month. I'm now studying the Cisco book and doing the practice exams on

it doesn't seem like anyone wants to commit and possibly tell you not to
worry about LANE when you might have some questions on it in the test. From
everything I have seen on line, in the books I have recently studied and
from the BCMSN class I took last week, I would say NO I don't think there
No Lane.
I took the CCNP recert yesterday, No lane at all.

I passed the BCMSN test, but you can look at the Cisco documentation for
what should be on the test. If you've taken any courses for the CCNP, or
look at the info from Cisco, you will probably see that ATM, and LANE in
specific, is a very small percentage of the material covered, if at all.

I took it last week.
Not difficult; read and understand the Cisco Press Switching Certification
Guide and know the various switch types.
It should be fine. Almost everything is covered except ATM and Token Ring.

mistake, I didnot check out with cisco.com to see: No ATM technologies in
the exam. In the exam that I took, there are no ATM questions. You will be
hit hard on STP, MLS, Multicast and Cisco property protocols...

I am studying for CCNP Switching and have come across 2 chapters of
multicast. Multicast could get very tricky and in depth. The best and worst
things about Cisco Press is the level of detail they get into. They give you
more detail than you need for the exam (which is great becuase you
need to
spend a few hours on the cisco site filling in the gaps.

The sample Bosons are free but I would highly recommend paying for the full
version. It's a great test. It's difficult and cover more stuff than the
real exam but if you score pretty well on the Boson, you're almost
guaranteed to pass the exam in my opinion.

Hi All, A quick Question, How much IP Multicasting is there
on the Switching exam ? I've not done
Have anyone taken the CCNP Switching 2.0 test? If so are ther a lot of
multicasting questions on it? I'm using the Boson.com prep test and the
one from Jason asks a lot of multicast questions.
