OE is much better than Netscape if you have different mailboxes which
you want to send mail from using different from lines/sigs and you don't
want to have to keep leaving the program and coming back in under a new
profile, etc. OE's filtering is some

I'm afraid I missed any early complaints or discussions that caused Michael
to feel we needed [CF-Talk] in the subject line at all. I use a Notes
Client at work, so I have no sorting capabilities there at all and p--s
poor filtering. I use Netscape at home, and my filters work fine on the To:
and
stray messages. So what is the big deal? jees!

In Outlook the [cf-talk] works well -- if there is the worry about off-topic
messages being filtered, you can include in the rule an "except if sent
directly to me".

I agree that the [CF-Talk] is annoying, useless in terms of content, and
I really wish it were gone.
I find it much easier to filter based on the address to which people
are sending the mail. That way when someone emails me a private message in

This was an experiment based on many emails that I've received asking for
it. On the whole, I don't like it and others seem not to as well. In the
morning I'll switch over to having it at the end and see how that works.
This should satisfy everyone. As usual, comments are appreciated. :)

My point exactly.
Not to gripe, or anything, but couldn't it be put at the END where it has less
visual significance to the reader, but is still picked up by filters?
How about it, M.D.?

Hey guys,
How come I'm receiving all this mail with subject lines starting with
"[CF-Talk]"? Is this a new list policy? Its just that it adds little information
content, and means I'm less likely to see enough of the real subject line to be
bothered opening the email.
I mean it would be OK if it
