Larger, fitter, better disciplined, teams will reduce the levels of fatigue
and risk of injury.
EU(C)C and WU(C)C tournaments insists that teams have a minimum of 12
players rostered for every game a team plays (though I'm unsure whether
they're supposed to be "fit to play", or just "rostered"!)

Well Chris did get elected with a remit to change the Tour, but as ever with
sensible people (yes I am talking about Chris Hughes) he will, as I know he
has already started to do, solicit opinion from relevant sources and maybe
even ask the question on Britdisc if he is feeling particularly cr
I sent the link to the GBwomen and I agree it's very good. My only misgiving
is that it doesn't stress the need for isotonic drinks in hot climates and
talks a lot about rehydrating with water. If anyone doesn't know the
consequences of this talk to Mango (Chev Souf) or look up hyponatremia.

Couldn't agree more. Last year for BritOpen, we decided to do something
about this by A) telling the caterers what we wanted and B) getting a
Nutritionist to examine the sport's participants' requirements. She went to
great trouble and the outcome of her findings can be seen on the BritOPen

I agree,
However, quick note about T3;
We tried to get an independant catering service in to provide more healthy
options of sustainance. But due to the site already holding a catering licence
this was not possible, which the university told me a week before the event,

Stig raised a point yesterday about stucture of the tour going forward -
How is the change of the tour going to be managed? Does Chris Hughes as DOC
have complete say and freedom, or is there a 'committe' to deliver a new UK
tour?

The nature of our sport is that we play over weekends, and we play 2,3 or 4
games a day - this doesn't ever need to change unless
I know from personal experience in the Lookfly pitchside shop that we weren't allowed
to have any drinks or food in the shop at Southampton this weekend. The venue would
not allow it as they claimed it takes away from any profits the venue makes from

I agree with Maria. There needs to be more variety in
food at Tour. I like eating healthy food especially
when playing frisbee because you need the vitamins and
nutrients to maintain peak performance. I feel
sluggish after a fry up.

Folks, below a message I recently sent to Stig regarding the addition of a
'food options' category to his minimum tournament requirements. He has
agreed to add it but I thought I might spark a debate because I'm not sure
it's something ultimate players give enough thought to. I would like to

Me being one of those players coming from London to tour 4 is looking for a

Hi All,
Concerning a a problem at BritOpen... We've never had any problems like this
before and I'm also not aware of anything similar occurring at any other
Ultimate events.
Although most ultimate players like to party hard and have a damned good
time (I actually think it should be obligatory!),

Just to recap the video includes highlights of 8 games played at tour three

The train is the best option right now.
£83 rtn from either the virgintrains or GNER websites.
The cheapest flight I could find last night was £130 but if you can fly early Friday
or return late Monday its much cheaper
If anyone sees a cheaper flight from London to either Glasgow or Edinburgh ple
