Actually, I just purchased CCIE Test #3 by Dennis. I was having
a little bit of trouble with the older version so I installed the
latest version of the software, 5.10 I think, and everything was
fixed. Not only that, but in Dennis's test, he has multimedia
tutorials as well. I only saw one of them
on my CCNP, but I figured it
doesn't hurt to set a goal and start working toward it.

having a GRE tunnel between 2 sites, and you use an "overlapping public
range" across it, you can do it.

The MSFC has over 15 vlans.
The vlan in question has over 60 active devices.
There is one device that when pinged (datagram size does not change the
result) it produces a source quench.

I love how all these guys use boson as the point of comparison. That alone
tells me something. When I passed the written I used several of the popular
books, including reading Caslow and Doyle, which are more for the lab, but
are great books. Then I tested myself with the #1 and #3 bosons; a

havent seen the BOSON labs.
but IPEXPERT is GOOD, CCBOOTCAMP labs are a must if you want to go for the

Yes, I have seen this on 1720, I agree with you that you cant make it boot
the bootstrap ios by using register value as 0x101 or 0x2101, however I

Are you using X21 extender cables.. I have run into these errors in the past
many times primarily due to the faulty extender cables. Try using Cisco only
cable end to end (NTU to the Router).

Good work.. I passed yesterday (got 83). Just wondering and also for the
sake of others, what did u read (books etc. )bosons if any. Since I am
trying to work on a set of books/materials which people can use, since there
is lots of confusion going around.

Remove the cards out of Slot 3 & Slot 4 and give it a try. and what terminal
emulation prog. are u using, the break key (usually ctrl+break) has to be
pressed within the first 60 secs, when its booting.

Sorry, missed the earlier one..
btw, how was the CCIE prep guide (QUE) and the Network Learning Guide. I am
assuming that Network learning are the CCBOOTCAMP guys (correct me if I am
wrong).
