Just in the process of renewing my ASIC. Cost is $200.50 for 2 years.
Cost of an AVID is $152.00 for 5 years, but you can't acess a security
controlled Australian airport with one of these.

Just had a look at my copy of Fred Hoinville's Halfway to Heaven. It was
published in 1960 by Angus Robertson.
The gliding photos include an EPB 1 Flying Plank taken at Camden. Fred
states that the Honvilles played a big part in it's development
construction at Bankstown.

years ago with limited success due to using rope instead of wire which it

Sorry to contradict, but Qantas lost a "Constellation"airliner on take-off at Mauritius 25/08/1960. The a/c was a total write off. Prior to this accident,on 28/03/1946 a Qantas operated, British registered "Lancastrian" was lost with all on board en route to the Cocos Islands. No trace
