by one. A single bug
can take a week + to tackle (that's 40+ hours). Let's say the average bug takes
10 hours (a massive understatement), that's 50,000 hours worth of work to
tackle the 5,000 or so confirmed bugs.

Seeing these off hand remarks about how we should develop the product is
disheartening. I wish that more people would take a class at their local
community college, or take a free online course, and start to put their
thoughts to work on our code.

Another problem for all programs in wide release is wide hardware variability

This is going to go on my list of QA stats that I prepare for our team.
I'm not sure how I'll get the data BUT when I do I suspect that 90+% of
our work goes towards bug fixing, 10% or so goes towards enhancements.
Once I get the data together I'll make sure to send it out to the user
list. One good way to know that most of our work goes towards bug fixing
is to sit in LibreOffice dev chat and watch as the bot lists the patches
being pushed, I RARELY see anything but bug fixes. Another good
indicator is looking at FDO and seeing that most enhancements are left
untouched (unfortunate but we just don't have enough developers).

Yes, but rather than learn new words for all those sorts of things i thought it
was smart to re-use words that we ARE familiar with in order to give a close

LO is a meritocracy which suggests there are leaders leading. There is some
sort of management structure that has some sort of hierarchy but one that can
respond sensibly to people's changing lives rather than being stagnant and
brittle.

We don't need to know the exact details and just using words that are similar
enough is good enough for us on this list. If people want details then they
can probably find them out easily enough by joining the devs list or looking
around their wiki and places. It's not hidden it's just too much for me to
think about right now and their are tons of ways they could have structured it
sensibly to deal with the type of work they do.

The main point is that devs are roughly equal to rock gods imo while we hang
around helping people with their tickets and point them to the bar.

I don't mean that a single manager makes all decisions and the team has to
follow. The word
"manager" could and should be understood also as "management team", "decision making
team",
"leadership", etc.

I am not familiar with the structure of the dev team and decision making
processes. Thus, I used
simply "manager". At the end it is the dev team bringing LO forward. Let me
repeat myself, but I
respect these people a lot and I am very grateful for all the work they did and

I think that it's precisely because we see so much great development being done that we
get excited about it and want more. Also the fact that people can post bug-reports and
even non-coders opinions do get listened makes us feel like we can "off-load".
So, a lot of the criticisms are not necessarily about LO specifically but about IT in
general.

ROSt talks about management decisions and hints about those being imposed on a workforce
because that's the easier way for most of us on the Users List to understand it. I
suspect that most of us either do now or have at some point worked in traditional offices
in mainstream management structures. In LO i imagine the equivalent is leadership rather
than management. Inspiration and initiative rather than "just following
orders". Personal investment and interest in achieving goals. It is leading to
some impressive results.

Hi Joel,

I think nobody blames the dev team for not working enough; in contrast all
appreciate the work done by the dev team, being it new features or bug fixes.

For my understanding the concerns and opinions expressed here are more related
to the ratio of devs being allocate to new features versus bug fixes. I think
most of us also understand that first the number of devs is limited, and second
the decision on how many devs on new features and how many on bug fixes is not
an easy one. It is a management decisions, which can turn out right or wrong.
And for management decisions one needs a lot of information. Speaking for
myself I would regard these comments as additional information.

In this sense, please regard the messages in this forum as additional
information, which could.should help decision makers to make decisions. And
should a decision turn out to be wrong, there is no problem in changing course.
The worst thing a manager can do is, not to make a decision. Without decision
there is no change to the situation and thus no chance for improvement.

Let me thank here again all devs doing great jobs in developing and improving

This is simply unrealistic. For anyone who has any experience with
programming this would be known. No offense but with a ratio of
100,000:1 or more users to developers, the idea that we would just
squash all bugs and stop releasing new versions isn't realistic at all
and thus why developers wouldn't respond to this recommendation. If you
want to help I suggest taking some C++ classes and getting involved with
the code. Most of us are volunteers who do this with our spare time, I
hope you all keep that in mind

Obviously I've been crying in vain because I have not noticed any

I have LibO3.4.6 installed (Win7) but avoid using it (Calc, Base) because
I have better to do than struggle with problems.
I would like to know which LibO version for the time being can be
considered as the most reliable and productive -- especially regarding Base.
It would also be interesting to see an (valid) evaluation of that reliable

Official membership is for contributors, there is a process of commitment,
verification, etc... to become one. To become one the first step is to
become a contributor (meaning developer, marketing team, etc...)

This is a feature request and probably a useful one. At this point our list
of bugs (not enhancements) is long enough that getting to these kinds of
requests is tough with such a small group of developers :( We are really
trying to grow our developer base so that we can start tackling some of
these cool and useful enhancement requests. I know there is something about
fonts being embedded in the future, not sure what kind of progress that's
seen.

I don't know much about their process. I know I applied and am waiting for
feedback. I know that to be a member there are a few requests from TDF.
They want commitment and I think that's the biggest thing. I've only been a
contributor for about 4 months but in that time I've become really involved
so we'll see. I agree, the survey shouldn't be just for members, that being
said, wording should change to not confuse people if that's the case .

Re: [libreoffice-users] Survey about newcomer experience for LibreOffice project contributors

2012-10-17 Thread Joel Madero
Just to clarify, is this only for official members? There is a difference
between the main community and official members of TDF. Most people are not
official members, there's a long process that has some requirements to it.
I started the survey and stopped when I cam across Question #5, I'm not an
official member of TDF.

Please clarify and we'll move forward. Thanks!

I'm not sure how to forwards this to the devs list.

There has been some talk of getting accessibility bugs marked out to

hopefully get them fixed faster.

Thanks to IBM's gift of their Lotus Symphony code to Apache AOO is going to
have a major boost to it's accessibility and that is going to give AOO a
significant advantage in corporate environments. So, accessibility needs to be
a priority (along with Base) for LO imo.

Please send me an email with exactly what you're talking about so I can
bring it up during our next QA conference call. Or, if you want to join

Because of the LibO conference happening in Berlin, our next QA call is

Again not appropriate and you'll find a hard time getting involved with ANY
open source project if you make clearly private messages public. I
apologize that you are struggling so much with getting a wiki account BUT
there are "generally accepted ways" of going about communicating and one of
those is not making private conversations public. Since you went ahead and
did so I'll keep it public so that you aren't spamming users with my
personal replies.

A ping is just a quick email (or IRC message, etc...) that says "hey, any
updates", some users even just say "ping" in IRC basically saying "hey, you
around?"

I hope you find the assistance you need from another user and or volunteer.
