Maria de Sylveira with the child's date of birth possible being 27 December

Yes on the date. I read her her name as Anna Sylveira (Silveira), wife of
Francisco Silveira (there may be another name there). She was 60, more or
less. She was buried something Nossa Senhora do Rosario. I see no parents.

Many older spellings have the "y" instead of the "i." So he was recorded as
Jeronymo, which in modern Portuguese would be Jeronimo. Record Jeronimo in
your genealogy program and make a note that he is recorded with the older
spelling of Jeronymo.

The family does appear to match. Some in the FamilySearch line have CCA
references, which is great (for when CCA is back up). The earliest Conde entry

I'm pretty sure it's a term though. In my American research, when I've seen
a baby referred to as a "creature" the baby died. It appeared to have birth
defects. I don't know that would be the case in the Azores though. I've

The records are the spelling rules before 1911. The translators use the
modern spellings. So that is why you see the discrepancies.
The number one: um, hum, and hu (with the tilde over the u) is one that
confuses the translator. Many others exist too.

I agree with Cheri except that the Godmother, Maria Rebela, is the wife of
Pedro Machado, rather than Manuel Martins Rebelo..
You and I probably connect in Ribeirinha somehow. I match 6 of the FTDNA
kits you manage. The only one that is closer than "remote" is Amelia
