Just one gotcha: they use a T90 relay in these, and I've never seen a T90
relay rated over 28VDC (They switch high voltage AC just fine, but not
DC). Plus most T90 relays have a high minimum load (0;5A or 1A), which may
not be a problem.

I asked Forrest about doing a -48 version of the 5ch PDU. He said it
would need some tweaking since the PDU itself is powered by the main
input, kinda like a SyncInjector.
Depending on your current, you could use a regular 4-relay exp. module
to switch the hot wire for each device. Should be

Is there a relatively cheap device that can take 48v in and switch a
handful of -48vdc loads on and off?
I'm thinking like $100-200 kind of cheap. Small and DIN mount would be
best.
The packetflux PDU has a negative ground, so that's already out.
Yes, for everyone who has this issue, could you send an email into
cust...@packetflux.com. Debbie will be handling these RMA's - she's in
the process of finding the affected orders and notifying everyone. Sending
a ticket in with which of the following you want us to do, with appropriate
and smaller
components will cling to the soldering iron.

I'm hopeful that they are in the range of 98328 through 98357. It looks
like those we built since the last board revision may have an assembly
error which is causing this -
The two new ones I have are 98352 and 98356. If you could turn them
around pretty fast (say a week), then I wouldn't have a problem sending
them in to have the component removed and then returned to me so you
don't have to build new ones. Whatever you want to do. Do you want me to

Try ICT if you want remote meter and switching capabilities.
These are the ones I have been using.
How's that working out for you?

The pdu was designed to be able to be built for neg48 as well, but relies
on expansion bus power to power it. This means that if you reboot the base
unit, the pdu and the devices attached to it will also reboot. There are
some messy ways we can bring this power in to avoid this.
Because of
SoI've bought half the units sold?
You should look for my email to custsvc from yesterday. I would be
looking for 60 units at neg48.

I've heard twice now weirdness with that voltage reading. Both in the
last week. I haven't had a chance to get it on the bench to test.
I'm guessing that I'm reading the wrong adc input somehow.

Not to get off topic here, but the two 5ch PDUs I just got show 35.5-ish
volts on the master input... with no supply connected. And the status
LED doesn't flash like it normally would if it sees no/low voltage on
the master. Seems strange. Are these bad or should I just not worry
about it?
I'm pretty sure mine were reading the correct voltages until after the
software update. Now the 24v input reads 46, and the 48v input reads 61.
Hardware or software? Hopefully these can be fixed in software because

I'm 99% sure that this reading was working before as well, or at least at

I am very particular about checking the overcurrent protection on these so
I can pretty much guarantee that is fine. The voltage is sort of a 'bonus
