Hi,

 Is this project moving forward? I still don't see any rpms? I checked
 the automx mailing list and no announcement there either.

As far as I can tell, automx is running under Centos6.2. All required
dependencies are in the standard repositories. So it shouldn't be too hard to
prepare RPM packages. Last time I had done RPMs was under SuSE 8.4. That's a
while ago; hope that has not changed too much since these days ;-)

Okay, sorry about my feature request. The solution is already there.

For people using mysql authentication the solution from Francis works. I did not try it because I thought it only works in multi domain mode, but I added it and now only the users of teh same domain show up.

Thanks for the tip Francis.

If I every try the LDAP auhtentication I will try youy solution Nathanael.

Re: [SOGo] SOGosync questions

2012-06-18 Thread Hans de Groot
Hi xbgmsharp,

Thanks for your reply,

I think someone pointed me to sogosync so sync with outlook. Thats why I tried this. But you are right active sync is ment for mobile devices and has nothing to do with outlook.
I also tried SOGo 2 a while ago but this is only for deployment in an office enviroment or else use vpn. I was hoping for a hosted exchange alternative. My users can be anywhere. They just register a domain and can start adding mailboxes. VPN is not an option here, much to complicated. SOGo2 works with MAPI but I now figured out I need outlook anywhere to have random outlook clients connect from anywhere they want.

Someone sugested Funambol for outlook. I am going to try that, but I had very bad experiences using funambol on android (contacts and events kept doubling) but maybe the windows client works better.

Regards

Hans

	 HI list,

	 I am trying out sogosync and am surprised I actually saw email comming
	 in. I thought email was not supported?

	It does support IMAP but it is not part of sogosync, it is by default in
	z-push.

	 Its not very stable though since the mail also disappears again and
	 reapeared again later. Same with my test contact I made in sogo. It
	 apeared on my (android) phone and than I had the same contact 3 times
	 and later it went back to one contact. Also sogod is suddenly using
	 lots of cpu and the z-push log is contantly logging stuff, errors,
	 warnings and info.

	Depending on the number of events and contacts it might take time for
	the first sync.
	Activesync can only sync 25 elements at a time.
	Mail and calendar are filter by time range, however there is not such
	feature for contact in carddav server.
	If you have any error in z-push-error.log please send them, because you
	should not.

	 I in stalled the sogosync from git hub (todays version).

	 I tried adding an exchange account but I did not have succes there.
	 Does anyone know if this is possible?

	What do you mean by exchange account?
	Because it the way you need to setup for ios and Android at least. and
	it does work.

	 I did configure the proxy to use ssl but I only specified a domain
	 name. not any path. ie: sogo.dandy.nl and not
	 sogo.dandy.nl/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync

	 But I got these lines in my apache log:
	 RPC_IN_DATA /rpc/rpcproxy.dll?sogo.dandy.nl:6004 HTTP/1.1 400 312
	 Ofcourse I do not have any ddl on my apache server. Should I configure
	 outlook (2010) differently?

	Where outlook is coming from?
	Activesync is a 2 way sync for mobile device not to Outlook.
	As it is pure HTTP you can surely configure a proxy in the middle.
	RPC is not poart of ActiveSync protocol.

	 Is it possible to configure outlook (2010) so it only syncs contacts
	 and calendars with SOGo 1.3.*? and use imap for mail?

	No it is not the purpose of ActiveSync.
	To do so you SOGo2 which implement the communiction protocol for Outlook.

	The error you show below are due to a wrong URL, therefor it can not
	create the correct XMl element.

I'm doing this with LDAP filters in the SOGo config. Notice the filter
attribute with the specific gidNumber. See below:

wohlfordcompany.com = {
  SOGoMailDomain = wohlfordcompany.com;

  type = ldap;

  CNFieldName = cn;
  IDFieldName = mail;
  UIDFieldName = mail;

  IMAPLoginFieldName = mail;
  baseDN = ou=users,dc=montgomery,dc=al;
  filter = (objectClass=posixAccount)(gidNumber=2015);
  bindAsCurrentUser = YES;
  hostname = localhost;
  port = 389;
  canAuthenticate = YES;
  isAddressBook = YES;
  displayName = Directory;

 I hope you will look into this. I think it will add a lot power to SOGo.

I also think that a skinnable Web UI would be a great idea. May be this

WebUI, some of them say that compared with Zimbra, SOGo is ugly. I see
the technical advantages of SOGo (Scalability, interoperability with our

Re: [SOGo] Skinable Web UI for SOGo ?

2012-06-18 Thread Aaron C Johnson
I agree that SOGo web interface should be skinable and could use some
visual improvements, but I actually think that compared to Zimbra and
other owa clones that SOGo is clean, fast and as a result it is easy to
figure out. The ability to make changes to colors, icons, and simple css
tweaks would be nice though in SOGo.

I think someone pointed me to sogosync so sync with outlook. That's

I also tried SOGo 2 a while ago but this is only for deployment in an
office enviroment or else use vpn. I was hoping for a hosted exchange
alternative. My users can be anywhere. They just register a domain and
can start adding mailboxes. VPN is not an option here, much to
complicated. SOGo2 works with MAPI but I now figured out I need
outlook anywhere to have random outlook clients connect from anywhere
they want.

SOGo v2.0rc3 which was released a few days ago supports the Outlook
Anywhere protocol.

Hello

However the certificate in the cas server is valid and recognized by any
browser and connection to server tested with openssl, also, the
certificate is installed in the dovecot server and configured in the
pam_cas.conf configuration file.

Is the cas server able to recognize the mail server certificate ?
The problem is that the imap server never starts the connection with the
cas server because don't recognize the certificate of the cas server
although I declare the certificate file of cas server in the pam_cas
configuration.

SOGo connects with CAS server and receive a ticket from CAS. All the
serves (SOGo, CAS, IMAP) share the same wildcard certificate for my
domain. CAS docummentation insist in the use of ssl in all connections.

Anyone knows if there is a alternative to pam_cas to authenticate a imap
server? The module is in the legacy section of CAS downloads. Since SOGo
supports CAS and this implies that the imap server should be casifyed,
the existence of a stable and maintained cas-auth mechanism for imap is
not just a little detail.

What are the logs on the cas side ?

Regards,

J.-M.

Anyone running SOGo+CAS+Dovecot?

Any clue is appreciated

Thanks

Federico

PS: Script cas-proxy-validate.py isn't in the sogo v. 1.3.16 package for
Debian. I think that such file should be in the /usr/share/doc/sogo dir;
I had to download it from the mtn repository

Re: [SOGo] Outlook Connector in latest ZEG not working

Le 12-06-14 09:17, Thorsten Meinl a écrit :

Hi,

We just downloaded the latest ZEG appliance in order to test the outlook
connector. However, we cannot get it to work. The reasons seems to be
that openchange is not running in the VM. If you try to start it by hand
the error KeyError 'cache_dir' along with some python stack traces
appears in the ocsmanager.log and the ocsmanager does not start. We
haven't changed anything in the configuration so this is probably an
error in the image?

Cheers,

Thorsten

Hi Thorsten,

This has been fixed in rc3. For rc2, you need to change some lines in
/etc/ocsmanager/ocsmanager.ini... in the file, you can see that there is
a section named app:main that ends with static_files = true. A bit
later there are a few lines. starting with cache_dir = xxx and ending
with app_instance_uuid. You should move those 4 lines right after
static_files in the app:main section and it will work.

[SOGo] iPhone Calendar doesnt see items created on the web interface

2012-06-18 Thread Daniel Colchete

Good day everyone!

I started working with SOGo a few weeks ago here on my company. I love
it! I love how it is modular, how it scales and I love where it is going
with 2.0. Right now I'm using 1.3.16.

I'm working with calendars fine. My users are using Thunderbird 13 with
Lightning, the Web Interface and the iPhone with iOS 5.1.1. Calendar
items created on the iPhone are shown everywhere, items created with
Thunderbird are shown everywhere (including on the iPhone), but calendar
items created on the web interface are shown only at Thunderbird and at
SOGo's web interface, but not on the iPhone.

Since the iPhone is creating calendar entries fine and it can see
everything I create on Thunderbird fine, I don't think it is an iPhone
config. issue. I set it to sync everything (not only the last 2 months).

How can I troubleshoot this? My guess is that the CalDAV entry created
on the web interface is missing something...

Thank you very much.

Best,
Daniel Colchete

Re: [SOGo] iPhone Calendar doesnt see items created on the web interface

2012-06-18 Thread Aaron C Johnson

Did you read the documentation?

On iOS 3.1.2 and later, you must also specify the range of events you
want to have.

From the Settings menu, choose Mail, Contacts, Calendars
From the Sync menu, choose All Events
_*Note that other options (Events 2 Weeks Back, etc.) do not work right
now.*_

Does this help?
