The Pipistrel Taurus certainly looks to be an interesting aircraft. However the Sinus, Virus and Taurus are designed to an ultralight spec. I have heard that there were difficulties trying to get the Sinus / Virus certified as motorgliders through the GFA (as opposed to certified as ultralights).

Hello all the Pipistrel Sinus went through the GFA system without any problems at all, it has the same requirements/conditions as the normal "Ultralight" versions with the exception of an extra 100 placards EVERYTHING and i mean everything now has a nice sticker telling you what it is.
