I am worried about the attenuation issues.
I plan to buy a pair of QSC HPR153i 15 3-way Powered Loudspeakers.

Question:
For information, the file conversion settings in Slimserver were set to
ALAC-WAV. Not FLAC. I mentioned MP3 only because someone on this forum
once said that I should check that down-converting to MP3 was not taking
place. So, I compared ALAC with WAV, and preferred plain WAV by rather

I find the only EMI that's truly audible is AC power with
interconnects.
Just keep them separated, and cross at right angles.

Thanks for the help.
I have a follow up question.
The QSC's have gain controls as well. Should the QSC gain controls be
set in any specific way.
And the fact that the QSC's have gain controls mean they have built in
preamps?

ICs together and keep them away from AC cords

Best practice is to have short wires so there is no rats nest.

Not sure what you mean by RG-60 coax ICs?

Would there be any signal and/or audio degeneration if I was to use both
the digital coax and optical outs of my squeezebox 3 to two different

Coaxial cable usually used for cable TV. You can get special
connectors to turn this cable into interconnects. Much cheaper than
boutique cable.

(Can't remember if it's RG-6 or RG-60 that's used for cable TV or
satellite TV signals. Anyway, you get the idea.

Can easily do both. Take a look at the bandwidth...huge! Meant to
carry signals in the MHz or GHz range.
Does the foil shield in the coax effect noise rejection?
Yes, but this depends on the type of RG cable used. Some have a
No, there shouldn't be.
You can use the analog outputs plus the headphone output at the same

Well, the problem is resolved. Somehow, a pair of 2 meter interconnects
that had been loaned to me were the cause of it (I had none of
sufficient length at the moment). When I swapped them out, after moving
the unit closer to the amplifiers, and used my existing interconnects,
