Perhaps via some frame trickery. You could submit to one frame, then grab the size from the headers and tell the form that is posting the file to relocate itself via javascript, which would effectively stop the transfer. This may be a better way to do it though, it of course doesn't work in NS4..

I saw a demo of iiFramework at CFSouth in February. I thought it was incredibly powerful, with an amazing error-handling scheme that even uses CFTRY / CFCATCH to enforce your business rules, but it also appeared to me that it would take six months to learn before I could even build a small site
