RE: What are the merits and risks of putting iTunes Media Folder on a USB Hard Drive?

2015-07-16 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Keith,

I think a comprehensive answer to your question can best be discussed via
telephone as the answer will very much depend upon your level of comfort with
network drives, file paths, the current configuration of your iTunes Library,
etc.

I have my entire iTunes Library located on a network drive. Not only does this
allow me to access the same Library from multiple computers but also the
ability to sync my iOS devices with any of my PCs/Macs currently accessing the
Library. Finally, the ability to quickly backup my entire iTunes Library
without tying up any one computer is another advantage of a network-drive based
iTunes Library.

All things being equal and assuming that you have a basic understanding of how
the Windows file system works and know the difference between relative and
absolute file references, moving your entire Library to an external USB drive
is relatively uncomplicated.

Subject: What are the merits and risks of putting iTunes Media Folder on a USB

HI,

I'm quickly running out of space on my PC's hard drive, and an encrypted iphone
backup tonight was limited by hard disk space.

I have a 2 TB My Passport that's not being used, and I'm thinking about putting
my iTuens Media Folder on that.

The only time I use my iTunes on my PC is for backup purposes.

What are the merits and risks of putting the iTunes Media folder on an external
hard drive?

Any advice on how to best do this, if at all, would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Keith

Heart Rate Monitors and other health/fitness stuff

2015-07-16 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi,

Just wanted some opinions from anybody who uses a heart rate monitor for
running/working out like which brand/model do you have and which apps do you
use it with.

I am considering the Polar H7 or Wahoo Tickr or Wahoo Tickr Run. Both have
their own apps but also work with over 50 third-party apps including
Runkeeper and Runtastic. In addition to hardware feedback on the actual HRM
I am interested to hear about accessibility of the various apps people use.

Also, I am interested in the same information regarding wireless blood
pressure monitors and body scales.

Best regards,

Sieghard

Re: Best iTunes settings for importing songs from CD (was iTunes Match & "Bit Rate is less than 256kbps")

2015-07-16 Thread Gary Petraccaro
Yeah, but not everything one imports is a "song". I'm currently ripping a load
of old-time radio and since it's mono and my main concern is simply to keep
what I've got going in, 128 mono does fine. If I ever do music, I will go
higher in the settings and, as long as I'm playing solely on Apple devices,
I'll use lossless.

Subject: Best iTunes settings for importing songs from CD (was iTunes Match &
"Bit Rate is less than 256kbps")

I found the answer to my question in the article below- I have always used
the lossless setting for importing, but did not realize how good it really is.
So my imported CDs really ARE better than songs I purchase from Apple.

  Cher

Best iTunes settings for importing songs from CD

Importing songs into iTunes is easy – you just INSERT the CD, SELECT it in
iTunes, and press the ‘Import’ button!

But… the default setting on iTunes is not the best setting to use when
importing songs. It’s far better to use the ‘Apple Lossless’ setting which will
keep your music at CD quality. If you must compress the music (e.g. you want to
fit it on your iPod or a laptop) then use the bitrate of 320kbps rather than
the default 128kbps of iTunes.

This article describes how to import songs into iTunes with the better
quality bitrate.

  Introduction

If you go to the ‘iTunes:Preferences’ menu and click on ‘Advanced’ then
‘Importing’ you will see some options like ‘Import Using’ and ‘Setting’.

  This raises a few questions.

  1. Why does Apple allow me to use different formats like AAC and MP3? Which
one is better?

  2. How good is the default setting of 128kbps (high quality) (See picture
below – click to enlarge).

  Ituens prefs

Unfortunately I assumed the defaults were the best, so I used the built in
defaults in iTunes to import my entire CD collection. But if you listen
carefully to your iPod through your stereo, and compare it to a CD, you will
hear a significant difference in audio quality at 128kbps.

It’s not that listening at 128kbps sounds really bad, but if you compare it
to the original, you will notice that it’s different. It’s not as clear and
some details are missing.

  Best Bit-rate for compressed audio – 320kbps.

If you want better quality music you should use a higher bitrate than
128kbps. When Apple first launched iTunes the songs on the store were encoded
at 128kbps, but from 2010 even Apple now use 256kbps on the iTunes store which
is an immense improvement. The difference between Apple’s upgrade of 128kbps
and 256kbps is very noticeable and it is worth upgrading all your existing
iTunes purchases, but 256kbps is not as good as 320kbps though, so if you have
a CD I recommend importing at 320kbps if you choose to import as AAC.

  Better still: Apple Lossless

When this article was first written in 2008 I suggested 320kbps AAC as the
best setting. There have been significant increases in hard drive size in that
time and hard drives are now large enough to easily cope with the size of Apple
Lossless files. I now suggest you use Apple Lossless Encoder for all importing
of songs from CD. It gives the best possible quality.

I now recommend the Apple Lossless Encoder as the best way to import your CDs
for general use. (I’ve written about it here.) It compresses an audio file
without any deterioration in audio quality at all.

So why does iTunes allow lower settings? Well, a lower setting will give a
smaller file, so in the days of small iPods and small hard drives it was
necessary to have very small music files. But if you want good quality sound
it’s better to go with a higher setting.

  The best of both worlds

If you do have one particular iPod or iPhone that is a bit small and you
don’t want to fill it up with Apple lossless files, there is a setting that
you can set independently for each iPod that will reduce the file size just for
that iPod. You can change the settings for a particular iPod to put lower
quality files on it to save space, but still have the Apple lossless files on
your computer . Just tick the ‘Convert higher bit rate songs’ box. You can find
it under the settings tab that appears when you plug the iPod in – it is the
bottom box in the picture below. This can be turned on or off independently
for each device that you have.

What are the differences in filesize?

A 3 minute song at 128kbps will use approx 3MB. (poor quality)

A 3 minute song at 320 kbps will use approx 7MB. (excellent quality)

A 3 minute song at Apple Lossless will use approx 15MB. (perfect quality)

  Error Correction

There is an option that says ‘Use error correction when reading audio CDs’.
You should always have this option ticked. It will i

It also really messes up the file names. Also, it creates folders for
artists and sub folders for albums. They are also truncated.

Hi Keith,

If you check the box, iTunes puts each artist in a folder. Within that,
each album is in a folder, and each track on the album is numbered. If you
have a mix CD with multiple artists, you can either give all the tracks
the same album artist, or declare the album a compilation. If it's a
compilation, the album will be placed in a Compilations folder. If you
choose an album artist, the album will be in that artist's folder. I have
this check box checked and find it useful, but if you have your own system
for organizing your music, you may want to uncheck it.

Anna

You can discuss it, but only with people that are enrolled in the public
beta program. It’s still confidential information, since it’s not released
to the general public yet. The problem is there are potentially so many
people on this list that don’t want to or are unable to join the program for
whatever reason, so I made a point of possibly not discussing it here
because of that fact. Plus, it’s hard to know if each member is a beta

As others have already pointed out, the public beta program is free.
However, especially the first public beta can often have many bugs and
you really have to be willing to put up with those. In this case, the
third beta for developers became the first public beta and I can assure
you that there are issues with various aspects of iOS. Apps may crash or
not load at all, SIRI and Voiceover may not function as expected and so
on. Being on the cutting edge can be fun, but it is not for the faint of
heart. If you rely on your iOS device a lot and don't have a secondary
device like an iPad or iPod Touch you could use for the beta I'd think
twice. I have been enrolled in the developer program and have beta
tested at least the last 3 or so iOS versions, but in the case of iOS 9
I downgraded back to 8.4 after Beta 2 came out and I believe I will wait
until at least one more beta version has been released before trying it
again.

Why not take out the Otterbox screen protector, the Defender case has a

the ground unless you drop it on rocks or gravel. I have an Otterbox Defender

I can't say what is causing the random reboot sadly but can vouch for the fact
that there were some significant design issues some encountered with otterbox's

that this case would serve for instance those in construction or rugged outdoor

Here's hoping your rebooting issues get sorted quickly. Perhaps some
diagnostic runs through apple before you abandon ship or device as it were?
Just a thought.
Good luck with it.

The griffin case is a little bulky. It is kind of like the otterbox, but the
cylicone covering is more pliable than the otterbox.
It has a similar hard plastic case around the touch, so it ends up being a lot

It still doesn't have the fidelity of a mini, but it is an improvement over the
tinny sound of the touch on its own.
That is why I say, the best choice for sound is either good headphones or a
good external speaker.

2015-07-16 Thread Mary Otten
Well, since the price of the storage modules has certainly come down, they
should just put the 32 GB model at the price that the 16 GB model used to be.
Everybody knows that the prices on the upper two models have come down. And it
just seems like a rip off not to offer the additional 16 GB at the entry level.
It's not like Apple is hurting for money. You might be right about
institutions, but I sort of think maybe not. But who knows?

Keeping the 16 GB model and pushing the 64 and 128GB versions down to where the
32 and 64 GB were selling at is in a way Apple lowering their prices without
really coming out and saying so.

I guess they’re keeping the 16 GB model around in part for
governmental/enterprize/institutional purposes. If you’re issueing an employee
or contractor or student a tablet or phone, might as well make it the lowest
capacity one since it would be for work/scholarly related activities and there
wouldn’t be a need for all that storage for personal stuff. I’m just thinking
out loud though.

Either way, you’d be buying the 64GB version be it the iPhone, iPad or Touch at
what used to be the 32GB model’s price so that’s a solid deal all things
considered.

Thanks, Richard. I had not seen the 32 GB model even mentioned. I'd still like
to see that 16 GB model go away in all the Apple products. But, at least 32
maybe making a return. I will look into this griffin case, which I have never

The size of the touch is definitely a plus. If they had a 32 GB model instead
of 16, for $200, I might go for it. The theory would be that I would use my
phone a lot less, therefore the battery lasts longer and I might actually save
some money in the long run. But 16 GB? I don't think so. Interesting about the
possibility of improving the sound with a good case. I never had a case for my
original touch. The other interesting thing is this new development with Kay
and FB and the real possibility of scanning multiple pages at one go. I wonder
how that will work, and I wonder which stand they were using.

Subject: What are the merits and risks of putting iTunes Media Folder on a USB
Hard Drive?

RE: Apple unveils all-new iPod touch with 64-bit Apple A8 chip, M8 motion coprocessor, 8MP camera, and Apple Music – MacDailyNews - Welcome Home

2015-07-16 Thread Richard Turner
Hi,

According to the web site the prices are:

16 GB, $199

32 GB, $249

64 GB, $299

And 128 GB, $399.

So, it looks like they are bringing back the 32 GB for the Touch.

I was surprised how much the sound improved with a case like the Griffin
Survivor.

But, again, sound is extremely subjective.

Good luck,

Richard

The size of the touch is definitely a plus. If they had a 32 GB model instead
of 16, for $200, I might go for it. The theory would be that I would use my
phone a lot less, therefore the battery lasts longer and I might actually save
some money in the long run. But 16 GB? I don't think so. Interesting about the
possibility of improving the sound with a good case. I never had a case for my
original touch. The other interesting thing is this new development with Kay
and FB and the real possibility of scanning multiple pages at one go. I wonder
how that will work, and I wonder which stand they were using.

The case one chooses can make a difference however.

I had the Griffin Surviver case and it added quite a bit to the sound.

Now, I would opt for good headphones or the Sound Brick bluetooth speaker.

This is why all this is so individual.

I have no use for the screen size of the Mini, so I may well buy a new touch

something with a little bit more body to it would be nice.

2015-07-16 Thread Kramlinger, Keith G., M.D.

Re: Talking timer/stopwatch App

2015-07-16 Thread eileen . misrahi

Hi,

I just finished making Chex Mix and used the native timer in the clock app. If
you touch or swipe to where the minutes/secods are counting down, it will read
out about every few secods. I also discovered that if you touch the time in the
status line and don't touch anything else it will read out every minute. HTH.

There's a free app called Audio Countdown that I'm told works perfectly for
this purpose. I haven't used it much, but I can tell you that it's accessible
and should do what you're after. I don't have a link here, but if you find an
app that wants you to pay, that's the wrong one! I can track down the link if
you need it.

Re: Talking timer/stopwatch App

2015-07-16 Thread Shai
Hi,
The clock app on the phone does have a timer and stopwatch function.
Down at the bottom of the app there are tabs for each. You could ask
Siri set the time for so and so minutes and it will set it.

Re: Apple unveils all-new iPod touch with 64-bit Apple A8 chip, M8 motion coprocessor, 8MP camera, and Apple Music – MacDailyNews - Welcome Home

2015-07-16 Thread Mary Otten
The size of the touch is definitely a plus. If they had a 32 GB model instead
of 16, for $200, I might go for it. The theory would be that I would use my
phone a lot less, therefore the battery lasts longer and I might actually save
some money in the long run. But 16 GB? I don't think so. Interesting about the
possibility of improving the sound with a good case. I never had a case for my
original touch. The other interesting thing is this new development with Kay
and FB and the real possibility of scanning multiple pages at one go. I wonder
how that will work, and I wonder which stand they were using.

Apple unveils all-new iPod touch with 64-bit Apple A8 chip, M8motion
coprocessor, 8MP camera, and Apple Music

Apple today introduced and all-new iPod touch and unveiled a new lineup of
colors for all iPod models, including space gray, silver, gold, pink and
 blue.
The ultra-portable iPod touch features a new 8 megapixel iSight camera, an
improved FaceTime HD camera, the Apple-designed A8 chip with 10 times
faster graphics performance for a more immersive gaming experience, and
even better fitness tracking with the M8 motion coprocessor. With the
newly launched Apple Music service, members can enjoy playlists curated by
the most talented music experts from around the world, stay in-the-know on
music culture with a global 24/7 broadcast on Beats 1 radio, and comment
on or like backstage photos and videos shared directly by their favorite
 artists on Connect.

“iPod touch gives customers around the world access to Apple Music, the
App Store and iOS, the world’s most advanced mobile operating system,
starting at just $199,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of
iPhone, iPod and iOS Product Marketing, in a statement. “With big
advancements like the A8 chip and the 8 megapixel iSight camera, customers
can experience next-level gameplay, take even more beautiful photos and
enjoy their favorite music, TV shows and movies.”

iPhone 6 Plus, users can play even more immersive games for hours at a

Apple unveils all-new iPod touch with 64-bit Apple A8 chip, M8 motion
coprocessor, 8MP camera, and Apple Music
Apple today introduced and all-new iPod touch and unveiled a new lineup of
colors for all iPod models, including space gray,
silver, gold, pink and blue.
The ultra-portable iPod touch features a new 8 megapixel iSight camera, an
improved FaceTime HD camera, the Apple-designed A8 chip
with 10 times faster graphics performance for a more immersive gaming
experience, and even better fitness tracking with the M8
motion coprocessor. With the newly launched Apple Music service, members can
enjoy playlists curated by the most talented music
experts from around the world, stay in-the-know on music culture with a global
24/7 broadcast on Beats 1 radio, and comment on or
like backstage photos and videos shared directly by their favorite artists on
Connect.

“iPod touch gives customers around the world access to Apple Music, the App
Store and iOS, the world’s most advanced mobile
operating system, starting at just $199,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice
president of iPhone, iPod and iOS Product Marketing, in a
statement. “With big advancements like the A8 chip and the 8 megapixel iSight
camera, customers can experience next-level gameplay,
take even more beautiful photos and enjoy their favorite music, TV shows and
movies.”

8MP camera, and Apple Music

With the A8 chip, the same used in the revolutionary iPhone 6 and flagship
iPhone 6 Plus, users can play even more immersive games
for hours at a time, all the while with great battery life. iPod touch has
become one of the world’s most loved mobile gaming
experiences — its 4-inch Retina display and rich collection of gaming titles
are further enhanced with incredible graphics
performance and thousands of Metal-optimized games. With the advanced iSight
and FaceTime HD cameras, iPod touch owners, for the
first time, can have fun with popular features including slo-mo and burst mode,
while capturing memories and everyday moments with
gorgeous photos and videos. Three times faster Wi-Fi lets customers stay in
touch with friends and family through FaceTime calls,
and download movies and TV shows with ease.

Apple’s iPod nano in new colors
The App Store on iPod touch, available in 155 countries, gives users access
to 1.5 million apps across 24 categories. iPod touch
is also the perfect way to carry your music collection in your pocket. iTunes
boasts the world’s largest music catalog, and with
Apple Music, customers have access to the revolutionary streaming music
service, Beats 1, Apple’s first ever live radio station, and
Connect, where artists can communicate directly to fans. Apple Music is
available on iPod touch through the Music app — users are
invited to a 3-month trial, after which a $9.99/month membership fee will
apply. There is a family plan providing service for up to
six family members available for $14.99/month.
iPod touch comes with iOS 8 and a collection of powerful built-in apps. Send
unlimited voice and video text messages through
iMessage over Wi-Fi, quickly make edits to your photos with the Photos app and
keep track of your fitness and wellness with the
Health app. With Family Sharing, up to six family members can share purchases
from iTunes, iBooks and the App Store, along with
photos and calendars. Parents can also create Apple IDs for children which
includes Ask to Buy where parental permission is required
for all purchases.

Apple’s iPod shuffle in new colors
The new iPod touch starts at US$199 for the 16GB model, $249 for 32GB and
$299 for 64GB, and the entire iPod family in its five
new colors is available starting today through the Apple Online Store, Apple’s

I agree with you and this is why I would never buy another touch. Unusually,
this is one Apple product I do not like despite the new generation announced

Apple music has marked lots of my iTunes Books & Spoken tracks as "ineligible"

them! They are not in the Books & Spoken genre on iTunes nor in audiobooks and
there is no Podcasts genre. Could anyone give me some signposts? Thanks! Harry

I currently have a 5th generation ipod touch and the first generation ipad
mini. My ipad mini has much better sound and better battery life than my ipod
touch. I want to upgrade to something with a 64-bit processor.

I am sure the minute you will have better speakers, if that matters. Of
course, the touch would be smaller, fit in your pocket. Maybe it's a tough
choice. I really like the mini 2.

Both of those changes you would have liked would definitely make the touch more
attractive. But, since it is the same case, maybe they couldn't put a bigger

downside to the touch in my opinion. I don't expect high fidelity, but

RE: Twitter

2015-07-16 Thread Cristóbal
Tweetings has become my go to Twitter app. There are still some things about it
I hope get fixed. It's still a bit crashy and can slow down and sometimes,
entire chunks of tweets either go missing or aren't loaded, but over all, it's
a solid ap.
The thing about Twitterrific that I don't like is that scrolling up with the
three finger flick up gesture or down almost always brings up the control or
notification center for me. If I'm placed in the wrong spot or at the top of
the list of tweets and I try to get bac to where I was or if I'm placed at a
location way down on the list and have to scroll, it quickly becomes an exrsize
in frustration for me because I'm always having to get out of those two other
screens.
The native Twitter app still does the annoying thing of never putting you in
the right spot when loading more tweets and you're always having to find your
place after doing so. That and for a while now, there's a slight pause with
Voiceover after announcing the user's name then the rest of the tweet text that
I find distracting.
It's really too bad that the TweetList folks abandoned the app.

Re: Braille Input and messages

2015-07-16 Thread Keith B.
I just got an iPhone 6 on Saturday. I had not noticed this problem with my
5S, but I am noticing it now. The only difference is that sometimes, when I
rotor back to portrait mode, there will be typing in the edit field.

I had begun to think this might be a problem with my phone. I'm really glad
you posted this, as now I'm convinced it must be some kind of bug.

Re: Deleting a word document from the iPhone

2015-07-16 Thread Kimber Gardner
Thanks Richard, that worked perfectly. Now one more question if I may.
How do you name a file anything but document1, 2, 3 etc. The save and
close button doesn't present me with the option to name the file I'm
saving. Where has Microsoft hidden the filename option?

Thanks!

Re: Braille Input and messages

2015-07-16 Thread Dan Beaver
Hmmm,

I am using it on an Iphone 5 and have had no problems like you describe at
all.

If you enter braille input mode and move a finger around the screen does it
give you any tones or bleeps at all?

Also, did you set the braill input type under voice over in accessibility
settings?

When I go and try to use the ios braille input to type a text or iMessage,
it does not work for me. It works fine everywhere else, but not there.
This is not new, it has been going on since at least ios 8.2, and possibly
earlier, I just do not remember earlier than that.
I will also say that this is not phone specific. It used to do the same
thing on my iPhone 5, and now it does it on my iphone 6, which I got in May.

I am not sure what I am doing wrong, like I said, I use it everywhere else
just fine.
This is what I do.
1, Open messages.
2, Flick down to who I want to send a message too and double tap on their
name.
3, Go down to the bottom of the screen and double tap the message edit box.
4, Switch the rotor to braille, and hold the phone in away mode.
5, When I try to type, nothing happens. I tried switching it to table top
mode, then back to away mode, still nothing happens when I try to type. I
have also tried to calibrate the dots, but still no response.
6, When I switch the rotor to something else and check the message box,
there is of coarse nothing there.

Is there anything else that I need to do before I start typing?
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Chris

Well, Microsoft does not like to make it easy to delete their documents.
When you are in the file list, along the bottom you have the account, recent,
new and open tabs, not necessarily in that order.
Touch the account tab and flick left with one finger and, wahla, you have a

I am sure the minute you will have better speakers, if that matters. Of course,
the touch would be smaller, fit in your pocket. Maybe it's a tough choice. I
really like the mini 2.

new darker blue and pink colors. A gold color will be added as well for all
three iPods.”
“The new Nanos and Shuffles won’t get new features, but the iOS-based iPod

elevation tracking.”

Gurman reports the new iPod touch’s pricing as follows:

Re: Twitter

2015-07-16 Thread Tom Lange
Hi,
Although I have had fairly good luck with the Twitter app in the past, I
settled on the Twitterrific app and have used it regularly for quite some time.
I've noticed a few quirks with it, but didn't consider them to be show
stoppers. As for tutorials, Hadley might have some material, and National
Braille Press may have some, too. Bookshare has a couple of books which may be
helpful. Check out "The Twitter Book" by Tim O'Reilly and Sarah Milstein.
There's also "Twitter for Dummies" by Laura Fitton. I downloaded both of those
quite a while back when I got curious about Twitter and have yet to read them
all the way through, but my impressions are that they look pretty good. I hope
this helps.

Braille Input and messages

2015-07-16 Thread Chris Chaffin
When I go and try to use the ios braille input to type a text or iMessage, it
does not work for me. It works fine everywhere else, but not there.
This is not new, it has been going on since at least ios 8.2, and possibly
earlier, I just do not remember earlier than that.
I will also say that this is not phone specific. It used to do the same thing
on my iPhone 5, and now it does it on my iphone 6, which I got in May.

I am not sure what I am doing wrong, like I said, I use it everywhere else just
fine.
This is what I do.
1, Open messages.
2, Flick down to who I want to send a message too and double tap on their name.
3, Go down to the bottom of the screen and double tap the message edit box.
4, Switch the rotor to braille, and hold the phone in away mode.
5, When I try to type, nothing happens. I tried switching it to table top
mode, then back to away mode, still nothing happens when I try to type. I have
also tried to calibrate the dots, but still no response.
6, When I switch the rotor to something else and check the message box, there
is of coarse nothing there.

Is there anything else that I need to do before I start typing?
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Chris

Re: IMEI on iPhone 6 box

2015-07-16 Thread Ben Mustill-Rose
Hi,

It's on the bottom side from memory but it's absolutely tiny so you
won't be able to OCR it. Even someone who is VI (fairly good VI)
needed a magnifier to read it in sunlight. Sorry. Any reason why you
can't get it from the phone itsself?

Cheers,
Ben.

Re: Twitter

2015-07-16 Thread Wayne Merritt
There are several Twitter apps that are popular and accessible. The
native Twitter app works really well. I have used both TweetList 4 and
Tweetings 2 for Twitter. I like Tweetings but it can be a memory hog
and need rebooting of the phone. I do like its rodar options for
retweeting, favoriting, and so forth. Though it hasn't been updated in
nearly 2 years, I still use TweetList 4, since I like it's layout, I'm
used to where things are and how to get to things, and it just works.
Many people on this list use Twitterific, which is very accessible and
gets frequent updates (like Twitter and Tweetings 2). I have tinkered
with Twitterific before but never really stuck with it for whatever
reason. Bottom line: there are dozens of Twitter apps out there;
download, experiment with what works for you and enjoy. If you're
looking for a tutorial/guide for using Twitter, check out Jonathan
Mosen's book Tweeting Blind, which can be gotten from his site or from
National Braille Press in multiple formats.

Happy discovering,
Wayne

Deleting a word document from the iPhone

2015-07-16 Thread Kimber Gardner
Hi All,

This morning I created a Microsoft word document on my iPhone. I did
it mostly to check the functionality of the Word app on the phone.

The good news is Word stands up pretty well and seems quite usable. My
problem is, now I can't figure out how to delete my test document from
the phone.

Any help is appreciated.

Apple music

2015-07-16 Thread Harry Bell
Apple music has marked lots of my iTunes Books & Spoken tracks as "ineligible"
so I did what someone on this list recommended and highlighted the tracks in
itunes on my Mac mini--get info--Options and marked them some as Podcasts and
some as Audiobooks instead of as Music. This went through and now I can't find
them! They are not in the Books & Spoken genre on iTunes nor in audiobooks and
there is no Podcasts genre. Could anyone give me some signposts? Thanks! Harry
