[SOGo] sogo and openchange with dovecot auth agains samba4 AD

2012-10-24 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi group

I am currently running a mail server on ubuntu 11.04 with postfix 2.8.5,
dovecot dovecot 2.0.13 and openldap 2.4.23. I have now read about sogo and
I am thinking about installing it because of it's native outlook support
capabilities.

The ZEG appliance wouldn't be an option for me because I use a virtual
server from a provider where I can't install my own vm or even an iso.

When I go thru the documentation there is a part with installing
OpenChange based on samba4. As far as I understood the OpenChange
authentication is against the samba4 AD. Actually there is no support in
syncing the AD against an OpenLdap Server and I would have to change the
OpenLdap port because the AD is listening on port 389. To change the port
wouldn't be a big deal, but what i was thinking about to run the dovecot
auth also against the samba 4 AD.

I searched around on the internet but didn't find a doc yet how to do that.

Does anyone here could provide me with a link or a how-to ?

Thanks very much in advance.

Mit freundlichem Gruß

Hi

Do you have a local dns server running with _ldap._tcp and _kerberos._udp
defined? I made also the experience that for the time I want to join the
domain I have to turn off the rpcproxy in the smb.conf file. Also when I
try to administrate the domain with the remote admin tools.

[SOGo] Expanding the openchange schema

2012-10-25 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi list

I am trying to set up a server with postfix, dovecot and openchange. I
managed to install the samba4 service and openchange. But there are still
two questions I didn't find a solution yet:

a.) When I create an openchange user I can't see him in the AD Ldap. Is
this correct or do I make a mistake?

b.) When I use the Windows Remote Administration Toolset I can
administrate the Samba4 AD in adding users and groups and so on. But when
I add a user there is only one field for the email address. Does anybody
know how to expand the schema so I can have more than one email address
per user like I have in MS Exchange. This is important to implement alias
functionality when using only the samba AD as userdb and authdb.

I would appreciate any help.

[SOGo] How to start openldap listening on another port than 389

2012-10-25 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi all

I don't know if I am the only one with this problem, but I didn't get
openldap listening on any other port than 389.

The plan is to run an samba4 ldap and an openldap server on the same
machine. Therefor I need openldap listening on any other port than 389. I
have tried to start slapd with the -h ldap://localhost:939 option but that
doesn't work. Still listens on port 389.

I am running ubuntu 12.04 and have no idea where to start.

Re: [SOGo] using samba4 as an AD along with openchange

2012-10-25 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi Deepak

It depends on what you wanna do. My purpose was to set up a mail server
with sogo and an openchange backend for outlook support.

That means that I don't have the need to adminstrate many computers. I
only need a few computers joining the domain so I can administrate users
with the remote administration tools. So for the time a computer wants to
join the domain I turned of the rpcproxy function and turn it on
afterwords.

If I want to administrate a large amount of PCs and users at the same time
I would setup another DC to use for computer and user administration
purposes.

have you tried ldap://127.0.0.1:939 instead or ldap://0.0.0.0:939?
man slapd tells "Hosts may be specified by name or IPv4 and IPv6 address
formats." so localhost might be OK.

check the ubuntu documentation or a corresponding list/forum.

Are you sure you changed the port at the right place where the start script
gets its settings from?
Did you check you setting made it to the process i.e. with the ps command?

Re: [SOGo] Re: New Samba4/OpenChange/Sogo tutorial

2013-03-14 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi All

First of all I want to thank Oliver for the great tutorial.

I followed it step by step and successfully installed a Samba4 Server and
OpenChange. After that I had no problems to join my domain with my Win8
PC. Everything worked fine. I installed the Win Admin Tools and had no
issues with adding users to the domain and also set them up as local
users.

DNS worked great, so I tried the next step. I installed SOGo and after
that nothing worked at all.

I allways get an error message:

"Naming information cannot be located because:
The RPC Server is unavailable. Contact your system administrators ..."

I tried to solve the problem by adding my server to the hosts file. But no
success.

Any ideas to solve this problem? I would provide logging information if I
only knew which.

Also I didn't get the link where to create the user for SOGo, openchange
and Samba4 if I don't want to use iGestis.

I would appreciate any hints.

I found out, that when I delete the openchange settings from the smb.conf

2013-03-14 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi all

I tried to narrow down the problem a bit.

Whenever I start the Apache Web Server the RPC Error comes up. I am then
neither able to connect to the AD Managment nor I am able to connect via
Outlook.

But I also need help on another topic.
I am now able to connect to the OpenChange Server using outlook. But what
I don't understand where do I get the link to my mailboxes. Let's say for
example I want to use postfix and dovecot where do I tell the system which
email server to use and how to get the email into the OpenChange server.

Any help appreciated.

Hi all

I think I am very Close.

I've got openchange running, samba4, sogo but didn't manage to logon.

I always got the following error message:

Mar 14 17:12:07 sogod [1515]: <0x0x7f7a8444d420[LDAPSource]> NAME:LDAPException REASON:operation bind failed: Invalid

I have no idea what it is meant with Password policy: 65535. I have
checked on the LDAP query. The path cn=cdelellis,cn=users,dc=1blu,dc=de is
correct. I checked that using Ldp on my Windows machine. So could anyone
please tell me where the misconfiguration is and what to do.

Thankx in advance.

[SOGo] Openchange and Outlook

2013-06-25 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis

Hi all

I am not sure if this is the right forum, but i give it a try. My
problem is more in regards to openchange.

The backend is an ubuntu 12.04 server with a Samba, openchange, sogo
installation followed the manual from

http://iabsis.com/EN/article/35/Installation-de-Samba4-et-Openchange-sur-un-serveur-Debian-ou-Ubuntu
[1]

I don't want to use the igestis tool, so I created a Samba4 user, an
openchange user and provided this user with a mailbox.

On my notebook I have Win8 64 bit with outlook 2013 installed. Whenever
I try to connect to the openchange server it doesn't work. The weird
thing is, that when I try rpc in the webbrowser as described in the
manual it only works with Netscape but not with IE.

I have no idea what went wrong, that is the reason why I don't post any
configs or logs, because I have no idea where to look at.

I would appreciate any hint.

Regards,

Carsten

Hi Ludovic

That's what I thought first, but why does rpc over http works on firefox
but not on IE?

I am sure, when I can find an answer to that question I will find a

Re: [SOGo] Openchange and Outlook

2013-06-25 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis

Ludovic you surely know the tutorial written by Olivier Bitsch on the
iabsis website. There is a chapter using RPC to connect outlook to the
openchange server. IT is like the Exchange Anywhere function from the
Exchange server. I am not talking about accessing SOGo's web interface.

To call http://server.ip/rpc/rpcproxy.dll [5] is meant to test the rpc
proxy functionality. And as I already said, when connecting with firefox
everything worked but IE fails all the times.

Re: [SOGo] SOGo, Openchange and Outlook

2013-06-25 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis

Hi all

As I said in my former posts I have installed SOGo, Openchange and Samba
following the tutorial by Olivier Bitsch.

I am actually running into two Problems, but first things first.

I have succeded to install Samba4. Can connect with my PC and joined the
Domain. So far so good. Next imap and smtp are working. At least I can
see the relevant ports are listening.

Now my Problems:

When I try to login on SOGo I got a blank Screen with Error HTTP 404
Page not found.

The sogo log has the following entries:

Jun 26 08:44:49 sogod [12311]: SOGoRootPage successful login from

The next problem is, when I try to connect via Outlook I got the error
message in the attached screen shot:

No logs, because I have no idea where to look at.

I would appreciate any help.

Thankx in advance.

[SOGo] Sogo login

2013-06-26 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis

Hi All

@Ludovic: After a fresh install I can connect to OpenChange/Sogo with
Outlook (and for me Outlook 2013 works).

But now I have problems to log on into SOGo.

I found the following entry in the sogo.log file

Jun 26 15:36:24 sogod [11519]: <0x0x7f871e447940[LDAPSource]>

I don't know what that exactly means and therefor what to do now.

My GnuStep config is pretty simple at the Moment, because I am building
the System step by step and don't have Setup postfix and dovecot now. So
my GNUstep user config looks like follows.

[SOGo] ocsmanager

2013-06-28 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis

Hi all

I am gone thru the Installation Manual and searched the web, but didn't
find a how-to to Setup ocsmanager.

I have installed openchange and can connect to the openchange Server
with Outlook and can Access Sogo, but I haven't find an Installation
Manual for the ocsmanager. As far as I understood I Need the
funcitonality for free/busy lookups.

So I would appreciate if anyone could help me out here.

Nice Weekend to all.

[SOGo] Problems logging on to SOGo webinterface

2010-09-08 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Dear all

After i had luckily managed to access the webinterface with support from
this list i ran into another problem.

To be honest i am not a LDAP guru, not an expirienced user at all.

When i try to log on to the web interface i got an error message.
object not found: SOGo => cdelellis

When i check the sogo log i got the following error message:

But when i run the following command:
ldapsearch -xLLL -b "dc=delellis,dc=lan" uid=cdelellis sn givenName cn

i got this result:
dn: uid=cdelellis,ou=users,dc=delellis,dc=lan
cn: Carsten Laun-De Lellis
sn: Laun-De Lellis
givenName: Carsten

And when i ran
ldapsearch -xLLL -b "dc=delellis,dc=lan" uid=sogo sn givenName cn

i got:
dn: uid=sogo,ou=users,dc=delellis,dc=lan
cn: SOGo Administrator
sn: Administrator
givenName: SOGo

So has anyone an idea where to look at.

I would appreciate any help and hints.

Re: [SOGo] Problems logging on to SOGo webinterface

2010-09-08 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Thank you very much for your response Jeremy.

But before i give it a try there are some basics i want to understand.

In the log file i find the following entry:
'uid=cdelellis,ou=users,dc=delellis,dc=delellis' might not have

I have no idea why SOGo makes a lookup to dc=delellis,dc=delellis. From my
understanding it has to be dc=delellis,dc=lan, becaus in my
.GNUstepDefaults the line looks like

CNFieldName
cn
IDFieldName
uid
IMAPHostFieldName
mailHost
UIDFieldName
uid
baseDN
ou=users,dc=delellis,dc=lan
bindDN
uid=sogo,ou=users,dc=delellis,dc=lan
bindPassword
sogo
canAuthenticate
YES
displayName
<the human identification name of the address
book>

Am i wrong ?

[SOGo] Can't login into webinterface

2010-09-08 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi all

I still have problems logging into the webinterface:

Whenever i try to login i got an error message "wrong user or password":

The sogo log file shows:
2010-09-09 00:45:09.256 sogod[18905] Scanner initialised with nil string
Sep 09 00:45:09 sogod: SOGo watchdog [18905]: SOGoRootPage Login for
user 'sogo' might not have worked - password policy: 65535 grace: -1
expire: -1 bound: 0
127.0.0.1 - - [09/Sep/2010:00:45:09 GMT] "POST /SOGo/connect HTTP/1.1"
403 34/38 0.008 - - 0

I tried to logon to the ldap server via phpldapadmin using the user
"sogo" credential and it worked.

I set "passwordPolicy NO" in my GNUstepDefaults. Has anyone an idea,
what's wrong ?

If it is helpful i can also post the complete GNUstepDefaults file.

[SOGo] Display of all users in the addressbook

2010-09-09 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi all

After i managed to log into SOGo i do have question regarding the display
of the users from the ldap addressbook.

In my .GNUstepDefaults i use ldap for user informations.

CNFieldName
cn
IDFieldName
uid
IMAPHostFieldName
mailHost
UIDFieldName
uid
baseDN
ou=users,dc=delellis,dc=lan
bindDN
cn=manager,dc=delellis,dc=lan
bindPassword
sandra22
canAuthenticate
YES
displayName
<Unternehmensadressbuch>
hostname
localhost
id
public
isAddressBook
YES
port
389

When i am in the webinterface using the ldap addressbook for user search
it works fine. Whenever i start typing in the user name it displays all
possibilities.

But i wander if it possible to display all users when accessing the ldap
addressbook and to scroll up and down and select users by clicking on
them?

I would appreciate any help.

Re: [SOGo] Problems with Funambol installation

2010-09-09 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi Dominique

After i put in the komma everything worked fine. I didn't ran into any
more problems. Just for your information. I am running SOGo on my laptop
for test purposes. It is an ubuntu-10.04 x86 installation. I followed the
Documentation on the website
http://www.sogo.nu/file/docs/SOGo%20Installation%20Guide.pdf

After your help everyting went well. I am now trying to configure funambol
to connect to my iphone.

Wish you luck.

Maybe it is interresting for you which modules i used:

collections-current.tar.gz
commons-configuration-current.tar.gz
commons-lang-current.tar.gz
commons-logging-current-bin.tar.gz
funambol-8.7.0.bin
funambol-sogo-1.0.8.s4j
json_simple-1.1.jar
postgresql-8.4-702.jdbc4.jar

Maybe this will help you a little bit.

[SOGo] Problems with authenticating via mysql

2010-09-14 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi folks

Did anyone manage to authenticate via MySQL backend.

I followed the documentation but gut an error message:

defaults write SOGoUserSources '({type = sql;id = directory;viewURL =
"mysql://mail:m...@localhost:3306/mail/sogo_view";canAuthenticate =
YES;isAddressBook = YES;userPasswordAlgorithm = none;})'
2010-09-14 23:18:18.450 defaults[22753] File NSDictionary.m: 628. In
-[NSDictionary initWithContentsOfFile:] Contents of file
'/home/sogo/GNUstep/Defaults/.GNUstepDefaults' does not contain a dictionary
defaults write: domain is not a dictionary!

I have no idea what is wrong with my syntax.

The view i am referring to "sogo_view" looks like:

select concat(`virtual_users`.`user`,'@',`virtual_domains`.`name`) AS
`c_uid`,concat(`virtual_users`.`user`,'@',`virtual_domains`.`name`) AS
`c_name`,`virtual_users`.`password` AS
`c_password`,concat(`virtual_users`.`sn`,'
',`virtual_users`.`givenName`) AS
`c_cn`,concat(`virtual_users`.`user`,'@',`virtual_domains`.`name`) AS
`mail`,`virtual_users`.`department` AS
`department`,`virtual_users`.`pphone` AS `telephoneNumber` from
(`virtual_users` left join `virtual_domains`
on((`virtual_users`.`domain_id` = `virtual_domains`.`id`)))

Any ideas ?

[SOGo] Problems with authenticating against mysql

2010-09-15 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi all

After typing in the right command i got another error message:

defaults write sogod SOGoUserSources '({type = sql;id = directory;viewURL
= "mysql://mail:m...@localhost:3306/mail/sogo_view";canAuthenticate =
YES;isAddressBook = YES;userPasswordAlgorithm = none;})'
2010-09-15 10:57:09.652 defaults[10740] Creating empty user defaults database
2010-09-15 10:57:09.687 defaults[10740] File NSData.m: 1576. In -[NSData
writeToFile:options:error:] Unable to correctly set all attributes for
'/home/sogo/GNUstep/Defaults/.GNUstepDefaults'

I don't know where i have the mistake.

I have created a database "mail" and a view with all identifiers mentioned
in the documentation (c_uid, c_user, mail,...) and added some information
to the database.

I created a user "mail" with all rights on the database.

There are two questions i don't understand:

- Does sogo write into the database
- What excactly does id mean

I would appreciate any help.

Re: [SOGo] Problems with authenticating against mysql

2010-09-15 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi Martin

Thank you very much. The id=database, does the trick.

Yes the passwords are stored in plain text. I don't see any advantage in
storing them in md5 format.

Access is only allowed from local machine. From my point of view it is
much more important to secure the access either via web or directly via
any sort of client.

But again. Thank you very much for your help.

[SOGo] MISMATCH: different db ..

2010-09-15 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi all

I am using now sql Auth, as you can read in my earlier questions.

I can log on, with no problem, but when i try to add a new contact,
nothing happens and i have the following entries in my log file.

Sep 15 12:55:57 sogod: SOGo watchdog [18693]:
<0x0xaff5100[GCSChannelHandle]> MISMATCH: different db ..
127.0.0.1 - - [15/Sep/2010:12:55:57 GMT] "GET
/SOGo/so/carsten.delel...@delellis.lan/Contacts/new_list?popup=YES
HTTP/1.1" 404 208/0 0.016 - - 0

I have searched former threads and i found something similiar. In one post
Ludovic mentioned to just ignore the message, but i can't add any
addressbook entries.

When i checked out the tables on the mysql server i found the following
entries in sogo_folder_info:

see attachement:

But when i check the referenced tables:

sogocarstend00159681f74 for example.

These tables are empty.

Any suggestions ?

[SOGo] Problems with authentication

2011-01-13 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi all

I installed sogo new but ran into a problem while logging on to the server:

I cannot login because of the following error message: “wrong user or
password”

When I look into the log I can see this:

Jan 13 17:34:47 sogod [24372]: [ERROR] <0x0x15ea14d0[SOGoUserManager]> No
authentication sources defined - nobody will be able to login. Check your
defaults.

Jan 13 17:34:47 sogod [24372]: SOGoRootPage Login for user
'carsten.delellis' might not have worked - password policy: 65535 grace: -1
expire: -1 bound: 0

34/56 0.070 - - 1M

Telling me that no authentication sources defined. But as you can see in my
attached GnuStepDefaults File there is a database scheme defined as
authentication source.

Any ideas ?

Hi Basti, hi Ludovic

Thank you for your hints. After I wrote the first email I found the

Hi Ludovic

I defined now the mail column, but no change.

[SOGo] SOGo and openchange installation problem

2011-01-20 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi

Has anyone experience in setting up sogo with openchange ?

If so I have an installation problem and I don’t know how to fix it.

I followed the how-tos on the openchange website:

HowTo_Install_OpenChange_From_Source

HowTo_Setup_SOGo_with_OpenChange_Server

Everything worked fine and exactly how it is described in the how-tos until
it came to the OpenChange SOGo connector.

I can’t find a directory ~/SOGo/OpenChange.

Any ideas ?

Mit freundlichem Gruß

It's part of SOGo's source repository :

Hi

I am still trying to install the OpenChange connector. Though after the hint

file in there. Nor on my server and also not in SOGo's source repository.

Has anybody already set up the OpenChange connector and could help me out?

2011-01-25 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
I have checked the OpenChange site and found an entry in one forum that
mentioned, that there is no configure, but to try make instead.

When I tried make I ran into the following error messages:

You must compile the bundle as you compile SOGo. So you probably forgot to
source your GNUstep.sh. You'll also need to set the variable
PKG_CONFIG_PATH. You should add something like that to your .bashrc:

samba=/usr/local/samba
export PATH=${samba}/bin:${samba}/sbin:$PATH
export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=${samba}/lib/pkgconfig

source /usr/share/GNUstep/Makefiles/GNUstep.sh

Re: [SOGo] SOGo and openchange installation problem

2011-01-25 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi

I’ve gone thru the installation process once more and I seem to be a step
further.

The only error message I actually get is:

This is gnustep-make 2.2.0. Type 'make print-gnustep-make-help' for help.

Package libmapistore was not found in the pkg-config search path.

Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libmapistore.pc'

to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable

No package 'libmapistore' found

Cannot build the OpenChange SOGo backend (empty CFLAGS for libmapistore)

The output of locate libmapistore.pc is

/usr/local/samba/lib/pkgconfig/libmapistore.pc

And I also have an entry in my .bashrc file:

samba=/usr/local/samba

export PATH=${samba}/bin:${samba}/sbin:$PATH

export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=${samba}/lib/pkgconfig

source /usr/share/GNUstep/Makefiles/GNUstep.sh

So I don’t have any idea where to look at.

[SOGo] OpenChange

2011-01-27 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi

Is there anyone who had successfully installed OpenChange and SOGo ? If so,
i would appreciate the input on tricks and everything that is not part of
the how-tos on the OpenChange website.

Example:

For me it not clear if the openldap server needs to be set up and/or
running. Do i need to update the schemas manually. And if yes, how? Do i
need to have my own dns server running. Or what are the requirements for the
dns server i am using? That part that is discribed in the how-to "How to
install OpenChange from source" is straightforward, but the configuration is
hard to understand what exactly to do. Or maybe did in misunderstood
something and the OpenChange must not be configured befor installing and
configuring SOGo ?

I would appreciate any comments.

Hi all

I am still trying to install openchange and sogo

I followed the how-tos from the openchange site and installed and set up an
openchange server. I assume that everything is running ok, because the
output during installation was as described in the manuals and I can see
samba listening on port 139 and several samba processes running.

I tried now to install the openchange connector, but that didn’t work.

I got the following output and have no idea what to do. Any ideas ?

AW: [SOGo] WG: sogo and openchange

2011-02-08 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi Wolfgang

Thank you very much for your reply. I would love to go with the ZEG, but I
am using a server at a hosting provider. This is pretty cheap with a very
good performance, but it is a virtual machine and therefor I don't have the
choice to use a virtual machine. It is not a big issue for me to have no
openchange yet. I will wait and if the project will make progress I am sure
there will be a new documentation.

But again many thanks. Not only for replying to my request, but to you and
all the other guys, that are working on OpenSource projects, who give me the
chance to have reliable, secure software.

Hi Carsten,

The setup instructions for OpenChange/SOGo are outdated and should be
ignored. Since the software distribution is likely to change again soon, we
will not update them. So I would recommend you to use our OpenChange ZEG
instead.

Cheers,

Hi Martin

Thank you for your reply. But maybe I was not clear about my question. I

just read a website I have to log in new, because SOGo logged me out. I want
to extend the time before automatically logged out.

Looked for it, didn't find one.

Maybe this will run:
- Create a cronjob

- the job looks every minute into table "sogo_sessions_folder" and
   checks the field/s c_creationdate and/or c_lastseen

- when to old - delete the entry,
which will log you off when you try to, I think (isn't it?)

[SOGo] start with no email account

2011-03-09 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi all

When i logon to sogo for the first time, there is always an imap account
and the smtp account is not configurable at all.

SMTP is not a big issue for me at the moment, but i wonder if it is
possible with starting sogo with no imap account and let the user
configure all imap accounts?

I would appreciate any hints.

Inverse is proud to announce the seventh downloadable version of SOGo
ZEG with native Microsoft Outlook compatibility.

The virtual appliance consists of the latest development version of
SOGo, SOPE and OpenChange, properly installed and configured. Note that
the native Microsoft Outlook compatibility is still *considered as
experimental*. The fundamentals have been developed and the progress
towards an end-user usable version will be fast from now on.

Nonetheless, we release this "Technology Preview" ZEG edition to show
	how promising this is.

	== Getting it ==

To download ZEG "Technology Preview", simply point your browser to
	http://www.sogo.nu/english/downloads/zeg.html

Look for "Virtual Appliance - Native Outlook Compatibility".

For configuration instructions, look at the following FAQ:
	http://www.sogo.nu/english/nc/support/faq/article/how-to-configure-outlook-to-work-with-openchange.html

	== Changes ==

Here is a list of changes performed by the Inverse team since TP6 was
	released :

	* Added notifications support, meaning that views will now be
refreshed as soon as an element is created, modified or deleted
	* Added support for multiple users (see below for instructions)
	* Various other small bug fixes and minor improvements

	== Upcoming improvements ==

The follow improvements will occur in the next following days, likely
	resulting in a TP8 :

	* Integrate the mapistore_v2 work which will allow us to support all
SOGo user folders and all SOGo users easily (making freebusy lookup for
	other users more easy)
	* Initial recurrence support for events and tasks

Some bug fixes or improvements need to be added in OpenChange to make
the solution even more usable and we are working with them to :

	* Reminder issues which can cause Outlook to disconnect momentarily

Those will be added once the mapistore_v2 transition is completed.

	== Installation / Update ==

Both SOGo and SOPE were installed from the Monotone repository while
OpenChange was installed using the "sogo" branch from their official
	Subversion server.
To update those components on ZEG from TP4, simply sudo as root. Then
	run the following script :

	/home/sogo/update.sh

You might want to restart Outlook after the update.

== Adding users to an existing environments ==

This is a two-step process because SOGo and Samba/OpenChange do not
share the same user database. First of all, you need to add your users
to your LDAP database, exactly as documented in the SOGo Installation
	guide (http://www.sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGo%20Installation%20Guide.pdf).
Afterwards, you need to replicate those accounts to the Samba database
and populate their OpenChange profile using the 3 following commands:

	samba-tool newuser [username] [password]
	./setup/openchange_newuser --create [username]
	./setup/openchange_newuser --mailbox [username]

It is easier to setup accounts having their username set as password. If
you prefer not, you will need to edit /usr/local/samba/private with
"ldbedit -H". From there, you should replace the occurrences of
	"sogo://[username]:[username]@" with "sogo://[username]:[password]@".
Since ldbedit makes use of vi, you can simply issue the following
sequence: ":%s/:[username]@/:[password]@/g". Please note that brackets
are used here as parameter delimiters...

This is temporary and everything will be much more simpler once the
	migration towards mapistore_v2 is completed.

	== Helping Out ==

There are many ways you can help us. You can:

	* Spread the good word about this technology preview!
	* Follow our development in the users@sogo.nu mailing list and update
	regularly the components mentioned above
	* Contact us if you want to sponsor specific features with regard to
	Outlook / SOGo compatibility

	Thanks,

Re: [SOGo] Address Book

2011-04-14 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis

	Hi Sven

Thank you for your advice. Maybe I will try another way and implement the administration via a web frontend in sql.

Is there a way to connect to an ldap server address book? Not in the global configuration but to subscribe for every single user by its own ?

But still there is the open topic, how to change the colum names and data in SOGo web interface. Has anybody ideas to share with me?

	Regards,

	Carsten

	Hi Carsten,

so far I now, the global address book is read only by design. If you
like to have a real "Global Address Book", setup a shared account and
share that address book to all users.

Re: [SOGo] Problem with mailstore SOGo.

2011-04-14 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis

	Hi Jesus

Did you doublecheck your imap settings. Do the users need to logon with their email addresses instead of user account. Do you use tls or ssl ?

These are the first settings I would look into.

[SOGo] contact categories

2011-04-14 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis

	Hi

I went thru the manual and found a parameter "SOGoContactsCategories" that is used to define the categories that can be associated to contacts.

Has anyone an example how a list could look like ? How do you match it to the fields of the database or ldap directory ?

	Any help appreciated.

You should adjust the Wiki with those instructions for Fedore Core 15 (and
perhaps, RHEL vX).
