You could also import the data into a display-only form, and create a
filter trigger on submit to create or modify records in your main
form.

Hi list,
I am trying to do a simple task:
Create a new instance of BMC.CORE.BMC_ComputerSytem and see my
instance by browsing the CMDB.
I am using the CMDB console in the AR remedy user interface.
I was able to create an instance but when I try to search for it I get
no results.
Can anyone explain
I have received no help from BMC because we are on a 6.0.1 server. We
cannot upgrade the server, not an option and the graphics do not work on
the 6.3 mid-tier. Can anyone just give me a hint as to what this 'goat'
error means

Well I hope everyone's testing went as well as mine. I found NO adverse
results in my testing. We have basic Remedy/HelpDesk application usage and
our main concern was business time calculations. I also looked at
historical data and found no adverse results.
I'm a happy camper!

Goat was the code name for the Midtier server. There was also a Super
Goat. Since it's Java and goat exceptions, the issue is pointing to the
Midtier.
Sorry I can't be of further assistance.

I have to admit I was very sketchy about installing the DST patch. I
did it in a test environment 3 times and each time it failed to produce
the desired results. My windows server would jump forward an hour but
Remedy was still time-stamping records an hour behind. There were no

I did nothing as well but all of my times are off by one hour. According to BMC
this should not have happened. I do not use the mid-tier. I am on ARS 6.03,

behavior?

You say your times are off by an hour? Is this on the server or the
client?
I had noticed that for me the MS patch did not take effect until I went
in and re-selected the time zone. It seems that MS keeps time zone info
in the registry in multiple places.
The list of zones is in:

Re: DST Test Results on March 11th 8:00 AMRoger,
You might check to make sure you don't have the time zone set in the AR User
Preferences form. That could cause the times to be displayed one hour off. As
long as Windows is patched, the User tool should pull the correct time zone
settings from
You are correct. However, I am the only one in my company using the AR
User Preference form. We are a Citrix shop and are not able to use the
AR User Preference form across the board until we upgrade to 7.01. It
has to do with the way the preference value is stored in the registry.
