Hi,
As we all know that AIE is being replaced by a more powerful tool called AI.
What is the dependency of AI over server grouping?
What I mean to say is does Server grouping affects the behaviour of AI?

Neo

Hi Neo,
The AI wasn’t supported on server group till 7.6.04. It’s now supported on
server group with 8.x I believe.
Cheers

Hi,
AI can be controlled through the Server Group Ranking form as any other Admin
operation can be. Only one server is active at a time.

All are very bad ideas, however.
You CAN change the verbiage in the values without much issue, but the

A couple of the values are used by workflow such as Ordered, Received,

Ordered and Received are used by both Purchasing and Receiving console. If
you change the values, it may screw up a bunch of these systems. I am 99%

I was just reading some of the online documentation for CMDB 8.x yesterday,
and there have been some structural changes to the CMDB, where they have
moved many of the asset attributes from being tracked on the CMDB forms
over to being tracked in an AST:Attributes form. One of those attributes

Hello David,
As it was explained to me and through reading the SSO integration white

logged in at that point.
I think there is some confusion here. For SSO to work in general with

Even AssetID has vanished from BMC_CORE_BMC_BASEELEMENT in 8.x.

Yes, we have the plugin and we can get sso to function. The issue is that we
get random lockouts for the users when they are coming in through the mid-tier.
It doesn't happen to everyone at the same time. There have been times where it
does not affect a given user for several days. Then they

I do have to say however that when I could not get an ARX file to import
using the 7.6.04 SP2 Data Import tool I was advised by BMC Support to use
the 8.0 Data Import tool instead and it resolved the problem. We never did
figure out why an ARX exported from a server at the same code level threw

The Bmc OOTB SSO Plugin is very easy to break since it only depends on http

changes if you use the basic SSO with site minder or an external authentication

Nope no need for any additional workflows you can use the identification rules

I am not sure who you are NEO but it shouldn't matter for basic

Howdy,
I flagged this as off-topic since it really isn't a Remedy question per se,
though it does involve a Remedy system.

If the recon identification is finding duplicates can you see any data for

To Peter's point, first make sure you are not getting duplicates from ADDM
by checking within the ADDM data set. Sometimes, something like network
adapter change can cause ADDM to think a machine is new and creates a new
record for it but to you, it looks like a dupe.

I've been down that rabbit hole and the potential problems are an enormous

that you're very dependent on not only their infrastructure, but their
