Upgrading from v1.3.3.10 I took the following steps:
1. Extracted assp.mod.zip to C:\ASSP - it extracted as a folder named assp.mod
2. As my installation of ASSP is in C:\ASSP I *didn't* modify anything in
C:\ASSP\assp.mod\install\install.cmd
3. I opened up a command prompt
4. I went to C:\ASSP\a
Changing to 1 caused a rollover.
I've changed back to 7 to see if it starts working again.
Thanks

Running v1.3.9.1 I have my LogRollDays set to 7 but my maillog.txt file goes

Anyone know if this is a bug?
Is there a way to force it to start a new file short of shutting down the
service and renaming the file?

I ran into the same problem in 2006 and created my own ‘Step-By-Step’ document
in the hope that it would evolve with each release.
It is intended to explain every single option but due to a luke-warm reception
to the idea of it, it hasn’t been updated since v1.2.6.
The basics are the same with an

Running freshclam --daemon gives the same error. I wonder if there's something
I'm missing in the conf file

Hmm, my freshclam.log says:
ERROR: daemonize() failed
Is this command wrong? It looks the same as yours except I had no quotes
around it - assumed I shouldn't
That did it - thanks :)

Hmm, my freshclam.log says:
ERROR: daemonize() failed
Is this command wrong? It looks the same as yours except I had no quotes
around it - assumed I shouldn't include them:
--daemon --config-file=C:\clamav\freshclam.conf
