I went with a 50" Samsung DLP, they tend to be considerably cheaper than the
other types you mention. I ordered it from Amazon, they had it delivered and

This rant is typical of what I read about. Of course, one doesn't really
hear the "I love them" stories in reviews, but still. It certainly seems
that you have to whip up a pricing matrix to see what you're *really* going
to be paying after they nickel and dime you to death. Then there's the
pro

FIOS doesn't have the sunday ticket.
as long as directv has a monopoly on the sunday ticket (and i'm not
living in the NY/NJ area), I have no other option than directv :\

Well, that would be nice...if DirecTV didn't have the monopoly on the NFL.
That would be the ONLY reason I'm considering it.

I've got DirecTV for the sunday ticket (Giants fan living in Cali).
The only reason I have the satellite vs cable is the Sunday Ticket. I
really have no preference one way or the other... other than I

I've got a Sony Bravia 40" LCD, it's cheaper than the equivalent plasma.
While the burn issue isn't as bad as it was you're still safer plugging
video game consoles in to LCD.
The picture on the Bravia is amazing and theirs a ton of hook up points.
