Colours on XEmacs have changed to something horrendous and ugly. The
ordinary defaults that blend well with the rest of the desktop are

The new Mandrake User Guide is a great step forward, but how about throwing some
resources at updating poorly maintained HOWTOs?
BTW, there should be a better way to access the docs and READMEs that are installed
during the installation. They are everywhere and hard to find unless you are good

It is a well-done site, kept up to date and provides useful info. If I can't get

New package suggestion: create BugDrake, a place where users can submit a bug
report about any arbitrary problem. These reports would be checked by the
distro company. If it was an actual bug (as opposed to a misconfiguration or
non-RTFMer) they could send it to the appropiate team.

What I pointed out was that the latest netscape cooker
(let me remind you this *is* the cooker mailing list,
it just happens it gets also used for debugging
Mandrake pre-releases)
Include more games, different packages for different installations.
For example, include Quakeforge for different targets (Glide, OpenGL, SDL whatever) so
that people just have to fire it up.

When "high" security is selected, would it be a good idea to drop many of
the suid bits on programs like ping, traceroute, passwd, chsh, etc...for
example /usr/sbin/usernetctl IMHO should not be availible for anyone on a

During the selection of what services to run, linuxconf doesn't seem to have a
popup description like all the other services do.

for yes/no questions during the install process. A minor thing, but no harm in
