[SOGo] migrating Exchange 2007 to SOGo
Hi there My Company decides within the next days about a new solution for groupware. I am fighting for SOGo :) Currently we have MS$ Exchange 2007 with an large Calendar and an Adressbook for the whole company. My people I’ve suggested to switch from Outlook 2010 and 2011 (Mac) to Thunderbird. Only a few people like the Managers should still use Outlook 2010. I hope I am right here to get some suggestions about an Migration from Exchange 2007 to SOGo. For migrating the Mails from exchange to an Imapserver like Dbmail or Dovecot what would be the best way? imapsync? Currently I have no clue to migrate the calendar and the addressbook to SOGo. An export from client site and import to SOGo would violate against the policy of my company. What would be best practice to get an solution? Anyone here who could suggest me something like this what is already present and OpenSource licensed? I've found the combination of Webmin/Virtualmin to be fantastic. What I like most about Webmin compared to other control panels, is that it actually comprehends config files. One can make an edit directly with the config file or through Webmin and nothing is messed up. Other control panels such as cpanel and plesk force you to only do edits through their control panels. Webmin/Virtualmin can handle users and groups in OpenLDAP. From there you should be good to go. This is how I manage my clients. Best Regards, Jason Hello Jason Thanks for your respond! I've taken a look on it. But it breaks our security policy. It's not a real secure solution because everybody could get your server between some seconds. In a intranet maybe OK. Bot not on a larger box directly connected to the internet. I'm looking for another again cheers Darko -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

Martin best regards Darko Hello Martin I've taken a look on it. But how do you handle ACL about domains? For example they are two company's called foo and bar with the domains foo.tld and bar.tld. The manager of company foo is allowed to creates mailadresses with @foo.tld but it should disallowed for him to create an address with @bar.tld. I didn't found a setting to adjust a proper ACL about this. cheers Darko -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

Re: [SOGo] SOGo on Debian/ARM + Funambol
Hello Dominique, At first you could take the OpenJDK only. You should try compile Funambol with the OpenJDK and maybe you have to change something on the sources. On PPC you could get IBM Java only. You could compile Funambol with the OpenJDK on any platform. I do the same with my Javastuff to get it proper running with the OpenJDK. best regards Darko Hojnik Am 06.06.2011, 17:55 Uhr, schrieb Dominique dco...@hotmail.com: Hi, Since the bug thread is closed - with the issue resolved, I'll answer 'wsourdeau' here. I am running Debian Squeeze on a reformated QNAP TS 109 (Orion ARM) with 128 MB of memory. SOGo is configured with MySQL and since I'm running it for a small number of user it should do fine. A nice .deb package with a full install would be nice for future upgrades - and future users. Now the challenge is to setup Funambol to get the full service. So if anyone has experience in installing with success Funambol on such a small CPU, I'm willing to listen. So far, I have problems with installing Sun JAVA. You can achieve this with a view in your db that sogo can call. best regards Darko Hojnik -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists Hello Mark, After I've taken a look in the manual again, I'm a little bit confused because I didn't understand it.So I'm not shore how I have to write it correct.
