Does OT stand for over technical or something? I would hope there wouldn't
be to much of a problem with this on a techno music chat list. I
understand how it could get annoying and that this list is a more conceptual
one. It's just that I find to many of the gear lists to be dry, and too many
OT means off topic. as this is theoretically a music discussion
list, gear discussion, while related, is off topic. 313 has a sister

Hey Dave,
OT stands for off-topic. Yes, the list is about 313 music and culture, so
313 musicmaking, and 313 musicmaking culture are going to fit in
there somewhere. However, it's off-topic and frowned upon because the
majority of list members are not musicmakers. To these people,

It means that we shouldn't discuss this on 313 turf.
For some pretty decent gear lists, go to e-groups.com and search for
electronic music making, or gear lists...

My favorite booty track is on Mixxvibes Session 4. It has a great female
vocal. The best part is that people who do or don't know booty dig it about
the same. It's called PMS.
I'm gonna get my PMS, I'm going through my period. PMS. PMS. PMS. PMS.

i think that is the beauty of it...well not beauty. it is party music. who

a music that is appreciated for its talent and beauties. it should be

Maybe because it's late (or early), but I was listening to Radiohead's
Everything In Its Right Place off of Kid A and it reminds me of Detroit
Escalator's Gratiot. Anyone else think so? I just got Detroit Escalator
Co. on CD and is currently one of my favorite discs right now!
The west coast (US) obviously had a slightly different musical context.
We were always more house-oriented in any event; I would rank the
across-the-board tracks in the early 1990s as:
Show Me Love - Robin S
Rez - Underworld
London X-Press
Gravitational Arch of 10 - Vapour Space

White Falls is a bootleg of Why'd U Fall from the Epic release (not the
triple pack on Ffrr) of I Called U. The original is very rare, apparently,
though I don't know why, exactly. If anybody wants a copy, I know of

I found this old cassette on my attic. If I remember correctly it was a
tape from something called Techno soul from somewhere beginning 90ies.
Back in the days I was perhaps a little too young for it to appreciate
it as I now do.
I forgot to mention that the tracks on I Called U (Epic release) are:
The Conversation
But U Went To The Party
The Series Continues
A Series Of Events
Why'd U Fall
They are all a variation on the theme of a zombie girl who's stalking L'il
Louis. Sorry for not sending this with the previous mail!

When I was in Belgium, I found a copy of it, but I didn't really like it
(the bootleg). Fellow member John Osselaer bought it, and we listened to it
once. Has a female vocal over the apparent original beat, that states
white falls repeatedly. really just beat and vocals...

thanks jonny (for the right spelling too :),
now that i know that i own the whole I Called You ep on bootlegs i strongly

I finally picked this bad boy up last weekend and it's a treat. Three songs
in a similar, if less over the top style to the Recognition EP. New
Direction is the A-side (on mine it has a B-side label). It's fabulous. If
you like Stewart Walker, particularly the Nevermore EP, you'll love his
stuff.
I also got the Future Farmers EP on Corn Warning. I've been listening to
Kent Williams AKA Chaircrusher's music for at least five years now and I
have to say that Plasma (Novi) - track A2 is his most fully realized work
yet (not to degrade any of the other great stuff that mostly only Iowans
