I will be taking the CIT exam this week and would like to know what is
considered passing. When taking the Transcender exams my average score was
around 85%; if anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated!

I can't remember the exact passing score, somewhere in the low 700's I
think. In my opinion, it's the easiest of the four.
You're best off checking the cisco site for info on the test. It seems like
they really try to be accurate with what's on the site being what's on the
test.

The Boson test is probably good and also probably right to focus on theory
rather than the real world, considering it's a Cisco test. :-)

I Agree with you. CIT was probably the easiest for me as well. Routing
was definately the hardest. For other studying for the CCNP i reccommend
taking Routing as your 3rd test. I found myself referring back to my
routing book often while studying for CIT as I had forgotten some of the
fram

But, candidates who registered for the old CIT 506 exam prior to
05Jun2002 have until 17Jul02 to take it.

friend of mine with 3 to 4 years experience with Cisco found the new CIT
(Beta trial) exam quite difficult. He failed and waited for 12 weeks to get

Hmmm, not sure if I agree with that based on my experiences with the 606
beta and the 506 exam. I took the beta back on march 18 and failed
(according to prometric anyway, I still dont have any official results and

The CCNP CIT exam pool of questions was revised recently and the new exam
number is 640-606, but the questions on the new exam are still multiple
choice and there are a few drag and drop or pick and place if you prefer.
This exam is no more difficult than the prior version in my opinion and it
again with my CCNP books, this time to make notes after
cross-referencing the CCIE level books.

I sat this test about a month ago, passed with 898 I thought it was a
shocking test. Badly written, VERY badly written.
I hope they change it, I feel I could have gotten alot better mark if it was
clear what they were asking!

really studying for only a week. Anyway a pass is a pass, so now I join the

Exam Cert guide for Support , the Brainbuzz cram is useless. Read the book,

It sounds to me like everyone agree to it being either the easiest or
hardest - so it probably won't help answering Joshua's answer very well.
And Joshua, I can strongly recommend Priscilla's flash cards - they helped
me pass the tes
Easy test for someone who has hands experience. I also used Ole's CITCMD

badly compared to the other exams, and I was asked questions about specific
details that I did not recall having read in any of my books.

that and it was much more challenging.
