You might consider modifying your mainsail instead. The leech of Touche's

If 14 volts, are you seeing 14 volts across the battery terminals when
motoring?

Therefore, a
diesel running 2800 rpm has a prop speed of about 1400 rpm. Diesel drives
are pitched at 12-16, give or take. That, and a flatter torque curve, is
why diesels are better for punching into waves.

Good idea.
Buddy of mine bought a Beneteau 47 with a deep keel and had a shoal keel
put on. A few weeks later he found a guy with a shoal keel that wanted a
deep keel. Bad timing.

Spent a week cruising on a Beneteau 47. Like driving a bus or a big RV.
On the other hand, having a private stateroom with dedicated air
conditioning and head was nice.

Looks similar but mine is blue and not stretchy. Same snap shackle
perhaps.
Reassuring to see the 60 lb pull number in the article. I think my fix
will withstand that.

Thanks everyone for supporting this list with your contributions. Each and
every one is greatly appreciated. If you want to support the list - use PayPal

. If so, fill out your personal info and Kidde will send you a
replacement. Drop your old one in their box, slap on the supplied label
and call FedEx for pickup. Many FedEx offices will not take it because it
requires a specially trained person to accept it.
I got two replacements. :)

Not sure what I want. Was looking for ideas. Those are nice, however.

FYI, Touche' has an inboard jib track with a sliding padeye. I tie my
spring lines to the padeye. Not optimum but usable.

l note, I need to figure a way to protect the top seal from UV
exposure. I might find a proper size plastic washer or plastic or PVC cap
and slip it down the rod so it sits on top of the cylinder and shades the
seal.

All,
There used to be a spring checklist on the DIY page of the C Photo Album
site. I get a 404 error when I try it.
Anyway, as the author, I put a copy here:

I used Epiphanes Gloss on Touche' in 1999. Haven't touched it since.
Still get compliments.
