I am about to jump into the tablet arena. With 1000s of PDF, Tech Ebooks,
implementation guides, project templates, etc.. I am looking to use
something other than my laptop. 95% of my tasks would be reading, but I
would also like to be able to update a word doc if needed
I have a Kindle DX - I sue it mostly for school. If you think you are
going to be doing a fair amount of web browsing, the Kindle is not
for you.
Besides being monochrome, the browser is very primitive, and a pain to
use since the screen is not a touch screen.

The only problem I have with the kindle and pdf handling is the
inability to zoom.
I use my ipad for all pdf work. zoom is nice, as is the color.
