Make sure that you have compiled Qt with thread support!

Yes but the current stock mandrake kernel is built with 3.0
3.1 will build the Nvidia drivers.

kernel was built using gcc=30 what ever that means but i have
gcc3.0-3.0.4-5mdk and i tried to
export CC=gcc-3.0
and it didn't work
