but does anyone know if the new(er) exabyte eliant drives are read/write
compatible with the 85xx (specific the 8505) series ?

Upon recently setting up Amanda 2.4.3b3 on my Linux machine, I have done the setup and
configuration. I just testing at the minute, I ran amverify and got the following
error
message:
fatal: open etc/postfix/main.cf: No such file or directory
The directory does exist but the file is not ther

amanda depends on a correct configured e-mail transport system, as it delivers
it's status-messages via e-mail.

index directories for that disklist entry do not exist. Amanda should
create those directories the next time amdump is run (assuming you have

am using amanda 2.4.2p2-4 on RedHat 7.2 with a Dell 120T DDS4 autoloader
and Sony 20/40G dgd 150p tapes. First specifying diskdev in the disklist
file. Is this the tape device or the actual partition to be backed up

I'm waiting for amanda to get done so's I can reboot, replaceing my kernel
with one just like it but which knows about *my* scanner by way of an edit
in drivers/usb/scanner.h to add its vendor and model numbers to that list.
Anyway, amstatus has been giving me errors for some time
