A friend posted this issue to alt.os.linux.mandrake. The issue was verified by
multiple users on 9.0 and 9.1. It is not present in 8.2 and earlier. It was
noted that
when inserting the card, the modules hermes.o and orinoco are loaded
properly but the card doesn't seem to be able to talk to my AP properly.
tried drakconnect to set Mode and SSID but no effect.
Also when removing the car dthe Notebok lockup completely.
had to pcmcia stop first to avoid this
