I just finished up a 68 4 door hardtop, well almost, need a few minor trim
pieces to finish it off. It's destined to be sold as soon as I'm done with
it. I've also been hammering out a 69 Charger for the last 10 months,
proceeding to the bodywork now. Anyways, I lined up the Chevelles today
Here is a link with more pics of the 68:

Tom, Are you near Kennesaw GA? I've seen a '68 4 door around here that looks just like yours. Send me an email about your charger, I just got one and am trying to decide how to do it up.--Shawn'69 Corvette 427 4-Speed'69 Chevelle SS 396 4-Speed'69 Charger R/T 383 4-Speed'67 Chevy C-10 3-On The

Ya. For me to find somethin in decent shape I'd probably have to go to some southern state cuz anythin thats been up here in Buffalo is gonna be really rusty andbeat, maybe even have a few bullet holes from stray bullets. But it will all have to wait till I'm done with college and have enough
I was like that when I was a 7 or 8 yr. old boy. My
uncles purchased two(2) 63 Impala SS's. I was in love
and hooked from that moment on. I hope you will follow
your passion. There are thousands of people working at
jobs that make them money but are not where the
passion is. Agree? Best Regards
Exactly. I love classics and muscle cars. No plastic cars for me. Never would survive the school parking lot in the winter. I jus wish they could make a cologne that smells like a chevelles exhaust. :)
Just dash
on some 93 Octane, it gives the same effect!

LOL. I get the implied meaning behind that one.( if that was really a sarcastic statement, otherwise, yes they should have):)
My parents never bought me a car. My
choice was to either ride my bike 2 miles to the train station to pick up my
dads powder blue AMC station wagon and then be there to pick him up when he
got off the train, or buy my own car. Eventually I bought a 1967 Nova for $125,
which burned as much
LOL. Nice car. I konw its gonna be a long time before I can buy a chevelle. I'll have to pay off college bills, and hope to have a job that pays enough for me to set aside small amounts of money til I can buy a chevelle. Then I'll have to hope that, if I have a wife, she will let me. Otherwise
The 67 Nova was my first car, so that must have been about
1979. That car got T-boned and I junked it. My second car was a 1963 Nova that I
bought for $300.

Not only that, you can blame your later addiction to those cars on your parents for not indulging your innermost youthful desires. My parents didnt buy me that 67 SS I wanted out of college, so Ive blamed my 30+ years of insanity

LOL. I
agree. That was my fuel for
desire, too! That and the fact
that my Dad had a 67 Malibu, and a 68 SS. And I drove a POS rangergrumble

With that said, if any one wants the Super Shifter mounting plate, its yours

From our first page, you click on the image of the blue 70 Chevelle. That take you

There is no set width for the housing, it varies depending on the backspace
of the wheels.
There is no reason I can think of to have different width for 4 link over
ladder bars, sometimes the bars mount under the frame and sometimes inside it
but this only affects frame width not the axle
to be.
Any other people got ideas or theories?

Here is more info on the rear end question:
Thenarrowed rear clip for my 71 Chevelle has arear axle housingthat measures 34 inches flange to flange (not axle to axle). The frame rails measure 24" wide.
I called the manufacturer of the clip and spoke to them (SW). They saidtheir weld
Update: I talked with PRC Aluminum radiator representative. He indicates the Team Chevelle guy is right, i.e., the Twin Spal fans will not fit on a 27 inch wide radiator. You need the 31 inch radiator. That will not fit on a Chevelle.
Then I ran into another problem. I have a 383 stoker engine on

Well it has been sometime since I have done anything to my project 69 Mallibu. Mainly because it has been way to cold out and I had to get the 70 ready for World of Wheels. Now I can finally get the 69 done. I found the last part I need to complete it, the vinyl top moldings. True Connections out
All,
So here is the new happenings on myengine

engine. When I got it tore apart, I took it down to a friend at the local hot
rod shop and had him check it out. The Crank had major damage and the cam was

All,
Thanks for all the responses from my last
question.. So everyone one knows I did have a little bit of metal in the
oil, but originally I thought that the problem was with the manual fuel pump. So
I decided to tear down the motor.. Now comes the fun part of figuring out what I

Larry,
I'll take a crack at this but I really think you need to go back and
read the numbers again:
Pistons ?
Crank 8932442 ?3932442 = 267,305,350 cast medium journal 3.48 stroke
Crank holder ? are you talking about the main caps
Block = 3976010 ? The closest I can get is 3970010
Hey Gang
Here's another update on the 69 project.
Both 1/4 panels are on, I had the engine/tranny rebuilt, just got the engine back today. We are going to put the engine/tranny in the frame tomorrow and try to drop the body back on to the frame Sunday. I plan on having this car in the body shop
Actually,
I know somebody who has a dark green standard steering wheel in nice shape.
I've seen it in person. It was offered to me for my 69 but I didn't want to dye
it. I'll find out the details for you Tom and put you in touch with the owner.
Also, I am
on jury duty, so I'm really
Well I thought I was going to be able to get the old 69 Malibu out to the paint shop by the end of this month, not gonna happen. The body work is mostly complete. We still have to hang the new 1/4s on.
I need an opinion here on the 1/4's too. The repro skins I bought extend over the rocker panels
Don't feel bad Tom. I got my 69 into the
resto shop in November, and the guy hasn't even started it yet. He originally
said it would be ready by March. Somehow I think it will take a bit longer...
