Not really wrong, it just takes different thinking than microwave design 5 or 7 years ago. I can see 4096QAM being very useful for short distance high capacity 18 and 23 GHz PTP that are paths too long for 80 GHz. But "most of the time" can be two or three nines, while it will actually be 1024QAM
