Yep that does sound bad.  I put a little drop of baby food in their mouth for them to taste it and usually that will incourage them to lick it up.  NO I would never shove lunch meat in a dogs mouth.  But nutrical alone will not be enough.  Getting the dog to eat is the #1 objective.Chris <[EMAIL

I can't go to the vet who treated him because they are only open on weekends and holidays. It's an emergency vet that did all this work on him. They faxed the papers to his normal vet who referred me to the emergency vet on Saturday night via answering machine. They don't answer their phone

I think we may go to the vet though because he never is sick during the day. It's always late afternoon and evening and then he's throwing up and diarrhea. He hasn't had a normal stool since he's been home and hasn't eaten but that once just now, seems fine, but then he always does in the day

Is he eating? that is the most important part! if he is fine now then what ever you tried most of worked.  He most have Coccidia or they would not of put him on Albon.  Albon is good but slow to work.  Watch him closely as I have seen pups with a severe case of Coccidia start experiencing sugar

Since he was at a vet for 24 hours and they still don't seem to really know what's wrong with him, I wonder just how effective that will be. They never really told me what they were testing for, just gave a big list of stuff they did. I do know that they tested his blood sugar and sent him home
