I've had them posted for quite a while built specifically for mandrake.
For what it's worth, I get the same error message when trying to
configure X with a 3Dlabs Permedia 2 card. This was true in Mdk. 7.2 and
in betas that followed. Using an old Trident 975 I was able to get X
working.
RedHat 7.0 and 7.1 will install properly with the 3Dlabs card.

There is a bug in gcc that causes this problem. it is documented on the
videolan website. try runnig this as a workaround:
