Hello Listers,
I hope someone can shed some light on this. We have rapid deployments in our
environment so we are trying to automate the creation of packing lists to
automate our releases. So here's the scenario:
1. Every developer creates packing lists containing workflow elements
will give that a shot the next time I need to and see how that works out.

If I modify an object that already is part of a packing list, do I have to
drop and re-add it to the list, or is the current definition of each object
in the list grabbed when the list is exported to a def file?

You will get the current definition. A packing list doesn't store the
actual object, just a reference to it.

Hi,
If you export a packing list, I have seen that objects are sometimes missed. I
have no clear pattern as to when this happens, but it happened a lot at a
7.6.04 site I was working on some time ago.
Check that the objects in question are actually in the def file.

hey Misi,
The way I export packing lists is to export them this way:
right click on the server, select Export - Object Definitions. Then on
the pop-up select the packing list and on selection Add Items with
Related Property, select Content.
This way works reliably.

To facilitate that work, we have talked about loading modified objects related

Now to my question:
- How does Remedy store the Packing lists? - I presume that it's a table (or

Do a search for Packing Lists in the BMC ARS System Database Reference

Hi
On a similar theme, has anyone else noticed that Packing Lists in v7 only
seem to retain a reference to a single menu item. Add multiple menu items to
a packing List, save and close. Reopen it and you will see that only the
first menu is included.
