Thank You for the info. That is great. Clock injection with Airport Express is not possible. This one uses a 12MHz clock for a USB Receiver which generates spdif. Clock signal is derived by PLL. So no exact multiple of BCK is possible. There is a new way for my project. I couldn't sleep well

I'm currently at work but will give it a try tonight when I get home and report back with my findings. FYI. . it's the first minute of the Amnesiac song where the issue surfaces. I tried running the FLAC file through Audacity to identify clipping in the source to no avail. -- enigma

Yes, the linux audio system doesn't do stupid crap like windows does. It's also a much better platform to run squeezecenter on. Download Ubuntu and give it a try. Otherwise, you could get yourself a squeezebox. -- SuperQ

I'm a little confused. I've all mp3-tracks notrmalized with replay gain at max. level without clipping. When I activate normalizing by title using replay gain if possible all tracks with replay gain are too quiet. Only activating normalizing off will result in correct levels! g. --
