[SOGo] migrating Exchange 2007 to SOGo

2014-02-12 Thread Darko Hojnik
Hi there

My Company decides within the next days about a new solution for groupware. I
am fighting for SOGo :) Currently we have MS$ Exchange 2007 with an large
Calendar and an Adressbook for the whole company. My people I’ve suggested to
switch from Outlook 2010 and 2011 (Mac) to Thunderbird. Only a few people like
the Managers should still use Outlook 2010.
I hope I am right here to get some suggestions about an Migration from
Exchange 2007 to SOGo.

For migrating the Mails from exchange to an Imapserver like Dbmail or Dovecot
what would be the best way? imapsync?
Currently I have no clue to migrate the calendar and the addressbook to SOGo.
An export from client site and import to SOGo would violate against the policy
of my company. What would be best practice to get an solution?

Cheers Darko

Thank you for the hint

defaults write sogod SOGoMemcachedHost = 127.0.0.1

That was wrong from me.

I've corrected it to

defaults write sogod SOGoMemcachedHost 127.0.0.1

Now it works :)

[SOGo] Question about MailFieldNames for LDAP

2012-03-27 Thread Darko Hojnik
Hi there

I want tell SOGo the fields for mailadresses and alternative
mailadresses. In the Docomentation I've read that I should choose
MailFieldNames for that. Could someone describe me the use of the
SOGoUserSources MailFieldNames and give me an example?

Without MailFieldNames

defaults write sogod SOGoUserSources '({CNFieldName = cn; IDFieldName =
cn; UIDFieldName = mail; baseDN = ou=people,dc=hell; bindDN =
cn=manager; bindPassword = freebsd; canAuthenticate = YES; displayName
= ldap; hostname = localhost; bindFields = mail; id = ldap;
port=389})'

I want use the attributes gosamailalternateaddress and mail on my LDAP
Tree

Darko

[SOGo] SOGo and IPv6

2011-10-14 Thread Darko Hojnik
Hi there

I didn't tryed it, but it is possible to run SOGo on a IPv6 only
network? It would be nice for me if I could access my LDAP and
PostgreSQL Server on different boxes over IPv6

Im using FreeBSD 8 stable, PostgreSQL 9.1, OpenLDAP 2.4.26, SOGo 1.3.8b

best regards
Darko

[SOGo] Bug Compiling with LDAP Support fails

2011-10-10 Thread Darko Hojnik
Hi there,

I've tryed to compile SOGo with the latest stable and with the two beta.
My OS is FreeBSD 8 stable, PostgreSQL 9.1, OpenLDAP 2.4.26 for bindings
and as Client, GnuSTEP 1.19.3. As Mailsystem I'm using Postfix and
DBmail 3 RC3 over a PostgreSQL Database with Apache DS as LDAP Server.
Mails are stored in a large PostgreSQL Database and users comes from an
LDAP tree

I could successful compile SOPE 1.3.8b and 2.0 BETA without any Error
Without suport for LDAP I could compile SOGo 1.3.8b and 2.0.0b1 without
any Error. Only SOPE warns me about that it couldn't find mysqlclient.
But thats OK. nothing about MySQL is installed here and needed.

But if I try it with LDAP my build breaks

[root@web /var/sogo/SOGo]# ./configure --enable-ldap-config

I've found the combination of Webmin/Virtualmin to be fantastic. What I
like most about Webmin compared to other control panels, is that it
actually comprehends config files. One can make an edit directly with
the config file or through Webmin and nothing is messed up. Other
control panels such as cpanel and plesk force you to only do edits
through their control panels.

Webmin/Virtualmin can handle users and groups in OpenLDAP. From there
you should be good to go. This is how I manage my clients.

Best Regards,
Jason

Hello Jason

Thanks for your respond! I've taken a look on it. But it breaks our
security policy. It's not a real secure solution because everybody could
get your server between some seconds. In a intranet maybe OK. Bot not on a
larger box directly connected to the internet. I'm looking for another
again

I use GOsa for this. It is a fine web base ldap administration stuff
with mail storage config (so for cyrus only afaik) and is able to handle
samba, dns, ...

Hello Martin

I've taken a look on it. But how do you handle ACL about domains? For
example they are two company's called foo and bar with the domains foo.tld
and bar.tld. The manager of company foo is allowed to creates mailadresses
with @foo.tld but it should disallowed for him to create an address with
@bar.tld. I didn't found a setting to adjust a proper ACL about this.

Re: [SOGo] SOGo on Debian/ARM + Funambol

2011-06-06 Thread Darko Hojnik

Hello Dominique,

At first you could take the OpenJDK only. You should try compile Funambol
with the OpenJDK and maybe you have to change something on the sources. On
PPC you could get IBM Java only.
You could compile Funambol with the OpenJDK on any platform. I do the same
with my Javastuff to get it proper running with the OpenJDK.

Hi,

Since the bug thread is closed - with the issue resolved, I'll answer
'wsourdeau' here.
I am running Debian Squeeze on a reformated QNAP TS 109 (Orion ARM) with
128 MB of memory.
SOGo is configured with MySQL and since I'm running it for a small
number of user it should do fine.

A nice .deb package with a full install would be nice for future
upgrades - and future users.

Now the challenge is to setup Funambol to get the full service. So if
anyone has experience in installing with success Funambol on such a
small CPU, I'm willing to listen. So far, I have problems with
installing Sun JAVA.

Hi there,

Currently we are using Postfix and DBmail with an LDAP backend. SOGo

we want do it without a LDAP Server.
So I've got an testinstallation with Apache James 3 Milsestone3

The Database,

james= SELECT column_name FROM information_schema.columns WHERE
table_name = 'james_user';

  column_name

user_name
password_hash_algorithm
password

(4 Zeilen)

james=

Now I'm asking me is that the correct Syntax for SOGoUserSources to
authenticate against the database from Apache James?

SOGoUserSources =
(
{
type = sql;
id = directory;
viewURL = postgresql://james:james@192.168.0.60:5432/james/james_user;
canAuthenticate = YES;
isAddressBook = NO;
userPasswordAlgorithm = md5;
}
);

thanks for help and suggestions

You have to pass the fields from the db to sogo specifically, as
detailed in the documentation (for example name should be c_name). You
can achieve this with a view in your db that sogo can call.

Hello Mark,

After I've taken a look in the manual again, I'm a little bit confused

correct. It's possible to write me an example for viewURL and c_name?
