The only thing I wish for that Dr-Ecco-xiya video is that they muted the
game sounds and let the music stand alone.
+1. Great stuff!

I would definitely advise you to aim for the lower numbers rather than
higher. From around vol 6 or so they started to go slightly
bad, and the
latter volumes are better defined as early hip-hop than
electro, imho! But
volumes 1-4, and the Crucial Electro spinoff, are well

The auxmen performed a few of these tracks at the demf 2002 festival Thes e

I love how people still consider electro trendy.
Funny cos it's been looked at this way since '96 or so.
Also, how people call electro retro or 80s
but never label techno this way.
Funny, cos the root-shaping of BOTH of these subgenres took place in the
80s in one way or another.
Electriyin
I remember back when there was the electro revival of 1995.
And then Drexciya came out with the Return of Drexciya on UR. As far as I
remember Drexciya had come out with at least one record every year since 91.
Now there's the electro revival of 2002.
But as to the trendiness of electro,

I don't remember, but these were all classic Clear tracks (most of which I

1980's seem to be trendy now, so all things 80's is hot.
80's style/influenced New Wave is hot
then again, techno isn't different enough from current pop/mainstream
dance to make
itself interesting. but electro is. with broken rhythms and things. and
everyone remembers breakdancing and
, and overenthusiastic commentary
on every track...
