I prefer Union Special Tech keystone jacks, but holy crap they are hard to find in the US! For their shielded jacks, they have a little lock ring that locks the cable down tight (strain relief), and provides an awesome ground. That strain relief looks like this

Runs remarkably well on a Debian AMD64 based, Xen guest virtual machine with only 256MB of RAM. Certainly fast enough for one or two people to use the https GUI simultaneously while controlling a couple of dozen APs. It runs at a CPU load of like 0.03.
