The network service doesn't take care of hostname, so just running service
network restart won't change it even if it need to be changed in new profile.
The attached patch doest take care of this.

OK, i just launch it from a console as ROOT. It works !
But nothing as a simple user. I think there is a problem ...

yes still valid.
I have done a new install on a cooker = rc2
the /etc/sysconfig/network is almost clear (only GATEWAY and NETWORKING)
this bug is easy to reproduce.

Your computer must boot with lapic not nolapic option for 7mdk
lapic (reenable local apic)
