first! The question never said that they were transmitting at the same time
and/or on the same physical segment.

What type of modem would be best? What are the average prices? I don't
need anything great, I'll just be using in my lab to dial up to an ISP to
test, all I need is something like a 56K modem. Any suggestions??
BTW: you all have been very helpful, thank you..

I have this set up below: My problem is that I can not ping E0 on R2501
from anywhere. I also cannot enter a static route to it. How would I get
the 2501 to act as a gateway between the two networks? I've done some
searches and looked over some books but I'm still not getting out through
E0.
Hey thanks to all.. You all were a huge help. It's working fine now.

I was wondering where one might find and IOS upgrade from version 11.2 to
12.0? Also how much does such an upgrade usually cost? Is the upgrade
preformed merely through tftp? Any answers to these questions would be
greatly appreciated : )

If you look on page 105 of the BCRAN book it says that PPP uses NCP to
configure Layer 3 protocols not necessarily the Layer 3 address. IPCP is
the NCP used to establish and configure the IP protocol. But on the other
side why would you use an NCP to have the PPP session support the protocol

I had the same problem with one of my 2502s, I just called tech support and
they asked me to open the router up and re-seat some cards. I'm sure if you
call them they will tell you to do the same.
Good luck,
