The forward delay is the time the port takes to transit from listen to learn
or from learn to forward.
fwd-delay = llisten -> learn
or
fwd delay = learn-->forward .
default forward delay is 15 sec ,
which means the total time the switch spends in listening and learning is 30

Different IP addresses are mapped to the same host name (for fault tolerance

Hi,
That's not right ,Gill, A reg value of 0x2148 will not take the router in
this "Router(boot)>" mode ,I aggree with you other justification.
The reg value what i know will take you in this mode is 0x2101 (System Flash
Read Write Mode)

I would suggest you to use a multihomed PC with two
NIC,connect your NIC'S TO THE TWO VLANS respectively and enable IP forwarding
between the NIC'S,But this will allow all host from VLAN-1 to communicate with
VLAN-2 and vice-versa.
If you want have a control on the hosts communicating from
For RADIUS on NT U need to have NT RESOURCE KIT

I feel the summarized supernet route should be 172.16.1.0/22
from the below fig ..its clear that the no of common bits in the MSB part is
22
|
If you expand 172.16.1.0 in bin ->10110110.0001.00 |01.
172.16.2.0 in bin-->10110110.0001.00
|10.
If you are using Bay stack switches,It is possible to configure a single
port to be part of multiple VLAN's.
Other option is to make your DC'S multihomed,and connect different NIC's to
different VLAN's

Yes,Even i have seen ,the book mentioning FIFO as a default Q'ing method.
Also in the COLT (Cisco On-Line Testing) if you click at FIFO ,the answer is
considered to be right.
But I have seen several other references which says that WFQ is the default
Q'ing method for links having speed less than
Inorder to reflect the new router ID without rebooting ,You can shutdown
your serial 2/1 interface and then bring it up by no shutdown.
